Check the subject line again: this update is scheduled for tomorrow, not today.
One thing though, can be farm signs moved to other location? The lower sides of the farm's diamond shape have a lot of free space. The signs don't fit into the screen anymore, and I need to drag the farm each time I want to switch. With my RSI the number of clicks and drags are important.
Actually on my laptop screen they are not visible at all and I now have to scroll the screen to access them - before they were easily visible if I closed the Next Harvest tab.
But the next harvest button always scrolls to the production building, so I'm always having to drag the farm to the centre of the screen again - the signposts automatically centre the farm.
So now I have to either drag the farm to see the signposts, or drag the farm to centralise it again. It was much easier before, and I don't like it. Which is why I asked if there was any specific reason, or any logic, for moving them.
And the signposts were included in the game, so I have got used to using them. They take one click less than the drop down menu, one click less than visiting the village, and they don't scroll half the farm off the screen like the next harvest buttons. So they used to be useful until they moved them, which now means just as many clicks as all the other methods, so yes, they should just have done away with them.
In my opinion those things can be removed from the game.
Sorry, but it's quite a big issue for me. It doubles the strain on my wrist. Harvest button centers the screen so you have to drag it again to be able to see whole farm and collect other harvests.
- New crop/production ready sound. Very welcome feature and practical.
- Destruction of some items now possible
Things that I don't like :
- Smoke on worker's house... We are not in winter and this is not an industrial setting. I don't get it.
- Annoying question mark popup sound on walking around workers. Very annoying.
- Dog now barks and howls every freakin' 3 or 4 minutes. Totally annoying. I now HATE that mutt.
- New sign post location. I have a 24" screen and even in full screen mode, fully zoomed in, I cannot see them. Bad idea.
All in all, an update that actually does more harm than good in my opinion. Some people might like some new sounds and features, but it would be nice if we were given the chance to opt out of most of them without muting the whole game. Something like a choice of sound file like "classic mode" or "updated" in settings. That way, ppl like me who dislike the new added sounds could opt out and the ones that like them could have them. Win - Win.
One thing that I used to like in BF is that it was a cozy lil' game. Now, it's a NOISY game and I've been playing the new version for only 30 minutes... I can only imagine how annoyed I'll be 2 or 3 hours down the road. The game now sounds more like a pinball than a farm simulation.
I hope you guys rethink this and give us back (to those that want it via settings) the peaceful environment we loved.
Regards,
IO
Namely, usually I have all the farm sounds off. That is something I do standard - mute all games I play. Anyway, now especially for the update I put it on. All I hear is blub sounds when I harvest something or when the workers bags pop up, a rooster calling every freakin' minute, sometimes a cow and a very annoying noise like the wind is blowing through a forest. Dog barking/howling? Haven't heard it once during the last 15 minutes my sound was on. Yes, when I trained my dog. But not automatically. Smoke or workers houses has always been - maybe a bit bigger and clearer now, but they always smoked so not really something new ^^ I cannot judge about the sign posts. Never used them, never will. I always drag my farm around so yeah, cannot agree or disagree there
I do agree with the optional sounds even though I will just mute the game altogether. Besides, that music song makes me so dull XD Mute time! I still wonder if my farm is maybe missing some sounds.......
Oh well, I hope indeed you rethink this thing.
The signposts are more annoying than the music and sounds at this point.
Smoke: Well, my dear, I never noticed it before this update so it must have been, like you mentioned, very discrete. Now, it is not and like I said.... Industrial looking. I don't know. For me, it simply doesn't make sense to have smoke in summer while the cherries and apples are in bloom and wheat is growing in the fields.
Dog: Weird. I swear to you, that dog is howling and it wasn't before. It's a random event though. It is one of the tricks you trained him/her to do. It used to be silent, but it's not anymore.
Signs: I don't use them either... ever, but some other folks do and therefor, I think it's a bad idea to have place them way up there, where most of us don't even see them. Personally, I don't give a rat's butt... but for the sake of others that use it, I thought of mentioning it.
Muting all sounds: Hum.... You sound (pun intended) like one of my friends. He always plays with the sound muted. I like the sounds as long as they are not annoying. Like the wind blowing in the forest is basically pink noise and really bothering me, so I keep it on low volume so I don't hear it, but still can hear other sounds.
New crop/production ready sound: Try again... it is there, trust me.
Cheers and have a good one my friend!

Cheers~
Move them back please. Or better yet in the lower right corner.
The sounds :- I really like the *ready* idea....very useful. The rest I want to turn off, except I like the background sound we used to have ( without the dog & the rooster)
Would it be possible to have a Sound Control Panel where we could turn off the sound effects we don't want? Now that can't be too hard to program can it?
