joining a Co-op task

personally i think that getting the task to join a co-op should not come up on the task list until a player hits level 15 - 20. everyone thinks they just have to join one because they get that task, and you really aren't ready for one until your farm is bigger, you don't have enough fields or animals to contribute to a co-op or if you start your own,. So maybe that could be changed? i'm not being mean, i personally waited til i was level 20 and then i was invited by co-ops looking for members.

I agree kind of. Due to the fact that you get the join or create a cooperative we see a lot of new cooperatives. People make them and then don't like it, or don't want to run one themselves and would rather be a member of one. So maybe changing the "create" option to a higher level to minimise inactive cooperatives but i'd keep the join task at the same level. :)

I have always agreed that this task needs a higher level requirement for the very reasons state above. Level eight is far too early as a player is very new and still learning the ins and outs of just running their farm. It's very foolish to press players who are still familiarizing themselves with one game aspect into joining a co-op which is another environment entirely. And being that it comes so early on in the game, it generally won't cross their minds to put it off because in the beginning phase of the game it's so easy to believe at first that you need to complete each tasks as it becomes available. Once you advance in the game, that is usually when you learn "oh, I could have take my time". It doesn't seem like it should be a big deal to change the level that task is required as being that new makes it hard to get accepted anyway. It is one of those things that actually make me wonder what GGS was thinking. So, in conclusion I completely agree with your post!

true, i see so many people say i NEED to join a co-op!! Help! and it turns out they have one level 2 chicken coop, 1 barn, a field or 2, 1 pig and no cows and they think they have to join one, then get discouraged when no one signs them up, also as rishi4 said, which i didn't even consider, there are a ton of low level co-ops just out there, when i was accepted into my co-op my housemate kept saying he wanted to make his own co-op but as i looked over the amount of gold needed for getting members and the GGS financial support , i wondered why a really low level person would even attempt forming their own, co-ops are expensive...and then there is trying to get people to join who are active players...Oy vey, bythe way i really like the idea of the training co-ops, maybe the task should be to join one of those, at least then maybe people won't rush into making their own just to be in one.
