Some Serious Criticism

I saw ggs say that this is a game for all people and religions around the world but then why they had Halloween event here? we don't celebrate it? why don't they have the slaughterhouse then?
why don't they have Eid here if they can have Halloween ?
I am against this
the reason ggs made a Halloween event is bcz they celebrate it themselves
if their is Halloween I want Eid as well

The Halloween event was optional and limited to the forums not to the game itself to minimize offending other religions. Also, alot of people here celebrate Halloween so they so no harm in turning it into a fun little game just so that everyone had a great day.

what is eid? i saw no religion here.just pumpkins ant transparent workers. if ggs implemented the religious side of halloween instead of the widespread traditional halloween that is known to most,i doubt they would keep their family friendly theme.i personally have my fingers crossed for some snowmen and raindeer come december.

While I liked the halloweening, I can appreciate why people might not because it used to have a religious slant. Halloween was originally a pagan festival, but is not limited to that. I know some Christians who find it offensive, not to mention people from other religions. The stuff about ghosts and the dead is fundamental to how halloween works, so if that is what the religions find offensive about halloween, then it would stand to reason that people of those religions would find the event offensive.

That said, Just has a topic for solving this problem if you want to complain about ghosts.

jaystarr I don't find it offensive. my point is if ppl can have Halloween then we should have festivals from all religions

Malik, whilst a "slaughterhouse" would be out of the question for obvious reasons, are there any "fun" traditions associated with your "eid" festival that could be incorporated into the game, like there are with hallowe'en? If so, then perhaps instead of being upset about the game not celebrating it, you might suggest ways in which it could be celebrated instead? Just a thought ...

That's a rather sweeping statement - just because I don't know about something doesn't make me incapable of understanding it, given a reasonable explanation! :D

Never mind, Malik - this world is full of different people and religions - and we all have to rub along together as best we can. I'm not insulting your intelligence because you don't understand Hallowe'en, and I don't wish to have mine insulted for not understanding Eid.

I don't want to get into a battle of words about it - I was just wondering if there was a way that it could be celebrated in the game if you wanted to suggest it to GGS for them to consider, that's all.

I hope you enjoy your festival :)

This game doesnt do religon,In the world there are some events that are common,Christmas, new year, easter and halloween.
If you want to have events that only your country does,The game could have events every week.
Example-Here in uk we have bonfire and fireworks for Guy Fawkes on the 5th november,And we have St Andrew,St George,St David St Patrick days for the uk and ireland.
Usa has independence day and thanks giving day,And more counties have there own special days.
GGS cant do events for everybody.Doesnt matter which country or religion you are,Because it would turn the game into a circus everybody wanting there own events.
The game is based in Germany and GGS is making events that are mostly worldwide.GGs can please most players most the time but, cant please all players all the time.Hope that makes some sence.

I think, rather than being a game "for every religion", it aims to be a non-religious game. Don't let it get you down Malik, it is just a game :)

    Hey guys :)

Bilal, I totally see your point here. We usually go for non-religious variants of popular holidays, for example the "commercialized" Halloween, and usually only use worldwide holidays like new year's eve or maybe christmas, only because those festivities are the most celebrated for the majority of users. I can see how this might offend other religions or even non-religious people, though, and the Forums are totally the right place to talk this over.

So, while - for the game itself - probably not much will change in the near future regarding this (and I of course will take this to the devs, so they will be aware of it), we can of course try it in our awesome forum community :)

Now, and this goes to all areas of the world participating in the EN forums, feel free to post here and describe some of your favourite holidays! If they're not too "edgy" in a religious way and don't offend other people's beliefs and idealism in a hurtful way, we can absolutely do even more partying in here! :D

We're all a big community, and it shouldn't matter if we're celebrating Christmas, Hanuka or Eid Al-Fitr, as long as we're all having fun!

So, please post a few of your favorite holidays along with a short description for everyone and some dates, and I'll see if I can get a Forum party calendar going :D

Wouldn't discussion be more appropriate in a different thread? Just sayin'. This one is kind of a debating hostile thread.
