Welcome to Big Farm. Personally I would wait a little while before joining a coop, they can get a bit expensive to be a part of. So make sure your farm can support you in a coop.
When you are ready to join try the in-game search.
when playing your game, if you go the panel at the bottom of the game screen where you have the inventory and the build button, you will see a little icon with 3 little blue houses on it, when you hover over that it says "my village" click on that and it takes you to your village. Now you will notice that the panel has changed. It now has a globe of the world, click on that and there you see every coop on your server and every village on your server.
The villages have the people not in a coop. The coops are orange the villages are brown.
click on a coop it will give you their info and on the panel with the map of the server world it will have the name of the coop you are looking at and the "i" button to get more info. Click on the "i" and then you can apply to that coop if you want or send them a message.
