majority of players on this thread are not majority of players, I've explained that in my earlier posts. so don't continue on your blasphemy plz. and let other players share their opinion instead.
p.s. those statistics has no valid info to support them and has been counted and defined by an "unhappy player" not by a mod so they don't have any valid value.
ex. how you can even say how many of players who posted on this thread are even still upset and unhappy or not (& vice-versa ofc), about this update after Latten and other mod's explanations.
You say it as if its simple, at the moment all that is definitely done on those is the background graphic, and presumably a plan of whats going to happen on it. However all the other graphics (for produce), animations, and coding so it all works is unlikely to have been done. I expect thats neither as quick or cheap as people presume based on some of the outrage. Just working out how much things cost/earn appears to be hard enough (based on this update)
I think we have to just wait for the gourmet update as that cannot be more than a few weeks wait away.

Off topic, i know.. but aslong as the word is in use and gets to stand.. i guess its ok if everyone is sure of what it means
Now, I dont know what every single person that plays this game thinks...but aslong as there has been a poll in another thread, where ppl could vote without being worried about angry retorts.. I belive it shows a fairly correct overview of the gamecommunity standing as a whole concerning this update.
I know there has been claims the the ppl that like the update are afraid to talk in this thread due to the somewhat heated atmosphere, and i am sure those claims are true for some ppl.
But.. they are true for some ppl that do not like the update aswell, and i know this for a fact, allthough i cannot prove it without breaking their confidence.. and braking forum rules.
So my suggestion is... while we can agree that many find the environment in here too hostile.. then lets focus on the ppl that actually HAS posted or voted.. and so far the majority is unhappy with said update.
first one asks: so you're unhappy?
then second says: yes i am
then first one says: ty i am too
then second says: yea me too
seriously guys?
Why don't you take your own advise here and let the "happy" players post ?? After reading dozens of posts the one i see acting like that and playing wanna be Mod is you!!
Now back on topic before my post also gets deleted along with many others before in this thread i am onother extremely unhappy player with the happiness update and agree withh all that was said by players here so i'm not going to repeat the whole again ..i am one of the ones that didn't post here before but voted in the other thread before no one needs to accuse Ladygrail of speaking for others . She is right when she says unhappy players are still here because being loyal to the co-op, i am one of those because we had a project going when update happen and an ongoing one now so for now i'm still playing but dislike the happiness update very much.
Not everyone comes to post or read forum because some coops have the leader or another player that comes to forum and brings back the news to the whole co-op but i just felt the need to post now after seing so much ramblings of yours of saying to let others post their opinion !!!

You improve your running costs as usual - Decoration
Yet that is not what we have here. If you pay to go to a ball game, you go with the “expectation” that there will be a “win” or a “lose”. You will not expect a refund, and you will continue to go to ball games because you got what you “paid” for.
Yet if you paid to see a ball game and the management decided that the players would play a game of hide and seek instead, you have the right to expect a refund. If they refused to compensate the spectators, and consistently came up with varying reasons for their behaviors…you can be sure that there would be a reaction.
This all started because of the players that strategically chose to have a mass production farm. The management made this statement about that:
“Now, again I see where you're coming from. In a way, we _are_ punishing some of our most clever and comitted players since they are the ones who actually came up with this. But! If this way of playing the game will be picked up by everyone - which would be the case if we just leave it like that, no doubt - because it's both highly efficient and clearly the "better" choice, if you'd have to choose between the two methods”.
With that, and many other comments, I also have chosen to become a mass production farmer. Yet prior to my decision, I had always seen that it was GGS that created the very setting for players to find the better choices to play the game that was set before them. The very “creation” of the game by GGS was to implement “rankings” within the game itself. That soon became the game “within” the game. GGS has gained their greatest profits from this. All this from the Top Players in the game.
GGS could have chosen a totally different method of implementing this farm game, where they would have attracted most players in wanting to pay to play. The farm game itself brings a lot of happy players on board. Mix that in with a confidence and trust in the gaming management, and you can have a sure winner.
Yet the management has lost respect from many of their players because they have taken from players what they paid for, have set into motion by fellow players a belittling of players that have brilliantly changed up their farms to play the very game that was set before them, and have mismanaged the handling of this aspect of the game.
So, I really do not see a lot of these players being silenced any time soon, and that truly is a shame because it does not need to be this way. The creators of this game could find a way to resolve this. Having owned my own business…I know it “can” be done.
I'll beat it one more time for luck...
Just an observation and one simple question. I completely understand that greater significance is now given to the "higher" end of happiness. Anything above 90% should be difficult to attain. Excellence isn't free in the real world. I get it. What I don't understand is why so much MORE significance is attached to the other end of the spectrum. Motivated players who wish to contribute the most to their co-ops are most often the same people who love the game and want it to be successful. Production farms are not the debil! These are farms managed by the players you should be trying to keep happy. They stay around and I bet they spend the most money in here in general. Why alienate this segment of your player-base? That's what I don't get. Listen to your loyal players, PLEASE.
The problem that I am having is that it doesn't appear to be a benefit to putting in extra decorations now. The point of decorations to reduce happiness is gone. You'd have to either have 70% of your playing field filled with happiness or have nothing but blue houses and gold decorations to achieve anything even close to 100%. This just doesn't seem right. If the logic of the update was to get players to put more decorations on farms, then why the marginal return for putting decorations on farms?
Instead, this update has shown me that there isn't much of a cost to adding another house or losing another decoration. So, that is what I am doing. To squash with my prior concern with happiness and running costs. The running costs are not that bad, even when you are in the red. I built my gourmet farm while it was in the red for the vast majority of the initial build, and I still made money.
This is just a sad time for GGS BF. I am more committed to not spending a single dime on this game ever again. And, I am sure the frequency of my play will go down. Do better.
