I agree. Game was lagging  and as I was harvesting on my Gourmet farm I somehow spent 7000 gold to buy a plot of land which I dont't want, especially considering I have plenty of farm dollars I could have bought it with had I wanted. to

That is happening to me to misclicks from lag  and i just speeded up those chicken or cows  real ugh   it is a pitfall of the game and I have learned to live with it  but not liking it. I like Sissors idea of moving the gold button to 12:00 on the wheel   glad to see you here MRG1  Merry Christmas

We all know GGS will not do anything about it. You'll notice how certain buttons are in the exact same place, just lately i have tried to plant seed or feed animals but ive clicked on another building without knowing then click the button at "3 o'clock " and guess what its speed up the building. I know some will still blame the players but the bottom line is, If GGS did not mean us to do accidental clicks, they could move the button as Scizzors says to "12 o'clock"  but they will not. The position of certain buttons is deliberate, imagine on a gun the safety catch being the trigger, you go to put safety on and shoot someone. They will do NOTHING , look at the game.. a simple farming game YES, then look at how complex GGS make it.. for a game ! but for GGS its money

It happened again.

I accidentally spent over a THOUSAND gold I did not want to spend because I was clicking too quickly. Goodgame needs to add a CONFIRM button for spending gold. The CONFIRM button could be toggled on and off under settings for those who do not want to use it.

AGAIN…. it's SO EASY to slip up and click the wrong tiny spot on the map and WASTE GOLD!!!!!!!!!! 

GG THIS IS WHY I DO NOT PUT ONE PENNY INTO THIS GAME!!!!!! 

 For years now people have asked for something.   
Either a gold lock,   or a prompt "are you sure" first.   Some way to back out before goofing and blowing hard earned cash.
All of which could be turned on or off by the player.   The argument that people who WANT to spend not be bothered with extra steps.  So put it in the settings somewhere, on or off.  Simple. 

My mill is right in front of the silo.  Close enough so clicking the mill, I slipped, and hit the FINISH WITH GOLD on the stupid silo.   I'll never get that back.  No point in even trying support.   But GG you need to know THIS IS THE REASON you don't earn one red cent from me.    Far too easy for mistakes like this… NOT THE FIRS TIME EITHER.
I do spend on these silly games too.  Just spent on Galaxy which you don't even bother to support anymore.  
This game has a lot more going on but as long as it's SO EASY to lose money for nothing intentional, forget it.


GEES your events have an extra prompt at the end.  Close… then up comes are you sure?  YES CLOSE! 
It's not a prize if I have to buy it.  Just close.  Be gone.  
So why can't you do that before spending money?   Your losing more by NOT offering some way for us to protect our change than you gain from shaking pockets.   Actually all you just got was gold YOU GAVE ME since I don't put anything into this anymore.   I have…. early on.   Won't anymore.

A few weeks ago I lost about 7000 gold while harvesting on GF. Game was lagging and I somehow purchased a plot of land (which I don't even want) with gold. I stopped buying gold a few years ago because of a similar case when I inadvertantly paid gold for something I didn't want. Up til then I was buying gold often, but never again

Last time Omar was here I accidently bought farm $, which cost me 44k gold I think.  I have over $500M and earn on average $20M per day.  Why would I want to buy farm $$ using gold.  I was very annoyed.


But this is the exact reason we do not get a gold lock or confirmation, GGS wants us to make these errors.  So every time we complain, they go EXCELLANT, we got more gold spent than what our player wanted to,  BONUS FOR GGS.

i've only been playing about 3 months, found the game by accident, and i'm always happy to spend real$ for my entertainment  i would pay to go to a concert, the movies, so don't mind spending a few $ here........

but not by accident --- as the new year rolls in, i am re-thinking how/if i want to continue with BigFarm

GGS were able to take away the maximum buy button when purchasing items from the twins so why can't they add a button for "Are you sure" when accidently pressing the gold button for anything????  If they can do it one way then why can't they do it to our benefit?  Yeah, yeah, I know - gold, gold, gold.

I too was caught out using gold to purchase a block of land - in the wrong place I might add - just like MRG1.   The game lagged & presto the land was bought for gold.  I don't buy gold so it was a HUGE loss for me!!  Of course it will benefit GGS so it's all fine.  Not!!

 a long time ago was how that would effect the CC by taking away the advantage of using gold as one pleases, when one pleases.
They did how ever change the upgrade/demolish action to include a confirmation, a vast improvement over how it was before. Where one could upgrade and or demolish by a miss-click.

I agree, it has hindered my ability, as well, to use gold when and if I please.
 I've manage to reduce my miss-click by staggering my production items arranging shortest to tallest or spaced apart with decos.
May not be the answer to all the miss-clicks or timed pop up specials or the next hot deal announcement, but might help some.

All it would take to keep all happy, in setting, have an amount set by each player to how much gold it would take for a confirmation, this way players that don't want warning could set at don't warn and those who want warning  have set at 0, or if you did not want 0 or unlimited you cold set amount, ie don't warn unless over 100, 1000, 10000 ect.

We do keep an eye on this topic & pass on any new suggestions. The ways in which accidents occur are varied, so it is not just one issue & there have been some improvements over time, such as the delayed buy button on pop-up offers, the new system for upgrading buildings & most recently the removal of the "max buy" button on items with unlimited storage. But mis-clicks on the speed-up button, clearly still happen & you make a good point about the land buying option.

I passed on your recent feedback to a dev, who has said that he will bring the topic back to the table. Things that you can do to help are to keep posting when accidents occur, so that we can pass on examples to show how often it happens, report the incidents to support, even if they can not fix it, it helps to show that you have no way to undo the accident & continue to post your suggestions for possible solutions for us to pass on. If they have already rejected the idea of a confirm button, there is no point just asking for that again. There are times in the game when players want to be able to speedup multiple times quickly & that needs to be taken into account.

Thank you Wascally Wabbit.  I did not know that this was known and had been brought before the developers.  I agree with the posts that there must be a way to satisfy the majority players.  I would be willing to buy gold if I knew there was a way to work around so many "accidents".   No one hates to lose what they have and yet you would not want someone to just change their mind over buyer's remorse.

If anything, this thing definitelly is not an issue at all as it has several commonly known solutions both in games and other software.

• Some games/software just have a check in "settings" to toggle confirmation (or other) dialog on and off. Setting is usually permanent untill deliberately changed by user, unless you delete cookies.
  
• Another solution is a check box on confirmation window itself "do not show again" which can be valid either for the session or untill changed again, usually in "settings". In this case the dialog opens first time you do an action, and if you check the box it doesn't open again.If you don't check the box, the dialog opens every time. If you check it and setting is valid for curent session only, after reloading the game it defaults to confirmation dialog again.
  

Nice, easy, simple, is it? No need to rediscover America as it has all been around for a long time. And we can with great deal of confidence assume that any developer knows such solutions already so their lack of response must be driven by diffferent forces.

Okay, I have been playing this game for two years.  I have bought a lot of gold, and lost a lot of gold.  I am a co-founder of one of your larger coops and this gold issue has been around for a while.  And if you have no intention in returning our gold, which cost you nothing - really, it is an electronic game, then you need to have a way for people to lock their gold.  We have members who work their butts off to get gold.  I have e-mailed you several times on this issue, commented, and a year ago - had my own thread on this very topic.  If we are lying, what do you lose by returning it.  Nothing.

i for one really like this idea it would work very well for me i could like set it at 500 gold because i personal end up speeding a lot of things up at night so i can set everything up for the night so yes just have a confirmation button every time i used gold would be irritating same with if we only had a on off button because i would have to leave it on because i speed things up on a regular basis it would be to much work to keep turning it on and off  but as far as i can rember nothing costs more then 500 gold at one time to speed up so it would not stop me from doing what i do but it would prevent me from accidentally spending a lot on buying land or a pop up so i realize this would not help the people that are losing gold from accidental speeding ups but would help from the very expensive land and popups because right now i usually never buy more then 10 dollars worth of gold at a time because i do not want to accidental spend it on something i do not want

They already have confirmation in game.  Check out the organic market, if you have already contributed to one of the contracts and hit the trash can in error, you get the do you really want to do this pop up.  The programing is there, link it to the gold and make so many happy farmers.  Having one more click when you spend gold is not going to affect your health or even how you play the game. 

Move the gold to 12 o'clock another great idea.  Just that little bit of difficulty could save us so much grief.  It hurts no one.  Well .. kinda helps on the %@#& cursing we do when we see we have blown our hard earned gold on crap. 

I have used gold to "win" events or to hurry along crops when in a mission so this may take me an extra second to score.  Should I lose because of this, boo hoo me.  I should have planned better. 

Sadly, they make money when we spend gold.  We loose.

Also the colors of the Special Seed bags are just too close to the color of the regular seed back so that you don't always realize that the screen has defaulted on special seeds and plant them by accident - a suggestion to change the color to be more noticeable such as Bright Red
