To get your happiness up you may have to demolish a production unit or two , to release the workers to demolish a house and add more decorations.
Planning and strategising is key to a successful Big Farm
edit to add:
I like larino's idea of reviewing the decorations you already have. Upgrading your decorations as you grow and expand is important
There is spreadsheet of happiness (and dollars and gold) per square here to help you maximise your space
Next, "upgrade" your decos. At level 77 you have very little excuse for still using flowerbeds when you can build big trees and even better decorations. Go read Happiness per square, and why you should care.
Don't forget to take advantage of the limited-time decorations during events! For instance, every time the fairy tale event comes around, you should replace 5x4 decos with enchanted trees, or stone dragons during the Asian event (which may start in a day or two), and replace lakes with thickets during the camping event or Hawaiian beaches during that event. Also, I know it's fun to have crop circles, but their value is for players who can't build lakes yet; you should trade that one up too, at least until your happiness is good enough to allow you to display it.
Remember too that when they're lined up together, you can replace four 5x5 decos with five 5x4's, which is relevant because enchanted trees are actually more valuable than thickets. Put your tractors in the areas where you can't line up enough to make that conversion an option. The principle is the same with the 4x decos: 2 barbecue areas are better than 3 big trees, let alone flowerbeds; 4 enchanted trees are way better than 5 big trees.
Once you've done the best you can with your decorations in the space available, then you can work on consolidating your housing into a smaller space.
One more thing: How often do you harvest your apples? If you harvest them 5 or 6 times a day, you should consider replacing 1 or 2 of your cherries with apples for better profits. If you're playing less than that, though, then your cherries probably are a better investment.
