Update 22.10. - Woof, woof! + Birthday Party!

Hello everyone!

We kept you waiting for a bit, but now it's time: A fluffy friend has arrived on your farm!


- New feature: The pet

A brand new special building is available to you: The doghouse! As soon as the doghouse is built, your new pet, the dog, will roam your farm. Of course there will be a quest series to show you how to best take care of your buddy :)
Your pet will bring a lot of new animations to your farm, will greet you with every login and will show you his best tricks from time to time.

  • The doghouse will be available in the shop category "Special buildings"
  • The dog will only be available on the main farm, and there can only be one doghouse per farm
  • The dog can be named by you. Your chosen name is visible for other players, too, if they visit your farm. The first naming choice is of course free of charge, the next ones will come with a gold cost though.
  • Additional colors for the dog will also be available for gold. The standard color "golden" will be available for free. A change between colors you already bought will be free of charge.
  • You will have to feed your dog to make him happy for a specific amount of time. This also is free of charge.
  • If the dog is happy, the doghouse will produce happiness for your farm. If he's sad, there won't be any happyness generation.
  • If you upgrade your doghouse, your dog will learn new tricks, and the happiness value of the building will go up.
  • The last two upgrades of the house are premium levels, the first five levels are available with Dollars. Of course, the initial buy of the doghouse also will be Dollars.
  • All tricks will give XP once a day, if you execute them. Some even will help in additional ways, for example might your dog learn to search and collect hidden "treasure". The daily practice XP will raise depending on the level of your doghouse.
  • If you visit a farm with a dog on it, that dog will also show you what he learned.
  • All tricks have a unique animation, so you will see a lot of new stuff - ranging from tail-catching to toy interaction.
  • As soon as the doghouse is built, the age of the dog will be calculated and you can always see how long your new friend already lives on your farm.
  • A new status window will give you information about the looks, name, tricks and age of your dog
  • In this status window you will also be able to train all your previously learned tricks
  • If the doghouse is demolished, you will lose all progression of your dog and will start from scratch when building a new one. All colors you bought will be saved, of course.

Please keep in mind: We go all out to include all planned animations in time for the update. Because the dog uses more animations than everything else in Big Farm before, it may be that we won't be able to get everything in right on time. Since we don't want to let you wait even more, we would update anyway in that case. So if some animations are still missing when it's update time, we'll let you know :)


Big Farm's first birthday
Tessa of course noticed that Big Farm's first anniversary is just around the corner. She has been very busy in the last couple of weeks, though, and doubts she will be able to finish the float she started preparing especially for this occasion.
  • Help Tessa finishing the float for Big Farm's big day by collecting necessary material around your farm.
  • To thank you for all your efforts and loyalty, Tessa had something built right next to your farm to surprise you. On top of that, she promised to reward you with another little something to complete her surprise if you manage to get all materials she needs in time. Sounds mysterious, doesn't it? Tessa doesn't want to spoil all the fun before she finished her big birthday surprise, so for now, she won't let us tell you more about it. ;)


Pricing changes on special buildings
Prices to purchase some of the special buildings have been adjusted.
This should enable some more players to buy the first stages of these buildings, but also causes the prices for latter stages to go a bit up in return. The total price for every of these buildings should stay around the same as it was before. Here's the list of all price changes:

Preparation for upcoming updates
  • Halloween will come pretty soon and there will be another small surprise in the game. This update will implement some data to enable us to start some haunting on Oct. 31st.
  • The developers are currently working on some new themed events. Some functionalities for these will be prepared with this update as well.



-Bugfixes & other changes
  • The "Show me!" button from Master Builder Steve should work properly now
  • When erecting your fence, the display is shown at the wrong position. Fixed.
  • While the village map shouldn't be available for users without cooperative, there still was a way. This is no longer possible.
  • The mine and the cooperative tree are no longer affected by Trick Or Treat gifts.
  • After Mathilda almost left the farm after seeing a mysterious shadow next to the farm signs when rotating or moving stuff, the spook was sent off the farm.
  • The Cooperative search on the village map now works as usual
  • An error causing a finished building to appear with construction tape around it is fixed as well.

    Hey everyone,

    We know you're all very eager to welcome your newest farm family member with the upcoming update. Sadly, we have to announce that this update has been moved to next week. After weeks of work and bugfixing, there's still a substantial amount of little and annoying bugs in our current version, and we decided that this awaited feature has to be delivered with as few flaws as possible. We are very sorry, but we're sure this is in your best interest, too.
    So, the dog will arrive at your farm at the 22nd of October, together with the Big Farm Birthday update, meaning you will have a lot of stuff to play with :)
