Big Farm is entirely playable even if you never buy gold. Just expect that it will take a bit longer to accomplish your goals within the game teebird. :)

As for getting an answer from a coop application, some will respond soon, but others may not respond at all sorry - it depends on the cooperative. Don't despair if you don't get into a cooperative straight away though, you don't need to be in one to play at all so take your time and you'll find that as your farm levels up, you'll find it a lot easier to find a coop. :)

Im on a limited income...what if I cant afford to get more gold??? and I asked to join 2 co-ops about 7 hours ago, when can I expect an answer???

Additional about those co-ops, it depends also on the ranking of that co-op. Higher ranked tend to send a rejection or accepting message pretty soon (within a day, maybe 2). Lower ranked may not know what they are doing and never check their applications or are inactive so there is nobody to check them. There are of course exceptions for co-ops that just started and are on the growing curve. You could check the date they have been founded and then their rank to determine whether they may be active or not. You can also check the deputies and leader's farm to determine if they are still playing.

To be safe, though, you could also not take a risk and apply for Training Larino. I check applications daily, so then you know the answer. Within a day you are in ;) Though you do have to go after roughly 5 days to find a new co-op, but once training Larino, always training Larino, so you may always ask me for help finding a co-op or join one of our partners ^^

    Hello there
As a cooperative leader I wanna know where I can be informed about how many dollars my cooperative account has.. For example how many more dollars we need to start a research, or how many dollars the co-op has spend so far, etc.
    Thank you

You can see on the main co-op tab (handshake tab) how many dollars and gold are in the co-op account. You can also donate more there. Unfortunately you cannot see how much you spent :(
If you want to start a research, you need 2 things. 1) fill up all the research slots by having members sign up from their own personal dollars (or gold) and 2) a starting fee, which is mentioned in the details when you click on the research. That last amount will be deducted from the co-op account, so the amount on the main co-op tab, when you start the research, provided you donated enough.
You can see how much your members have donated (both by signing up as a researcher and donating into the account - will be piled up in one total amount) on the member list tab - change the project activity for the donated dollars and donated gold if you want to check.

    Good luck!

You can only transfer the members of one co-op to the other. All money and gold spent in that co-op will be lost when you close it.

The locked projects have disappeared due to a bug. GGS is trying to fix it, so they should be back sometime in the future. Until then, you can see all available projects here, including which co-op level they unlock: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AmznUddFysnPdDFMZkprR3VOV0F5UktzOHBFUFc2WGc&richtext=true

    To join a cooperative,

    -Click multiplayer features
    -Click Cooperative
    -Click "find a cooperative"
-A window for cooperative rank will open.

Click the cooperative which is marked with a magnifying glass
Then, click apply and write a good application. i.e Why you want to join them. How much do you play, etc.

The applications will be sent to them and wait for some time until someones accepts you in the co-op.

Check Cooperative Introduction corner to look for a cooperative on your server.

You can either start a thread in cooperative search , but read this post before starting a thread.

You can only join the cooperative which is on your server. Look for a cooperative on same server as yourself.

Some useful tips are here and here

A pictorial information on how to join a co-op,

Good luck with your cooperative search!

Was she inactive for more than 30 days? The leadership is automatically transferred to the next person (deputy or if not deputy normal member) in line after 30 days or inactivity. Or maybe she accidentally gave away the lead to somebody else? Those are the only ways to lose leadership over a co-op. To get it back she will need to ask the current leader to re-assign her as the leader. Good luck!

I have been thinking about leaving the co-op group and finding another. HOWEVER I have put in much gold to be a researcher and nothing has been done ;( ...If I leave the co-op or get kicked out will I or can I get my gold back? ?(

No you cannot get any gold back

if you have paid dollars for a Researcher and the research hasn't started you get the dollars back. You can also take back any donated Collectibles that haven't been used yet. But no Gold, that is gone whether it was a donation, Researcher or paid for Collectibles

Tasks of a member: participate in projects by making products, donating collectible items to the projects, signing up as a researcher and donating to the co-op accounts.

Tasks of a deputy: All of the above, plus: starting the projects and researches, editing the news section, accepting members into the cooperative.

Tasks of a leader: All of the above, plus: Removing members from the cooperative, changing the name for 2000 gold and editing the description of the cooperative.

N.B. The founder does not have special abilities. His abilities are determined by his second status symbol. In this post’s example picture the founder is also the leader. This means he will have the leading tasks and abilities. If the second symbol is yellow, he will have the deputy’s tasks and abilities and if he has no other indication, he will have the member tasks and abilities. This also means, if the founder gave away the lead or if the lead has been passed on because he was inactive for more than 30 days, he cannot get this back unless the current leader gives the lead back to him. Therefore, if you want to give the lead away but not resign in your abilities, think twice. The new leader could kick you out of the co-op.

Leading a co-op is not an easy task. You need to actively recruit if you want it to proceed forward. The most applicants you get through the in-game application window (click the red person button in the first handshake tab) are not very serious and do not understand how a co-op works. Therefore it would be a good idea to send them a message first to make sure they understand what a co-op is about and how much work they will have to be doing.

Be careful with the first two that join. They will automatically be made deputy (plaatsvervanger) and are able to start projects. You do not want them to start a project and leave so you fail it ;) I made that mistake in the beginning as well. It may be better to put them back on member status first (click their name and use the drop down menu.

To get more people than the ones that apply to your co-op, you can look in the forums for people that are searching (check the cooperative search forum and also the thread for non-English speaking in your case). You can advertise for your co-op in the co-op introductions forum. Use again the thread for non-English speaking if you want to write in Dutch.

And lastly, check the rankings for people without a co-op, but that advance fast. They may be worth writing a message to. Always stay polite though, send them only one message, some get hundreds of messages and have actively chosen not to want to join a co-op, so it may drive them batty that they are getting another message.

    Good luck!

Is there now a task paying 20 gold to start a cooperative project? A member asked if he could start one due to this.

That is probably the stockpile task he has. He needs to add collectibles to a project. Most members don't understand a thing about that and think they can finish it by starting a project. Or they think if the project has completed, they can add collectibles again. While there is of course a much easier way - simply ask somebody to take theirs out if they have enough collectibles.

After the completion of a Project. If a Project hasn't been completed there is nothing new to calculate

No, but there is a thread asking for it to be made public though
    http://en.board.goodgamestudios.com/bigfarm/showthread.php?94045-Poll-make-the-shovels-formula-public

No the shovels are awarded for collecting/producing/harvesting during a Project. They are calculated from the last 5 Projects completed but the worst result is discounted. So the 4 best results from the last 5 Projects

Donations of Collectibles, dollars and gold are not part of the shovel formula

I'm actually certain those donations do count, since one member who never harvests for our missions (ever) regularly pays in a tiny little bit of money or a couple of gold to stay 2-shovelled?

If he plays regularly, he has to contribute to some of the projects - for example, egg collection when he collects his chicken coops - he may not go out of his way to grow the vegetables you need but that regular collection would be enough to keep him at 2 shovels I would think.

Riiight, so they accidentially might participate a leedle bit.

    *sigh*

    New question:

Is there ANY point in taking in level 9 players when one can't find any level 40-50 ones? And even the level 28 one one helped left? They'll leave anyway once their task is done and we have no gain? But also no loss?

If they are excited to join (so send them a message first to find out about that) yes there is a point in taking them in and trying to train them. Do not underestimate the value of newbies :) Sometimes if a newbie looks really promising, we take them in and educate them and they grow fine. Unless they all of a sudden quit - then they are the first to be kicked out again. So yeah, there are two sides of that story. Either they come in and are diamonds or they come in and are out with the next train going to the airport so to say :P

I am not sure if the WWW server has these so called travellers. I have only heard from them on the French server. If your co-op cannot complete certain projects, you need to expand. Make sure you get people that are actually willing to help. Search hard for members, send them a message before you let them in to see if they are good communicators and fill up your co-op so you have some extra hands to help you with the projects. Good luck.
