Mrs. Hen looked up at me and pushed up her blue glasses, "I asked for a story, not a poem, Lilly."
I looked at her with disbelief, "What?! You said poem!!!"
"Ms. Lilly, all the same, I'm glad you took an assignment seriously, even if it was the wrong one." she said, smiling.
"Will it count? I don't want to spend another week trying to find out what to write for a story." I pleaded.
"Very well. It will count." she sighed.
"Okay, thanks. Lemme just get it out." I said quickly, diving into my backpack to get out a crumbled piece of paper and tossed it on her desk. She stared at the paper in awe.
"You didn't say it had to be neat." I said, smiling as I headed out the classroom door. As soon as did my phone buzzed. It was my best friend, Holly.

Um.....sure. I replied, feeling kinda nervous. I had only meant for her to find the video for just a joke.

I sighed as I walked to my locker and grabbed my stuff. I had remembered telling about mermaids and then joking about finding a video of how to turn into one. I shook my head. The video wouldn't work. I knew it wouldn't.
I grabbed my books, stuffed them into my backpack and then shut and locked my locker. Another day.
