I did not get to choose my difficulty level on my ladyvader farm on the www server. I did on my rie22 farm. So yes something seems off.

No, it depends on your level. The higher the level, the harder the event.
  • edited 28.05.2014
Exactly. You can't switch until you've completed the top difficulty levels and placed the highest level decoration on your farm, then you have an option to switch. I think that is what it is anyway...right guys? I think I've read that on an earlier event.?(

Don't you have to unlock it in the deco tower? Im not 100% sure on that..

I guess I'm still not understanding the whole "choose your level" part of the events. I am having a difficult time even getting through step 4 on a lot of the events, so have not been able to complete an event at all. Yet I was automatically place on level 2 and just recently got bumped up to level 3. If I cannot even complete an event at level 2, why am I being bumped to a harder level? What is the +74 decoration that is referred to above? Thanks for any insight.

Level 3 has a +74 decoration as the reward for finishing it. The 1st three levels are assigned to a player automatically by the level they are on in the game - regardless if you finished the prior one or not when you attempted it. Once you hit level 3 - you have to finish it, build the decoration and unlock it in the decoration tower in order to choose your level (which means you can choose to go complete the lower level to win those decorations or if you have a week where you aren't going to be on the computer a lot or you can choose the harder farm specialist level #4) . . . since you have been moved to level 3, you will have this option only until you actually pass it on the Asian level. Each event is independent from the other events so you have to win the level 3 decoration for each even to unlock the ability to choose levels.

Hi I am not sure how to change the difficulty level of the events, such as U.F.O. I am stuck on level 3, but cannot ever complete events on this level, so would like to try level 2. I have heard you can change this level, could you please tell me how?!
    Thanks

No, you can't change from level anymore, when you are already playing the event. You have to choose the level before you start playing the event, right after you opened event: one can choose out of 4 levels.
But only if you have already played at least once level 3 (build the event-deco on yr farm and disclosed the event in yr deco-tower).

If you haven't completed level three yet, you cannot change levels. The option is only available for those that have completed level three. It's like beating a game and being given the chance to go back and beat previous levels or move on to the bonus levels.

According to Kat, you no longer have to place the decoration and unlock them in the deco tower. You just have to have completed the third level. I, too, was told that by someone and had to have it clarified. :)
So basically, do what you like with the decorations - use them or abuse them because you don't need to worry about them unlocking the Event for you next time around. :)

    What is the deco tower?

It is located in the drop down menu now. First there was a tower next to the farm, but it has been replaced by the garage. Make use of the drop down menu to open the tower:

I have the UFO and the ALOHA event deco on my farm, I finished these events. Today the camping event started but I could not change difficulty. I never have finished this one yet
    My question is

are only the events I finished (have the deco on my farm and unlocked in the tower) the ones I can change difficulties on or do I have a glitch

You have to complete the circuit on the 3rd difficulty. Assuming your difficulty level on the UFO event was the Big Farmer... once you get back to that one, you will discover you have a choice as to which difficulty level you compete in. Complete the Big Farmer difficulty in this weeks event, and next time Here's to Nature comes to town, you will be given the choice of difficulty.

You have to have the third level done on an event before you can choose your level on that event. Since you've never completed this one, you have to finish it on the third difficulty level first. Then you'll unlock the choosing function for that event as well.

Thank you Wildcard, that was what I was asking. At first I thought as long as I complete the event on the third level I could change all of the others. But it is per event Like I have UFO so next time I can choose the level on UFO

    I appreciate the quick answer

    Sure, no problem.

Honestly, I was shocked that I had to do the Hawaii Event on the third level, too. Although that's because I hadn't realized I'd never finished that one on the third level yet. I think I've done the rest though.

Hi all! I'm level 35 and was lucky enough to finish the recent camping event. So happy i got the medium waterfall!! :) However, if I even should care about the decoration collections, i need to know if I ever get a chance to collect the small waterfall, as that is a lower level reward. Anyone knows and happy to help?

    Happy farming!

Yes, Pia_gamer, there is a possibility to collect the lower level rewards as well.

As long as you have completed the last dificulty level before the Farm-Specialist level, unlocked the +74 deco in your deco-tower and build up this deco on 1 of your farms. Then: the next time this same event comes around, you get to choose out of all levels. You could try the most difficult one: Farm-Specialist level, but you are also allowed to choose one of the lower levels.
GGS created this possibility especially to satisfy players for exactly that same reason: to be able to get also the lower level rewards.

It is not directly connected to your level. You need to successfully complete the event and win the level 74 decoration at least once before you get a choice

You need to unlock each event in this way. Doing it for one event does not unlock the others

Have you won the 74 happiness deco for the fairy tale event yet? If not then you will not be able to choose difficulty until you have.

You have to succesfully finish an event first (level 3) to be able to choose. And this holds for each event separately. If you finish back to nature, than you can choose difficulty level for back to nature event and not for any other.
