But the update probably wont be changed even if this thread moves up into the 100 pages so not much can be done to avoid the "final outcome" if thats where this game is heading. If anything the threats of gold boycotts and walkouts will just take us to the final outcome you mentioned a lot faster.

Ladygrail, please don't feel like a fool. :( Your posts have been a big help to me. ;)

I am doing the only thing I can do. I am not buying any more gold. If GGS wants me to spend more money, they will have to make some changes. As I said before, the way they treated players with this change told me everything I needed to know about GGS. But that does not change the fact that there are a lot of great mods and players and a great game to still be played. I am just playing it differently, now.

Thanks for all the time you have put into the forum.
thank you, and im happy to hear that:) Ok i no longer feel like a fool ,lol

and i agree.. there are really good mods here, and a lot of even better players:) this is a game with waaay better players than they deserve.

You are right, you are totally right. i dont think they will redo the change either.
But they brought this upon themselves you know. The way ppl feel is , well how they feel, and just give up a fight for fair treatment just because you know you may not get through with it i this round.. is no reason to give up:)

If you dont fight to win, why fight at all?
And we may not win the case at hand.. but altleast we can stand tall afterwards, and thats not a bad thing either:)

And they goldboycotts and walkouts? they are happening as we speak.

someone.. whos name id mention if it wasnt so hard to pronounce.. made an excelent image of how the new happinesscurve is per point of +versus-
And its not even realistic to be above -90 and have a good production.

I'm assuming its my graph you are mentioning... my name on here is Minadequate which is short for mentally inadequate, but people end up calling me anything from Mina/Mini etc to Jen (my actual name)

the full info can be found here, but simply the new (blue) vs old (red) happiness vs running costs look like this (more graphs and data found in the thread)

    294thf8.jpg
(this comparison doesnt show the full extent of how much is required for -97% over 1800 but that and the new +% running costs are all in the thread).
Now they have to replace all of them with even bigger ones to compete for the coveted -99.99% run cost; I wonder how much real cash GG will pull in for someone to reach that?

That wont happen over 97% is basically impossible however good the decorations are, and it wouldn't make sense based on how much space would be used up. Larino managed -97% and her farm looked like this: attachment.php?attachmentid=9978&d=1394745888

The reason I don't push it too far when voicing opinions is that I don't want to be involved in the punishment of players. What I mean by that is there are lots of players that love this game and pushing negativity and being part of gold boycotts will have this game shut down because they can no longer afford to pay the workers. Then everyone misses out! I'm not a fan of this update, actually a lot of updates haven't sat well with me particularly the deco tower so i'll post my negative thoughts once (if u go to my first post in this thread you will see that i'm not a fan) and simply try and adapt my game to deal with the change. Might as well enjoy it while it lasts instead of pushing for the fast shutdown and then everyone misses out.

And i can totally understand that. And while my approach is different, I do respect your right to chose as you feel is right for you:) Heck.. ill even defend your right to do just that :) hugs

Must remind you an update that never took place. New co-op members prohibited from contributing a reseacher or donating for - what i remember - a week. It was announced but withdrawn.

For me the outcome of this update has yet to come. Personally i learned a hard lesson about MMOs. I've invested too much time, too much effort, to be overthrown in a glimpse. Having a 'political correct' farm of -100% and earning every single one event decoration from the beggining of the events, left me wandering why bother?
I still haven't decided what to do next. Maybe turning over to a bad bad bad industrial farm, maybe let it be or logging in less and less ....

Here's a statistic for you that will sum up my thoughts of this topic

Number of updates GGS has cancelled due to angry players: 0

I've been playing for a little over a year and it hasn't happened once and I don't see it happening any time soon. My point is, while many are angry wouldn't it be more beneficial to just make a decision whether or not u will continue to play or leave the game? The same players writing the same thing over and over......and over and over again in a thread seems a bit pointless to me especially when it will more than likely have no effect on the final outcome.

Here, here gizmo. I too am getting sick of reading the same stuff. And it is the same stuff, forwards, backwards, sideways, and a*se about face. It has descended again into a kindergarten playground. It a shame because I notice that some legitimate questions and valid posts get totally lost in all the dribble and backbiting.

I note that some of those that threatened to quit the game are still here - go figure.

Sandra, you did not use the correct analogy. If you go to a ball game and they choose to play a game of hide and seek instead...that is a much closer comparison. The players that spent money on gold deco's have every right to be upset that they no longer have what they "paid" for.
    Guys, the thing is GGS is in control, this is their game their creation. All the free stuff you get doesn't cost them...they draw it and attach a for sale sign with a BIG HAPPIFACE. You are the one in control of your pocketbooks...not them! I heard that it's been said "if you don't know your history you are doomed to repeat it"....so, all actuallity something worked for them...like companies who keep going bankrupt...they make a bunch of money, go belly up, who made the profit...NOT YOU. Next step...they come out with a new game name and you all run to be the first one on the ride, to only complain that it didn't last long enough when it was over. So you get back on :-{

It's a game...not real life...have they not entertained you? Can you get your money back from the ball game you bought tickets for because your team didn't win?

Do you have a choice in heaven or hell ?

    Think about it...

First of all, i dont think that players who have 'superfarms' are the ones to blame for this upgrade. I know that ggs made it clear that these farms where not the way the game was seposed to be played, they surely installed a lot of upgrades that made this possible. Blue barns, watertower, workshop,2 extra lvls upgrade, fertile fields and the library.
The reason for this update is totaly not what the figures are telling us. Mega farms can still make a profit, on deco farms there is no use for more deco's.
Mayby just mayby its all about new players who go, looking at the data, much faster in the +costs then before.
Perhaps the old players should realise that, just like old cows, they dont produce enough milk anymore to keep the farmer happy.

Ever heard of a song with the words once bitten twice shy baby? With me when it comes to this game after this last makes no sense no matter how you play it happiness update and this being the first GGS game not the last two that I have never played, they sucked the crowd dry before they let them games die.If they come out with another I am running away as fast as my 5 ft. three frame and little short legs can carry me!I am with ladygrail all the way.The prime times are happening more than ever before because this games day is just about up.You can speak for your co-op if they are happy good for them in terms of mine they are anything but and they can put up any kind of prime time offer they want to for money to this company we will never give it up we are so done! There are boycotts going on and people are walking out before they are burned again although we are not with them as it is an individual decision with each of us to never give them what they think they deserve that we now know they are not worthy of. Our money and most importantly... Our trust and our loyalty to support their greed and selfishness ever again.

I agree if you have higher level deco's then it will be a bigger hit especially if you have greater production potential to start with, but then again you'll likely not need the temp build for the event

It also has to do with how you set up and arrange your farm. My main decos are mostly +74s and up. Except for the 4 plots of land, everything else I have in my main farm have been upgraded to the max. Right now I have 3 pig sties, and I did need to build temp facilities for the Asian event (4th level of difficulty, task 5, start pigsty EIGHTY times) or else I won't be able to finish it on time.

Everyone does indeed have an individual righ to make an individual choice.. thats the only right way to go, no matter the topic.

    When that is said though:)

I once was a leader of an alliance in a wargame. We were doing ok, but more and more of my members were getting bored with the game.. I cannot recall the exact reason, but thats not the point here anyway.

What I finally decided to do, to not lose a lot of wonderful ppl, was to simply move the entire alliance over into another game we all agreed on:)

Sure we were all newbies again, but i must say we had a lot of fun.. that was years ago, and i still have some of those members on skype.

Now I am NOT saying this to promote anyone leaving.. ppl here are not complaining about boredom.. just telling a story:)

Blimey yes, I just had a look and there are normally alot of coops seeking members but I can see far more than usual at the moment. I personally know 4 members that have stopped playing, in total I know about 80 players so that for me is a 5% loss of players. The farms of course are still there, you can't get them deleted at the moment even if you want to and maybe they will look again to see if the game has improved.

Or maybe.. as long as the farms remain.. ppl will think the player is just moderatly active, but still playing. after all.. i left for close to a year and my farm was still there.

People are leaving this game now.. too many dissapointments i guess.

And i have talked to quite a few ppl that stay because of friends and coops.. and not at all for the game. But usually ppl find other ways to stay in touch than keep playing a game thats gone out of date on them:)

since i got back its been primeday every day ( maybe bar one). And prime offers almost daily.. sometimes twice a day.. a gold barometer...bees for 990 gold a piece... tokens for a lot of gold..
Gold Gold Gold... yaaay.. Love this free to play game:) When was it last on here that a nongoldbuyer had a chance in top ranking?

Thank you Kat , for not just deleting it.

But i do belive it is on topic as the thread is about how feel about the new udate.. isnt observing how the players react to the update part of that?

Thats all it is.. an observation. I get that you job is to keep the forum civil, and on topic.. but the downsides of an update, and observing and meantioning those, are not off topic or uncivil. Deleting ( as has been done to a lot of ppls posts allready). Just makes the forum into a...propagandasite..and forces ppl with less positive observations to talk in other places online.. like FB.. Personally I do not have an FB account, so please do not think im threatening... I am observing.. and just saying what i see.

But it is definatly on topic ( the update, cause and effect, before and after release)

This is what is in official announcements now. Is this true? I am glad if GGs is really answering something to people here. Thank you for that.

the thread is about how players feel about the update, yes that is what is on-topic, but what you said is exactly this:
"People are leaving this game now.. too many dissapointments i guess."

1- that is not how players feel, that is only how you think they do, so its off-topic
2- even you yourself don't feel that way, cause you're still here. so how you talking about not even how you yourself feel and rather about how others feel in their place is on-topic?

    Kat. Kittie_by_otomosc.gif

3- if that statement is "on-topic", how me saying the opposite of it: "People are not leaving this game now.. too many are happy and looking forward to next updates related to this update" is "off-topic" (this I'm asking from Kat)
shouldn't all players talk for themselves than a bunch spreading negativity and miss thought only?

    Hi Kat

Not exactly sure which comments this is aimed at, but if it was about the discussion of people leaving then it is very much on topic, we are discussing the repercussions of the update. I am sorry I didn't make it clear when I referred to the 4 people leaving that I knew I should have said that they have left specifically due to the update, that way update included in discussion keeps it on topic.

    Hope this is now OK:-)

    (1) Mirahh, careful, your post might be considered "off topic" and gets deleted. Heh

    (2) I think that the official statement to be issued (that'll address topics that came up the last few weeks - happiness change included I presume) is because of the legitimate complaints posted on this thread. Had people not voiced out strongly about what they felt was wrong, this "injustice" might have just been swept under the rug and forgotten about. Just my two cents.

If GGS really wanted to encourage ppl to buy more gold, why not open up for purchase any or all of the new farms just sitting there around our main farm?? That would entice many ppl who r bored or are losing interest to have new and fresh goals and use their gold buying power, as well as lure more new players into the game. I for one would LOVE to see that update happen and i suspect many others would too. Come on GGS, wouldn't it work for u too??

I love this game and don't want to stop playing; however, i do get a little bored now and then....:)

Do you like the March 18 update- 41 likes and 230 don't likes, so I would say the majority of players don't like the update.
