What RIP OFF!
I haven't been able to buy gold, but thought I'd try again.
Today, for what ever reason, it's working.
So spent a few bucks, just enough to buy land. Did.
Only NOW, the next land I can buy with game cash is level 33!!!!!
I just WASTED my money. I thought I'd get ahead here but no.
NEVER AGAIN!!!!!!! That was the LAST time I spend real money on land.
You really should put up a warning that buying land with gold moves the level you can buy with game money BACK by several levels. I could have waited.
Comments
This thread has an incomplete chart of the relevant level and cost of each plot
You will see that
The 15th plot is unlocked at level 29 for 3200 gold and level 30 for $530,000 and
The 16th plot is unlocked at level 32 for 3550 gold and level 33 for $580,00
What you bought Plot 15 with makes no difference
Even your explanation makes no sense.
"The plot number...."
This leads me to think each individual plot has a price and an unlock date. It's not the case.
Next
"So if you had bought this plot with dollars the next one would still have been unlocked at level 33"
When I look at plots, and see available at level 30 to buy with GAME money, yet I can pay my money and get the offering on the right,
How would anyone know that doing so pushes the available to buy with game money back two or three levels?
If I would have got some warning, "buying early pushes back the next unlock level"
Since I was about to advance soon anyway, I would have let it go.
And that's the point. Seems this game has every twist possible to part players with real money.
I darn near cleared out all my game given gold not knowing buying special seeds was eating it up.
That has appeared in the forums a few times now.
I'd put it to you all, you do not need to do this.
I'm here. I like the game, I've put in a ton of time already. And yes, to the point where I might spend a few bucks. BUT.... I want to know EXACTLY what I'm getting and at what consequences.
I feel duped. NOT the way to get me to want to spend more.
But live and learn. You got five bucks from me. It will be the last. At least for land.
Instead of Plot 15, read the 15th plot
You bought a plot. It doesn't matter whether you bought it with gold or dollars the next plot is unlocked at the same level for the same price.
Buying early with gold made no difference to when the next plot is available to you
Buying with gold made no difference to the price of the next plot
You now own one more plot than you did before. That has what made a difference
Now if buying land with game money stayed on a fixed schedule, and IF you CHOOSE to you can buy more with your own money. I could see that as a perk. But it's not the case is it.
It won't happen again.
1) You can purchase a level sooner
2) You conserve your farmdollars for other uses
The second advantage is, I think, the more appealing of the two.
Expansions become more and more expensive as you purchase each one. The final one is $31M - and it can take quite awhile to save enough farmdollars to buy the later expansions. Many players prefer to conserve their farmdollars for buildings and upgrades, rather than saving and saving and saving until they have enough to buy another plot of land.
Had you looked ahead you would have known, or looked over the Forum posts.
So getting mad at GG is not worth it, they do do their best to make us happy
here is a hint~~I find it challenging to figure out the best arrangement of decos and building to maximize my space
--When i want to rearrange: i set all that i can for the longest time possible and put all the decos in storage and then rearrange all that i can and when i am satisfied with how it looks--bring back the decos. I Love the 'pile of goods' and large ornamental tree deco--i can always find a space for them. And there are chance to find nice decos hidden in the undergrowth.
