Do a recruitments research. Here is a tutorial: https://bigfarmtips.wordpress.com/2013/11/20/how-to-add-more-than-5-members/

We are having issues with our Co-Op projects. We do them, complete them, receive the points, but the project levels (shown on 'Cooperative Projects' tab) are staying the same.

it has been this way for about a month or so..

    Any help would be appreciated!;)

If you hover over the trophies, what does it say? The level will increase with an x amount of times you successfully completed the project. The trophies will tell you x/x successes till the next ability. Whenever you reach that amount they will level up. Did you reach that with any of the projects yet? If you do different projects every time over a month it is possible that you did not reach this yet.

Unlocking more research and projects. The projects are good for levelling up even more and unlocking more research. The research helps expand the co-op, but the most interesting part of research is that you can research farm products and all members in the co-op will then get more money for the products you researched when they sell them. For example Healthier Pigs level 1, normally you get 5 dollars per pig and after you did that research you get 6 dollars per pig.

I have been trying to find a more detailed description for the cooperative menu member's tab. Specifically I am wondering what the fourth column all explains. I notice the drop-down menu includes the options dollars invested, gold invested, and project activity. Underneath then it says no data yet. I know I have invested dollars and my cooperative has also completed a project. I don't understand why it says no data yet. Additionally, exactly what does the drop-down option project activity explain...how does it record each member's project activity?

The dollar option of that column: This shows how many dollars each member has contributed. It is the sum of all money that has been donated into the co-op accounts and all the money paid for signing up as a research by that particular member.

The gold option of that column: Same as the dollars, but then of course about the gold they contributed. Also skipping research with gold counts in the sum of this.

Project activity: The shovels represent the average activity over 5 projects, counting in the 4 best projects the heaviest, and of those the last project also the heaviest. The data will only show after the member has been there in 2 full projects, but will not be accurate until 5 projects have been done. Besides taking into account the amount the member has produced, it also counts his level and some other secret factors GGS does not want to tell us about.

The only way to get it back is to ask the current leader to give it back, unfortunately. I really hope he will give it back to you if you explain what happened.

ShanHa, I think you are referring to a cooperative (co-op) project, not to a mission. Missions are entirely different things. Now, as to your question, a co-op project first requires that specified amounts of three types of collection items be provided by members of your cooperative. Each type may be provided by only one co-op member. (One member can provide all three types, or three different members can provide one type, for example.) When all of these collection items have been provided, a green checkmark appears on the project. This allows the co-op leader or a deputy to start the project. Only one co-op project can be running at any given time. Once the project has been started, every member of your co-op can (and should) contribute by harvesting whatever product(s) the project requires. The product(s) harvested belong to the member who harvests them (they can be stored, used as ingredients or sold, for example). If all of the members of your co-op produce enough of each product within the allotted time, then the project ends and your co-op receives a specified number of co-op points. (To see how many points a project gives, click the crate on the right side of the co-op project.) Co-op points determine your co-op's level and what projects your co-op can work on. When a project ends, successfully or not, the collection items used to "prime" it will be lost (used up). The members of your co-op will then have to supply more collection items before that particular project can be run again. Of course, next time the project may require a larger amount of each collection item, and more of each product may be required to complete the project. As the required amount of each product increases, it becomes more and more difficult to complete the project on time. However, the allotted time may be increased by first completing one of the Negotiation Skills research projects.

Hi, Larino! I haven't gotten an answer in "Technical Problems" yet so I thought I'd ask you.
I can no longer use the scroll wheel to scroll to the second page of my coops members list. Is it just me or is it an update change. It was a lot easier than using the scroll buttons on the side. Thanks!

I never use the scroll button for that, but I think it is a bug. They did not mention anything about it in the update patch notes.

    Larino,
Do you have any advice on recruiting members? I've sent out about 50 messages to people who (in game) are looking for a co-op, yet I've only managed to recruit three new members in the past two months. I'd like to build up my co-op membership so that projects and research will be easier, but I don't want to be a revolving door, so I've been following your tip about sending an app and requiring a reply. Why do so many people ignore that?

I blame the game economy. It has changed drastically over the last year. Our co-op cannot find any members either. We used to get about 20 apps every day, now it is one or two if we're lucky and usually very low levels that just hit the apply button because they got the task to do so. We have been stuck at 45 members for a long time now :(

Select the amount, then type the amount you want to donate. You can also use the plus and minus sign, but if you want to donate much more than 500 that takes a very long time clicking.

I've gotten to the point where I'm willing to send the app to the low-level members, but even they don't respond, or if they do, it's just pointless garble or some stupid reply that has nothing to do with the questions in the application. Frustrating, but I guess I'll just have to be patient.

This is so true. Also there are so many cooperatives the demand for new members is at an all time high.

If someone applies to a co op and is neither rejected or accepted, will they be automatically added after a certain amount of time? This is the second time in the last couple weeks where someone has joined our co op and no one online at the time clicked "accept". Our co op is a closed co op, and these folks "sat outside the door" for about 3 days before the chat board said they had joined the co op. Has anyone else had this occur? Is this normal?

That should not be normal. I haven't ever seen that. I have heard of mystery persons joining the co-op, but usually that was a long forgotten invite somebody ever made and which never got accepted until then. I have not heard of any applicants automatically joining the co-op after a couple of days without anybody accepting them in. It may be a bug; if it happens to more people the technical problems forum will have threads about the issue.

Click on the member you want to make leader, use the drop down in the menu that pops up when you click them and choose to make them leader. Make sure you actually want to give it away, as there is no other way to get it back than to hope the new leader will give it back to you should you change your mind. Also, there is only one founder of the co-op and that is the person that left. Nobody else will ever be founder except for that person if he ever returns. Anybody can be leader though.

who puts the golden shovel by the name and how does that work

The system does that, based on 5 past projects, averaging them with different weightings according to a difficult formula. It takes into account the level of the player, the amount they contributed to a project and calculates with the best 4 projects they participated in, the latest one weighing the heaviest. And then there are some unknown factors to the formula. The outcome of the calculations will determine how many shovels the player gets and the player with the best results will also get the golden shovel. It is possible to have a tie amongst several players, in that case they all get a golden shovel. After each project the outcomes are re-calculated.

Thanks. I've been trying to start a research project for about a year and wasn't aware that I had to pay the starting fee from coop funds. I've finally started the research project.

I've had a quick skim through this awesome thread, but couldn't see a comment on the "unlocked padlock" symbol that I can see against 2 co-ops. When I hover my mouse over the symbol it comes up with "open co-op". On clicking on-to the co-ops themselves, there is no additional info on that co-op that there is on any other co-op on the list.

    So what's the padlock about?

Thats something that was only added recently, here is the announcement for it. It basically allows a coop to have an open-door setting, so that anyone can join without applying or being invited. ^^
