Your co-op needs to do the Research called Recruitments. every time complete the research Recruitments you can add two co-op members

'It's in the research section called 'cooperative'

OK thanks you. I also want to ask that what we have to do after starting the research. That given duration means for what?

I am the leader of a Co-Op. I am having such a hard time finding and keeping active members. Plenty of people apply, i send them a message and never get any response. After I accept them into the co-op they maybe stick around few a few days but aren´t active. How can I get more active players on my co-op?

First of all, what you are doing is correct. Send them a message. On no reply within 24 hours (or 48 hours, whichever sounds more reasonable for you and your co-op), reject the application. I immediately reject applications below level 30, as my co-op has very high level members, unless they have typed a good application. If they leave the standard message, they did not understand and they did not read my co-op description.

Besides that you can make an introduction thread on the forum and check the applications in the cooperative search forum. Do look for WWW members only as you are on that server.

Also take into account you are on an international server and not everybody will be able to speak English. If they speak your native language, you could try, but also that depends on your co-op. I do not accept people that speak my native language unless they also speak English of course. That is because the co-op chat is active and I want them to be able to communicate with the other members as well.

Lastly, do not hurry. It will take a long time for you to find the correct person for your co-op. Keep working, keep sending messages, keep trying. It took me a long long time to establish my co-op in the community and now people know the co-op a bit and actively choose for it sometimes. That is what you do with your forum introduction thread, make it fun and make it stand out. Then establish the name and people may come for you instead of you for them ^^ To establish the name you can put a link to the co-op introduction thread in your signature. Write a nice text to it, make a slogan or something like it, let people know you are looking. You can always post in search threads from WWW people to 1) maybe they will apply and be active and 2) you are establishing your name further. If others see your signature they may want to read more and apply with a good application!

    Good luck!

What is the difference between registration cost and research cost?

Registration costs are paid by the player to hire researchers.

Research costs are paid by the coop to do the research.

To be a bit more specific than Hodor:
Registration costs are the costs every individual member pays to sign up as a researcher. That can be the researcher sign up with dollars but also the hired researcher for gold.

Research costs are the costs you see in the details as an orange flask with a pack of dollars. These costs are paid from the co-op accounts, the amount you can see on the handshake tab. They are a sort of starting fee for the research (you could think of material costs to make it easier for yourself. Think about what is needed to do a real research)

When the research slots have been filled up and there is enough money in the co-op accounts for the research costs, the research can be started by the leader or deputies.

    Hey Larino,

It took some time to even be in able to get a start on the list of translated words. A holiday, a hospital visit and new features, all part of the delay. But now I at least have a start of the most questions asked. I think that with the words I put in that list people at least have a keyword they can use when searching the forum.

Now the question is.. How do I get that list to you ?

Haha. Well 1 thing is, you could try to copy paste it into a private forum message. Also, you could upload it to an online sharing site for documents, like mediafire (account needed, but it is free). Or if really not possible, you can ask me for an e-mail in private, I'd like to avoid that though :) I also wrote down some words and translation, but would like to see your list first. I will hear from you!

If I'm correct you should be in able to find the list with the link below. It's the first start, but we'll get there. If you provide the translations used in the english version of the game, I'll keep on adding in dutch.

It is an public sheet, everyone can add if wanted.

It is indeed public, but is it possible to also make it available to people without hotmail? I can log in, but it should not ask for a log in iirc. Will try to edit it soon!

Edit: hmm, hotmail acts differently. Maybe this will work as I think many have a hotmail account :) Let's just try like this.

Edit 2: I can open it in excel and edit it, but how should I upload it again? I do not use Skydrive :) Alternative?

Edit 3: Cannot open in in excel and therefore not edit it XD Waiting for alternative?

If you fail a co-op Project it means you have to do it again - which means collecting all the collectibles again :( as you used them up in the failed attempt

The only consequence is that you will lose the collectibles you invested in it. For a low level co-op with high level members that is not much of a problem because you can easily add them again. But the higher your co-op gets, the more collection items you will need and the longer you need to save for them. Especially if you have paid for some with gold, it would really be a pity to just lose them and get nothing in return. Good luck and you're welcome!

Are you rewarded if you donate collectibles?
And are you punished if you take them back?

No and no. At least, not by the game. The leader may get angry :P

But of course you do not get punished, because you need to be able to take them back to donate them to another project. Imagine the milk project and the eggs project both need puzzle pieces (just an example). Milk needs 200 and eggs needs 250. You have 230. So you put them in the milk project. But now the co-op would rather do the eggs and you have saved up 50 pieces in the meantime. So then you take back your 200 from the milk and put the total 250 in the eggs project :) Nobody can punish you for doing that :)

There are no individual rewards in a co-op. There have been several threads around asking for it so the members would be triggered to help out more. I think the reward should be a feeling of pride and accomplishment from having been able to make it through the project together. I see a co-op as a fun group where you can socialize and create some more challenge in your game play - to keep it from getting boring. But to be honest, the co-op task is given way too early and makes it a necessity for young players to get their 100 gold (while it shouldn't be like that). I think the co-op task should be given at a later level, when the game tends to get boring, when players know they really like the game and will continue playing, as a challenging new adventure :) But that is just my opinion ^^

    Larino,

    In answer to you question

To my knowledge you don't have to open it in excell, after editing, you can save it by going to : bestand (or file) and then : opslaan als (or save as).

Let me know if you can't work it this way. Then we need to find an alternative.

    Keep me posted :))

Well, Yedice, I cannot even edit this file :S I have been clicking around, using the menu, clicking in the file, trying to type, right clicks, nothing works. So I guess we are going to have to find an alternative, unless you can tell me in an easy way how I should edit it :P

In addition to my private message: harvests count only. You do not need to donate. Also click the green circle arrow to refresh the numbers. Every harvest should be counted automatically. If not, then clear caches and check again.

    Good Morning,

As an appointed deputy, what are my responsibilities to my fellow co-op members? Are there any tasks, that I am now able to perform as a deputy, that will help the co-op in its collective endeavors? What makes a 'good' deputy? Any advice or help that you are able to offer is greatly appreciated.

    Thank you,
    Therasa-Ann

    Morning Ann,

Tasks of a member: participate in projects by making products, donating collectible items to the projects, signing up as a researcher and donating to the co-op accounts.

Tasks of a deputy: All of the above, plus: starting the projects and researches, editing the news section, accepting members into the cooperative.

Tasks of a leader: All of the above, plus: Removing members from the cooperative, changing the name for 2000 gold and editing the description of the cooperative.

I hope that made the tasks a bit clearer.

Now what makes a good deputy? A deputy is a supportive person for the leader. You discuss ideas and decisions together with leader and other deputies, you decide on which project to start and which research to do. You help other members find their way in the co-op and you run the co-op when the leader is offline. The best you can do is discuss with the leader which initiatives you are allowed to take, for example in adding new members or in starting projects or researches. I personally want my deputies to agree with at least 1 other deputy before they start a project or research. In that way at least 2 persons are responsible for leading the projects and researches in the right way for the members and newbies in the co-op :)

    Good luck!
