As you can see Latten, very few people look at the other farms when watering. I visit other coop member's farms out of my own interest and curiosity. I don't need to be coerced by performing a function which benefits the coop as a whole.
I like Samty's idea about doing research to be able to water more trees at once. I also like Aphasia's idea about watering trees from the village. If we could water trees from the village we would have a reason to interact with the village more and wouldn't have to wait for each farm to load. I rarely visit my village anymore. The only time I go there is if I can't find someone in the rankings, I can go there to search/find them if their farm still exists. IMO that's the only useful thing about the village. The village square is cute when an event is active but everything else we can access from our farms and/or co-op. I remember when the world map was removed from the game because there was no need for it & I don't want the same thing to happen to the village. I, myself would like to interact with my village more and I think being able to water the co-op trees from there would be a great way to do so.
I think that would be a great option to consider, watering from the village... I used to go there to check rep points of players when co-op challenge was started, to see who was actively playing. But that is the only reason I ever went. Now that is already tracked in the challenge! So no need for that even now.
Only one screen to load & I just checked, it doesn`t break the next harvest timers when you go there!
hope the CMs update this feature
hmph!
serves them right!
but as our CM mentioned,we would like to have some better way that could make the watering process a bit more flexible and convenient and enjoyable:) especially coops with a lot of members
We should still be able to get all the money, just faster.
However, I start visiting farms, because I am nosey, and end up watering trees instead of viewing farms. I would enjoy a one-click option, or automatic water whenever visiting a farm. If trees were automatically watered after visiting, that would be quite a few less clicks when I have to go out of my way to water. But that's because I spend a lot of time travelling to my mates farms to answer questions, or when participating in chat, to see what they are talking about.
Another thing that would probably be fun is to have the trees flood because there were so many visits. You get a bonus when the tree is flooded more than once a day. This would probably encouraging more participation in chat, as people advertise/discuss something about their farms. There are some farms I go out of my way to visit because they are pleasing to look at, in my co-op and other co-ops.
I'd also like a "Loved viewing your farm" button when visiting outside of our own co-ops. During missions, especially, I can't take the time away to send a message, so I don't always get around to telling people I like their farms. But it would be nice if the inbox wasn't flooded, just a button showing green and the number of visits people liked the view. A drop down could show a list of the names of those that pressed the like button. The list should reset as often as the co-op trees so the likes don't become too much clutter.
I have to admit that that I now need to go figure out how to get to the village. It has been so many months, I can't remember. What exactly is the point of the village anyhow? It would definitely make it better to water trees with one click.
anyway, i'm in favor of a gold-funded research to make it easier. secondly i support the idea of watering coop trees from the village screen.
and yes, no one "looks at other players farms" while watering trees. so GGS has stated a pointless reason. it is nothing more than a failed attempt to reanimate a feature of the fb games which allow players to harvest 5 things on their neighbors' account. although those fb games are BS compared to my fav Big Farm yet they are better at this particular feature i.e visiting the neighbors.
-adding special fertilizer to one of their fields
-training their dog a special trick
-feeding the chickens special grubs
things like that......any thoughts ?
A Tree Watering sticker/achievement... and once you reach level ten on that sticker... you can water all trees with one click. You'll have paid your dues, and then some!
-Y
superb idea! it'll give achievement points, and the players who work hard (hard?) to water coop trees of their fellow coop members can also show it in their achievement books.
i bet many higher coops 'll make it a "requirement" to have at least achieved a particular level of that achievement.
My wrist hurts and our coop is just over 40 people. I can't imagine how it would feel clicking on 65 trees (but it's really more than that with clicking on everyone's names too).
The Mods merged your thread with an already existing thread on the same topic.
I agree with Jess, you can see your post at #42
You don't get to do it.
GGS probably want you to visit the user's farm.
The bottom line is that it would be easier if there was a "play game for me" button. So that a bot could play the game and maximise the profit and we could go and do something else with our time.
I like it difficult and time consuming and challenging and irritating and etc.
