One Click Coop Tree Watering ☯️

Comments

  • The coop tree and daily watering are a big benefit to the entire coop.  When it was added it was great, the transfer from farm to farm was smooth and easy.  As the game as evolved and added new content this has added problems with the farm to farm watering.  There is more and more lag, browser crashing and freezing, and general frustration.  My idea is to change the way the trees are watered.  Rather than go to each farm how about going to a coop orchard where each players tree is planted.  We will still have to load the page but only once since they would all be together. Plus it would be fun to watch the orchard grow as each tree is added in those coops that are not already full.   We would still need to visit each tree in the orchard to water it and have to return to get those that were not ready for watering just like we do now.  I am hoping that by not having to reload each farm to access the tree it will solve many of the issues that happen now. Even if we had to click on say a well to refill the bucket between each tree to make it a process to get it done all with one page load.   I had posted this on old forum but it was after the cut off for transfer so this is a re post. I tried to expand on the thought and make it more clear of a mental picture. The comments before the change to new forum were all positive :)   Would love to get some mods or community manager input on this.
  • That's a great idea!  The larger the coop the longer it takes to get to each farm.  We have the my village view, this would be a great addition.

Yes !!! very good idee, iám  having problems  yust like you, have to get out of te game   20 times, can only give  3 trees water, en then i have  to waite  2 minutes  for getting to the next farm. This  was not before, know i hate  giving trees water, but i have to do it because  i am a replacer from  be happy, and i have to give a good acepmel
  • this is a very good idea
  • very good idea...
  • Really like this idea. Maybe the members tree could grow within the orchards; those having been in the co-op longest having the largest tree.

    Great idea!
  • great idea!!!
  • I like this idea :)
  • This is a very good idea! Also the idea about those who have been in the co-op longer having larger trees.
  • Hi :)
Ok I know this is an issue that has been brought up loads of times with no changes offered by GGS and this will probably fall on deaf ears again, But now we are being asked to watch advertising video's too ok we can get nice rewards for doing this, but seriously how much more time  are we going to be asked to do things that take us away from important things like our farms ;) I'm guessing GSS are getting paid to run this new video system and as watering trees doesn't really give GGS any revenue there is no incentive for them to work on any changes to how we have to water trees, I know I'm going to get some grief from players who are in smaller co-ops but when you get over 40 members this is no longer a fun thing to do, GGS say we can look at our fellow members farms honestly how many times a week do you think we need to look, on average this takes  about an hour a week also causing the game to go really slow and making me reload the page, an hour of my life I will never get back ;) restricting their time when they can spend serious amounts of gold.and an hour of valuable playing time for people who are only on a limited amount of time a day, unfortunately we also have to go to work, I just wish GGS stood for Give Gamers Something, Almost every other part of the game has a GOLD skip button if it helps GGS to make a little more money to improve and make the game more interesting or employ someone who can fix stuff at weekends instead of running with no support at all then consider implementing a gold skip button for watering trees, BUT only a small amount of gold not a stupid amount, in the grand scheme of things the rewards we get for watering trees is neither here nor there and I would be quite happy to inform my co-op members not to bother doing this anymore, if as a leader I'm loosing interest in wasting time doing this how can I expect my fellow co-op members to bother,GGS this is a minor issue compared to some that we have going on at the moment if your programmers arn't capable of making this happen maybe someone who plays the game can do the coding ;)  ok that was a joke but come on guys cut us some slack  for once :)
  • oooh I love this idea too and maybe add something that makes players trees grow slower if they don't water anyones ;) I have been trying to get this changed for so long but this is a great idea  :)
  • I liked it on the old forum and I still like it on this one! A great idea, keeps all the good reasons for the current process but gets rid of the constant FlashCrash and need to reload. What do you think Steffi?

I go to game settings, turn off animation and set quality to low when watering trees.  It does seen to help me anyway.  I also do not wait for their farm to load fully:  just click where the tree will be.  That saves a few more seconds, but may depend on your browser, computer etc.  I can also "pre-click" the next farm.

But I really like the suggestion above about a coop "orchard" and the above is only a stop-gap idea.

I do most of the same as you do and still have issues.  I have an decent computer, I have tried 3 browsers and they all end up lagging.  It shouldn't be a connection issue for me as  I have google fiber internet which is best offered in our area.  We have a coop member who is in Australia in particular who gave up because it crashes things for him.
  • I agree 100% with 60+ trees to water & lag, crashes, a million things to do on my own farm & all the other reasons mentioned, that is a horrendous chore to water all the trees every day. We also know that GGS wants us to visit each others farms, which was one of the original reasons for the tree, so how about this.....

Each day 1 members name is highlighted on the members list somehow (maybe with a watering can) all members must go to that person's farm & click a well, which would be somewhere down near the garage & then scroll across the farm, so you actually DO see that farm & water the tree. That waters ALL the coop trees for that day (& pays you for them all) & the next day it moves on to the next member.

This would mean for large coops who`s farms rarely change, that you would see each one once every couple of months & for smaller coops, which change a lot, you would see each one every few days.

This is a great idea, Monica! I can hardly wait to see this in the game. :)

I LOVE this idea.  It takes forever to water trees.

the coop tree watering can be a pain, i would like to see a coop orchard like in the village on click and all orchards are there
also i would like to see a seperate farm just for the trees as sugested by many players in my coop,or expandind all farms

waant to bring this up again, this here does not make me look at all my nabours farm, it is not interresting to water the tree, and its quit often close by being dropped, especially when the game is as slow as now.

I'm here to bump this thread again. The devs need to listen to the players, watering trees is boring and takes way too long! If we want to visit someone's farm, we know how to do that. I don't take time to look over each farm as I water trees. The screen goes to the tree, I click to water and move on to the next farm.

Please gives us a way to water trees much easier. There has been a lot added to the game and everything seems to run slower. Give us a break & make at least one thing easier. We can/will visit other farms but that has nothing to do with watering trees!

Bumping this again as they listened to players regarding the bubbles. Maybe this will be the new improvement project they can do to make playing and watering trees a bit easier.

Hey, this is a great idea. :) I'd certainly welcome any better way of watering trees then visiting each farm individually. Especially after the new, more powerfull game engine has helped us spend more time loading farms. :) Cause as it is, I rarely bother to water. That "village tree nursery" idea sounds particularly attractive, but one click solution would also work for me.

I agree that an easier way of watering the cooperative trees would help a great deal and encourage coop members to do it more often in order to get the collectibles we all need. This is the response from Latten on the first page of this thread..........

We talked about this a lot, but in the end we want users to visit their cooperative partners' farms. However, we have some ideas to make this process more healthy for your wrists ;)
So yeah, there is probably a change underway, but I don't have an official date yet.
It would be nice to know what progress has been made in this regard. :)

I'd love to bring good news, but there hasn't been a concrete planning for this particular issue yet :( As far as I'm aware it's still planned, but not just in the next few updates - I'll make sure to remind everyone of it though :)

Could we PLEASE get a 'water all trees' button? So many new things have been added to the game to keep us quite busy so a button to water all trees at once would really come in handy. :D
In my post Co-op Tree Research I asked if we could have a Research for an irrigation system for the co-op tree.

Level 1 would water, say, 10 trees all the way up to level 5 watering all 65 trees (or as many as can be at that time)

I can see it would fit in with Recruitments and Subsidies so would expect it to be a gold funded one :(. Nonetheless it is one research my co-op members would willingly pay for

    I didn't get much support :( though
Over a year ago @rhon (GB1) made this excellent suggestion, which I fully support. As a leader I visit my member's farm twice a week (I agree with Latten that we should visit each other's farms regularly), so no need for me to water any tree for that. But I also agree with @Pingo4 (US1) that when watering the trees, if we wouldn't need to move the screen to look at the farms, it would make things much easier!
I would welcome some kind of combination of these 2 propositions! :+1:

Can I please suggest a new research.  I am in a large co-op and can only manage to water so many trees before my game slows right down and I have to refresh, and I really don't want to spend my game play continually refreshing. Can we not have a research whereby we work towards a 'one click waters all' button.  Just a thought.
  • i can see where the whole idea of watering others trees can be a way of visiting others farms getting to see what they have or may need and setting their builds and such, but on the other side i can see where doing such a thing 40 or more times can get tiresome. difficult to compromise between the two extremes. many may water trees without even looking at farms, while others may help as much as possible all members. maybe put the click all option trees needing watering, and a visit to those who are not on farm as often and made need to be visited more often with a notice that they have been visited, by x player while they were absent from the farm so player knows that their farm is being looked at, and that the player should be on more often and active. those who water regularly may not need extra watching, but those not watering and active on farm in fields and animals etc may. just an idea to ponder, or suggest another.
