;( Please send Steve again soon. I feel like I haven't seen him in forever and I need some more house upgrades... You guys wouldn't consider letting members pay to have a private house built for Steve so he can stay as a permanent resident, would you? How about with gold.... :whistling:

:D Anyhow, as always love the game so much, thanks a million GGS! You are awesome!

Already got my fence decked out! It looks so fancy! I do need the gate to match. Oh!! I just can't believe how RARE the devs offer us the architect event! Dislike! I am hopeful that whenever he does arrive, I'll be able to squeeze 2 level 5 house upgrades out of him. :DAlso hopeful, that there will be big issues with the event again, depriving a great many players of Steve. Then GGS can give us another scheduled Steve to make up for it!! :whistling:

Ha ha ha, just kidding, GGS!

So long as Australians aren't the ones who miss out on the first visit again, of course (and it's you who misses out on the first visit this time)! That's what you're saying aren't you? Hopefully you will be the one who is deprived if that happens again, then you might know how it feels. I enjoy a good joke; unfortunately that wasn't one of them.

How about instead wishing for ALL of us getting more than the paltry one single visit he gave us last time? That would be much more in keeping with the Christmas spirit?

Merry Christmas to all my readers!!

It depends on who is reading whether this is funny or not. And in the event such as this, and I was one of the ones missed I wouldn't go to pieces about it as it would not be the end of the world. However it WAS a joke, not to be taken seriously and I am hoping for no such thing. So maybe you need to lighten up a little. BTW, I am always wishing for more architect events but I imagine that is just as unrealistic.

    Happy New Year farmers!!!

    LOL! :p Verrrry funny,you... :D

Speaking of, has Steve made any appearances yet??!! The last time I personally remember, really was the scheduled one on Dec 8th. Three and a half weeks ago! I mean seriously, he's been around and I just missed him, right? GGS hasn't actually gone all this time with out offering the event at least once, have they...? That would be rather unacceptable me thinks...

Can we not have steve as a permanent resident dont see why that would be a problem get sick of waiting to be able to upgrade. The problem is if he does come and your already doing another upgrade you miss out and cant use him :(

Oh, Short, don't tell me you completely missed Steve's last set of visits? I missed all of his last set (on New Year's Eve in Oz time) except for the third one, which was New Year's Day morning here. Even that one, I only managed to log on about 15 minutes before he left for good, but that was enough!! I feel so sorry for you if you completely missed him! His first visit to us on NYE was late morning until late afternoon apparently... most of us were at work of course, so many missed him. His second visit was later that evening but being NYE, I missed that too, watching a movie with my beloved. Then, I had a call out for work at 1am NYD, meaning I slept in later on until 8.30am but just managed to get the tail end of his visit, upgrading 3 houses, 2 or 3 fields and all 4 apple orchards. Costly in gold but still worth it.

Uksharon, this is why they don't make him a permanent resident...
Official line: So that the big golders have a long term project to do, upgrading their farms.
My spin on the thing: So that GGS get heaps of gold out of the golders, big or little, due to the frustration caused by Steve's sporadic visits. I know of a major golder on our server who maxed EVERTHING on his farm within an hour of the FIRST EVER visit by Steve. If you wonder why this is good for GGS, then think Nuclear Proliferation and apply it to this scenario.

So...Undertaker, if I understood correctly, the architect event was offered three times, more or less one right after the other AND during a holiday in which it would be likely that many players would NOT be present?? W. T. F? And yes, Undertaker. Yes I did miss each of those "oh-so-spaced" out visits from Steve! An astonishing three weeks later it seems... I'm not sure if I have made this clear before, but I actually have no trouble believing that this event is a total "psyche out" used to freak out players, whether they be big golders or little, into massive gold spending, resulting in colossal gold purchasing. However, I can't see how this event being offered on the holiday could squeeze much gold use from even die hard players. I'm sure lots were spending their time with loved ones! You were, I was...seems like a very poor choice in timing...
I can't say that I am surprised or even very disappointed about this event. :| First, because I find joy in the fact that you, Undertaker managed to make excellent use of Steve albeit costly in such a short period of time (super awesome! BTW, you wouldn't happen to be in a generous mood now would you and want to send me a Christmas gift? Something involving small, round shiny golden pieces? :D j/k!) Secondly, as a rare purchaser of gold (I'm poor) I have long ago accepted that most of my buildings will never see past the last upgrade available to players alone. My annoyance only exists in the need for level 5 houses. And my very much desired gate. Other then that I see myself making no further use of Steve.
Hey, one tells oneself what they have too, to lessen the sting...There is still tons of great things about GGS. But I feel it's just best to accept that there is no company, of any such product. anywhere in the world who is going to keep it completely honest...I live in America, with a Government that seems very corrupted...
At the end of the day, I am just happy to have had a nice holiday with family and friends! Here's to a grand New Year to all!!

Yes, Short... That's the long and the short of it (pardon the pun). I too am poor, my income being way short (there's that word again) of the average in Australia, so I know what you mean about being a rare purchaser of gold. I've spent almost $200 on this game... far more than any other game I've ever bought outright and I don't even own this game!! All it means is that we both have to be very shrewd with our purchases and subsequent usage of our gold. Happy New Year to you too!!

i find it very difficult that Steve shows up in our neck of the woods only 2 a month ( that would not be so bad if he did not show up, then about 2 hrs later leave and then come back one hour after that ) not sure you quite understand how i explained this. but it comes out that when we ask and pay for an upgrade when he first shows up. the upgrade is not finished when he leaves, even when he comes back and leaves again for the second time. he should at least come back only when sufficient time for the upgrade to finish. so we can take advantage of his second visit.

something happened to my answer to this. it was not insulting in any way... i simply stated that Aphasia was probably right. why would someone want to delete that?
