Slow down with the events a bit

husthust Posts: 99
Each week an event or charity is really slowing down co-op activity as members want to finish the event tasks rather then participaiting in co-op projects and researches....events or charities should not be this frequent...atleast we need couple quiet weeks every month where nothing happens...at individual level its also a bit of pressure too

I respectfully disagree. Events are part of the game, if you don't like them you don't have to participate.

I agree with SirGeorge, as a co-op we do our projects and researches as best we can to work with the events.

Well I can't ask my members not to do so....and co-op is not only about one person....we are the no 1 co-op, and have put lot of real money into it...and to keep our position intact we need to do co-op projects constantly....a week break between each event is fine enough....its not about me but my non-gold players....I will get my prize before sunset as I will skip everything with gold...so will other gold members in our co-op....but its about the non-gold players, so no way it affects me....its the non-gold players of the co-op....kind of rude and immoral to ask them not doing event task and help with the project...we played this game without events before....we have done 3 projects yesterday and earned over 200 SP points...it is that fast for us...it may result in only taking gold players in the future....but we love our non gold players....they bring more energy....and work twice hard then a gold player

Its just a suggestion, doesn't mean GGS will do it and others may not agree.....but I'm curious to know whether any other top co-ops are having the same problems.

Events are optional, not mandatory. When in a coop you have to find the balance between what you need and what you want. And yes, if you all want your coop to stay #1 then you all have to make some sacrifices, which might mean not participating in an event if you need to do projects to stay on top.

i say keep em coming.my co-op finishes most of our projects with 24hrs or more to spare.research negotiation skill and that will add more time to your projects.

I also say keep them coming, after all I get a 74+ deco...but a week or even 3-4 days break between will do good.....all negotiation and optimization research has been done...no scope for adding more time

I agree with hust.. but not for coop purposes...

The events run for 6 days a week and then other start... and nearly half of them are collect in the vents.. so you need to really work hard... (I am speaking for low level players. Higher level player can finish the firewood in less than 6hrs or even 3hrs if they have their orchard ready to harvest soon after the event start)

We spent time on these tasks.. then one day we take a break and thought of doing some normal activities...

Then **boom** other events comes up... I will be trying to do the event again..

Just two or three days in between will be nice... Else these events will lose their charm in the upcoming weeks...

Well Erica.....you may say you get the most number of applications....but that means you also have to short out a large number of applications each day......the co-ops behind you are always chasing you....so that keeps your members motivated....and ofcourse it gives you a good feeling to be a member of the top co-op, you don't need to say your members statements like "It is not about being at the top, but growing together and having fun", instead you can say "Hey guys we are at the top", and that always feels good....but no special benefits like extra farm dollars or something....but also the top 3 co-ops will always surely have completed the most numbers of researches, which means extra farm dollars than members of low rank co-ops

I have often wondered if anyone has done an analysis to see what the actual profit is, money-wise. When the profits are off-set with the weekly, bi-weekly, or daily contributions that are made. It would be interesting to see the numbers on that. Even if it means that I donate more than I make in newly earned profits, I would still choose to be in my co-op though. I just have a curious nature.

Maybe if you tried the event instead of using gold you mite enjoy the GAME more. Or you could do the projects that are timed with the events. Without the events this game would be boring.

So true Vape, and I really don't understand why everybody else should suffer, because YOU, Hust, want's to be nr. 1.??
I truely loves events :) In my Coop, the leader fits the Coop task with the event task (apples now)

Interesting point u raise Celissa....I think it depends on various factors and have to be analyzed individullay.....say we take a new member....so our donation policy is weekly...say for a player over certain level is weekly 50k and 1 hiring of researcher per week....now we have done so many researches that if he/she donates exactly 50k, definately making some considerable profit....now the established players do not pay just allocated 50k per week, some of them pay over 100k even everyday other wise we cannot start a research once one is finished coz the price for starting researches is now so high for us.....so for them it maybe a loss, but co-op is not all about profit but also sense of a community...anyway ur question was money-wise....consider another scenario where the co-op has started....consider another scenario....I know some co-op will only raise money when needed...they would distribute the amount of a research according to a player level....so say my allocation was 250k for research of increase the price of egg by $1....so after I sell 250k everytime I seel egg I will have a profit....so the point is it has to be analyzed individully according conditions

No, Hust, I am not everybody else, but I still don't see, why the Events should slow down, just because YOU wants to be number ONE :)
Your coop can work with events, just as ours can :)

I Disagree with every statement you just made.
No 1 you skip the events with gold-Do you spent more gold then what the blue tractor is worth in Happyness.
No 2 you want to keep your number 1 status in the leader board,Doesnt matter how much Real money you need to spend.Even though it means nothing.
No 3 You maybe want only Gold players to join your co-op in future,To keep your number 1 Status.
No 4 Your Non Gold players work really hard,Well i dont doubt that for one second but your skipping everything with Gold,So how would you know?
The Game might put up a leader board to see who is producing goods to the Coop Missions,I feel for your Non Gold players when that happens,Just kick them out when you see what they are really doing.
I thought this game was about Playing,Fun and enjoyment, You seem to miss all that points,More money than sence comes to mind.

Well befe read back some other comments...someone has given some other reasons too...it is individually tiring too....also events will not stop us from staying no 1, we are that good, just need to spend a little bit gold more and thats it, its just we want our non gold members to be a part of it as it feels like a team, not like we can't do things without their contribution....also I don't see just because YOU like it, events has to be fast and furious:)

I don't agree with Hust, but how he chooses to spend his gold and his money is his business, not ours.

But you don't have to do the events! You can skip them if you find them that tiring. This is what I don't get???? No one says you HAVE to do them. What goes up always comes down :D. You won't keep that spot forever!

My co-op is #3 on the en server and no we don't have a problem. Most of us also use very little gold. We have no problem with projects and taking part in the events at the same. We do plan projects around the events. We enjoy working our farms though and don't mind putting the effort in. We get our enjoyment from finishing the project and completing an event through farming. The planning and strategy is as much fun, maybe more, than the growing, harvesting and collecting.

We all play the game in our way. If you want to spend gold to miss out on an event that is up to you. You could also just sit it out and buy the dec at the end for less than the individual skippings, but that is your choice and one only you can make

But many of us enjoy the events and as it is not compulsory to take part I believe it better to leave them as they arer and leave individuals the choice to take part or not as they see fit

Ok Farmer DJ, when I said skipped everything with gold I ment metaphorically, as rhon said i can get it cheap in the last moment, which I did, also I did played all the events normally before and its the same so no surprise anymore, I know whats the tas.

The funny thing is the way this thread went it made me look like a big gold player and my co-op a bit crazy. Well infact I'm just an average gold player in our server. Well my co-op is a very kind and nice one...not just non-gold player we have six kids out of 26 members who we expect nothing from but brings fun and happiness in our chatroom and co-op. All I was saying when a member asks should they stop doing task and help with the project we feel uncomfortable to say yes do so, because we are nice. All I put here is a problem we faced and a suggestion, you may agree or not agree. No one needs to get personal here. And yes being no 1 is fun for us, what is wrong with that??

@hust, look what you started this time, lol.

Speaking as a non gold player, I look forward to the events because it is my best opportunity to get really good decorations. To me as a non gold player the events are my top priority because they will help me have a much better farm. As a gold player the event decorations are almost meaningless to you. Maybe you should stop and look at it through the eyes of your non gold members and try and work your projects around the events for them as other co-op's obviously have done.

As always I enjoy sparing with you. Most subjects I do agree with you on. 8)

That is exactly my point elizabeth the prize is very valuable for non-gold players that that you cant ask them to not do it, sorry we can't be that rude...and just wanted a 3-4 days break...and also by event not just the three events I meant, charity, accident, bee lady...ok bee lady is not bothering...I mean can't we have two or three days where no one visits my farm??

Also Elizabeth un-related topic but create an au account and watch how many sp points the top co-op's are jumping here, definately not working around events...lol

I will give you that we have a ton of visitors, half of them I ignore. I can see some people wanting a day off :)

I don't really pay much attention to the rankings, but I am sure the top co-ops around here are always busy on projects to stay on top.

Maybe I will create an account on different servers to check out other peoples farms:p
