well almost! November is the big 1 year for Big Farm although I don't need to tell you that. I hope GoodGame is planning to throw a big bash in Big Farm's honor! I am picturing an event in the style of Camping with Tess and the following Fairy tale and Asian events. Now, these events have consisted of six tasks but so far I've only come up with three that I felt were worth mentioning. One is collecting bags of flour for the cake. Another is collecting presents and third is searching for candles because it isn't a birthday cake without candles. It would't hurt to add cake making to the restaurant either but that's another one of those adding a feature to the game's already planned design. I'm not sure how easy it is do that. Remember online game technology illiterate here. :D Anyway, you most likely got something special planned but on the off chance you don't, maybe these ideas will spark your interest. As always, thanks for the great game. It fun and it brings people together and that is a winning combination for me! I am bummed that you had to raise some of your prices although I am pleased with some of the smaller bundles added. Thanks again!

P.S. Do the game producers really read? ?(

the forum moderaters read the treads and send them into the developers if they like the idea but be warned, getting them to see things your way is easier said than done.all you can do is pitch your idea with as much detail and salesmanship as humanly possible and try to keep your thread on the front page until you hear a response.

You also ofcourse need wheat and eggs to make a cake, so you need to make those, or donate them. And maybe some cherries on top, or apples for in the pie. And milk ofcourse, to make the whipped cream from :)

I think it's an awesome idea short! And yeah, moderators read it and tell people to look at it. Then it goes to the devs via Malreyn.

Thanks dragonpride! I was genuinely curious as how that came about. Thanks for the warning. I imagine ideas don't get passed along to easily so I make sure to suggest without high expectations. A player can dream though, right? ^^

And, Gwendolen! I think the ideas you came up with to fill in my blanks were equally as awesome! I knew I could count on a fellow player to help brainstorm other tasks that would fit in with a birthday theme. Thank you! I really try to retain modesty but I can't help but feel that this is such a fabulous idea for a celebration. I do hope they will agree!

I love brainstorming about good idea's with likeminded people :)

I've been thinking about it some more. Since we're gonna collect wheat and eggs for the cake, we don't have to collect bags of flour anymore. Yesterday I thought of something else to find, but now I thought of yet anóther thing, so then we'd have too much. But on the other hand, this would be a birthday celebration event! Who says we can't include more then 6 tasks :P And the better we work this out, the more chance we have that it will be looked at and considered :)
We also should get a good combination of things to harvest and things to donate.

    So, so far we have
    - collect eggs and wheat (for the cake)
    - collect cherries and/or apples (for the cake too)
    - collect milk (for whipped cream)

    - find candles for on the cake
    - find presents

Then I also thought of finding garlands to decorate and find fireworks for the end of the celebration. I also thought of getting strawberry seeds from one of the tasks, plant those in the fields and have to donate some of it. Those could perhaps go with the apple/cherry task, to make different kinds of cakes.

What I find harder is to think of nice special decorations. The limited edition ones, and the price. They have to fit (remotely) to the farm theme, but also to the celebration idea. But you probably don't want all garlands all the time. Hmmm... maybe a nice garland with flowers or so, to hang on the fence. That would be an interesting special decoration :) I also see a mental pic of a small bbq area, a little round metal bbq.

Okay, Gwendolen! I made out a rough breakdown for a birthday event by combining our ideas and trying to make a story behind it. It still needs a lot work and I know I can count on you to help make changes and fill in gaps. Now since I'm online game technology illiterate, some of the ideas I have may not work depending on how easy or difficult it is to add features. I wanted to add milk like you suggested but it's not really used in whipped cream or frosting (from what I could tell by reading recipes) so maybe to drink? Anyway take a look and see what you think. I know your come up with more stuff to refine our Birthday bash idea. I had thought an eight task event would be neat but not sure about two more tasks so it could just be six. I came up with two possible special edition decos but the others have four so we need to brainstorm two more. And I haven't a clear plan for the grand prize but I feel it should have something to do with the Big Farm apple logo like a statue or something of the likes. I have no clue as to quanity requirements and prices so I'm totally useless for that part of the planning. Anyone else who would like to put in their own feedback, please do. Hopefully the devs will see something here they like! Here goes!

~Runs for six or eight days

    ~Introduce strawberry seeds

    ~Limited decos:
    1) flower garland to be used on the gate (if that's possible to implement)
    2) scarecrow with shirt that says Happy 1st Year
    3)
    4)

Uncle George's birthday is nearly here which calls for a celebration! But wait! There is another special event to celebrate! It was on the day of his birthday, a year ago
that Uncle George left his run down farm to you. Now, this farm that had once been in pretty bad shape was hugely successful thanks to your sharp business skills. The best
way to honor such important occasions is to throw an enormous Birthday bash for everyone to enjoy!

    TASK 1: Find scattered invitations
As you were taking a big stack of invitations to the mail box, you tripped over a piglet causing them to sail out of your hands. It didn't help that the day had been incredibly
    windy.

TASK 2: Collect cherries (and strawberries?)
The cherries from your orchards are so plump, juicy and perfectly ripe. What a scrumptious cherry filling they will make for the cake! (Sliced strawberries will make beautiful decorations.)

TASK 3: Make eggs, wheat available It's time to get the cake ingredients together and put them into Matilda MacMuffin's very capable hands. It's sure to be a fantastic creation!

    TASK 4: Collect wood
The cake is ready for baking but there is not enough wood to keep the fire blazing in the brick oven. Apple wood is a good choice and should be readily available.

    TASK 5: ???

    TASK 6: Hunt for presents
All your friends brought presents for Uncle George and you....and have hidden them all around you farm! It's a birthday scavenger hunt! How fun!
**This task could have a feature similar to the co-op tree, where team mates visit each others farm and click on a birthday icon to recover a present.

    TASK 7: ???

TASK 8: Check with Jim about candles
Naughty twin Jack has pranked you by swiping the birthday cake candles and has hidden them in your decorations! After admonishing his brother, Jim offered to find them for you.
**With this task Jim would be standing above your farm like he does when selling his gifts and you click on him to see if he has recovered any candles. Candles being found would be random.

~Main Prize: Something to do with the Big Farm Logo

the only thing i see that the mods wont go for is the collection of butter in task 3.not everyone has the food farm yet and they wouldnt be able to complete the event.other than that its a very good and well thought out idea.

    Could also include, somewhere,

being given special seeds (cocoa beans) as a reward for one stage (like the rice) that are then used to make a chocolate party cakes for eveybody, also needing eggs and wheat

Collect flowers and/or blossomsto decorate the square for the celebration

Find birthday cards that people have left around the farm

    Birthday themed decorations, maybe?

    Chinese lantern/street light 4 x 4 = 20 happiness

    Tree with coloured lights/bunting in it 4 x 5 = 33 happiness

Horse sculpture (because so many people want horses) 4 x 5 gold deco - 60

    Flag - 3 x 3 gold deco

    Picnic table with festive bunting - 4 x 5
    just a few suggestions

That's exactly what I was thinking on the butter too, dragonpride! So I figured I'd put the question mark on it. Thanks for reading!

I personally like the idea of it being more like the Easter Egg Hunt or even the Bees rather than a series of linked tasks

Maybe looking for party balloons? And I'm old enough to remember when you didn't get a goody bag to take home after a party but got a piece of cake wrapped up in a napkin and maybe a balloon was unpinned from the wall. So the prize for collecting the party balloons? A 1x1 decoration such as a helium balloon on a string.

Oh and I've made sure Malreyn knows about this thread

Alright October 30th! I was close. You could have just said when it was really released. Honestly!

NO NO NOT AT ALL. im sorry.i was hollering at cm maleryn.he and i have done battle before.awhile back me and some other people had to practically wage war on him because he wouldnt hear anybody out about the possibility of horses being added to the game(he finally caved in and supposedly sent the idea in)he wasnt for horses but when someone made the suggestion of adding a scarecrow to the game he sent it in without a 2nd thought.i was reading the beach event suggestion and it was well thought out and maleryn didnt go for it so when i saw he posted here as well i figured this great idea got shot down too only to find he sent it in.so no im not yelling at you or dogging your idea i just have a real problem with how maleryn seems to only send in stuff he likes and was calling him on it because thats not how you should treat peoples ideas.i think the CM should be someone willing to listen to everybody and take the time to give them advice on how to improve there ideas instead of just shooting them down and always be open to new things and take the time to explain in plain detail why an idea would not fit into the game.just to be clear my beef is not with you friend :)

8| I am so embarrassed! My most sincere apologies! I'll be deleting that post! BTW, glad you like my idea! :D Happy....ummmm...war waging? LOL! And realistically, if a Fairy Tale event could be made and ran in this FARM game, then anything should go! I haven't figured out the connection between Fairy Tale and farming yet. I am in certain agreement with your posts!

NZ angel, if you're after gold, check out the Forum Event that's running at the moment Tessa on Holiday and for the premium decorations, you'll get some of those free by uncovering some land blocks and by collecting Achievement Points.

Now back to being on topic for this thread. :)

    mister8,

Just because i criticise your idea (yes, i know you are a multiaccount) doesn't give you a reason the then attack me and call me a hypocrit. Please go read my comment again. I didn't say it had nothing to do with farming, i said there was no reason to have crabs on a farm, but if you think differently then please do explain why. There is nothing wrong with throwing a birthday party on a farm. A beach party with crabs and swimming at a coral reef however makes no sense at all.

    Short,

Fairy tale i think i read that its a festival in town where all characters dress up as the characters in the book and there is no real fairies. Also real fairy helps in farms. there are lots of folklore regarding that in Russian, Chinese, Indonesian and of course India (some English Translations of the stories i have read)

    Malik,

    For the origami cranes.

I think i read that Daniel has lost them which he made for his sick friend and its thrown all over the field. So he wants us to help him get that back.

Its in the farm because thats where he has lost it

with al respect but if fairy tails or a wheel of fortune can come to the farm then a farmer can also have a beach party to relax

Farms are more in the country side or river side... they are not mostly near the sea. People in grass land use farming to produce food for their living. And those who near the sea goes for fishing. Large food producing plants wont grow well near the sea due to the salinity of the water available for irrigation.

And farmers wont collect crabs, crabs mostly kill the plants they are pest. So the farmers will always try to kill in on seeing.

The wheel of fortune or fairy tale (its not fairy its only a tale) can take place in any area where there are people gathering.
