Poaching co op members

What is up with these co ops trying to move in and take members that are already in a co op? We have taken in lower level members (that no one else would accept)and they have been with us since they started this game and now daily we have members complaining about these dirty underhanded tactics! co ops only accepting level 50 and above members! what a joke! Put some work in the game and stop trying to take shortcuts! I work with these people daily and they are loyal to our co op! I would NOT want to be in a co op that stoops to such tactics!X( You didn't want them at level 13 but now that they are level 50 its ok to try to take them? Try putting the work in your co op and stay out of mine!X(

Yay for you Sandi :) To find and help new players is awesome, wish I'd started with someone that has time to help one learn. I agree with you and can not imagine trying to talk successful players into moving on is an unsavory thought. Also those that were taken in, taught, encouraged and gained experience I would think would not be moved.

Level 6 members can barely be taught... I can know that, since I have a training co-op out of which I have to kick millions of red dots because people quit the game or cannot be active and without prior notice. I cannot blame the co-ops that use different techniques to get around that. I have only had a few in my training co-op who were actually interested and I am truly proud of them and happy for them that they will easily find a good co-op because they have good communication skills. Have you seen all those posts in the co-op search forum? I want, I need and I will join your co-op. Add me, add me, add me! We do not like those, but they are the majority...

I was very lucky to get the members that we have! I also have had to remove my share of members for not logging in and not participating and that is why it makes me angry for another co op to resort to such underhanded tactics! We paid our dues and now have a thriving co op and ALL my members are loyal and tell me when this happens. I am sick of it! I put in the work to get a good group of people and another co op thinks they can sweet talk them away! Stop being so lazy and work to have a good co op!

i have members of my CoOp who receive these type of "invites" all the time. It has become a running joke among us to see who gets the next one. Amazing that they always come from the same CoOp.

Whoever thought a farming game would get so political! Yes, I have received emails and I just tell them no thanks and move on. If your member is loyal to you they will stay. If not, well, maybe the best thing is for that member to move on.

No sense getting upset and outing people. Wasted energy.

    Maxiroy--Well said!
If these people are truly harassing then send some screen shots in to Support and let them deal with it. There is always the option to block someone as well.

Hey guys, while some of the tactics used by some cooperatives to recruit members may not be to everyones tastes, any posts made with names of players in them with the intention of "outing" them will be removed.

As Monica has suggested, please send a screen shot to Support if the situation becomes harassing, then put them on ignore.

Only the coop name, no need to post player names. I am in for some over the top sarcasm and sharp words :-)

In some other online game i once made a alliance out for cowardly dogs (on the forum, so EVERY other players would know what chickens they are), then one of them posts i can reed that as insulthing... DUH... Thats the whole idea smarty... You win first prize...

Half of the wars are won with diplomacy and i am as diplomatical as an elephant in a household store !

Co-op names will be removed too.

Pitchforked mobs are never a good idea.

If there is harassment then take screenshots and sent them to Support using Contact Us at the bottom of the page

Contacting a farmer and asking them to join your Co-op is not harassment. You can decline if you are happy in your current Co-op or accept if you feel you would be better elsewhere

Well we cant raise an army in this game and trash their farms, so the only pitchforks we have are words :-)
And else, to stay in the farm style, rotten eggs and rotten tomatoes will do fine too :-)

But you might be right, little kids also play this game, and it could get rough :-)

Well now I feel bad. My other farm, (user name userdigger) was in a co op. I was invited and joined. Didn't know what I was doing though.

Then I found Larino's training thing and quit mine to join that. I hope they didn't feel miffed over my up and quitting.

I should have asked to do the draining logged in as FlowerChild. (Which is still looking to be included in someones co op.)

BTW Larino I have a question for you. One of the projects needs the little puzzle piece things. I'm short by ONE.
Suppose to get those by interacting with pigs, fields etc etc... which I do all the time and haven't seen one of those in ages. Wonder if this is a game bug?
Can't I donate what I have? Or do you need the full 40 asked for?

I could send this to you directly but perhaps other people have the same problem.

You need all 40.:( One farmer must donate all of one collectible in one go. Although the ability for all co-op members to pool their resources is often asked for GGS have said that will not happen

Well I've been playing both my farms all morning. (Heat wave here, too hot to do anything.)
I have not seen one single piece come up at all.
Wondering if they stopped using that particular piece? Or if it's a bug. Surely by now it should have come up.

Exactly, I don't understand why people get upset over stuff like this. Life is too short to take these things to the extreme. It's a GAME.

The problem is we took in these people when they were lower level members and that means we had to donate more money and more collection items we had to harvest more and put more of our time into the game and now for co ops to keep trying to lure them away means I have to do it all over again! If I need a new member I come to the forum and place an ad and send invites but I DO NOT try and lure one from another co op! That is dirty pool and it should not be allowed! Why should I do all the work and invest the time for another co op to reap the benefits? It is a game but I wouldn't play monopoly if another member could just come over and take all my money any time they wanted either!

I do see your point and I sympathize with the co-ops, that have lost valued members this way. However Co-op poaching as you call it, is not against any rules. Just enjoy the satisfaction that you get when your members stay with you and not leave to go to them.

I think this happens to all.... My coop is one of the top 10 coops in our servers. I am getting some invites from lots of coops.

Some of them are really low rank like 200+. I really dont think anyone who founded and leader of top coop will go and join the coop that is really not performing so well...

But even after I replied them I wont be joining them they keep inviting me. And they do the same to my coop members also.

I think mostly they are not checking if there person you wishing to join your coop is in some other coop or not.,.. They just send a mail saying that we should be really pleased and ready to join their coop and to grab such an wonderful opportunity.

Me & my coop members usually ignore such repeated messages. and nice fun about that in our chat.

I was trying to find a coop for a very long time and no one would accept me even the ones for beginners, so I plodded along on my own trying to get ahead and getting no where then suddenly i received a message from a coop asking me if I would like to join them I wasn't at a high level I think about 13 so I joined and the coop was very helpful, it didn't matter how many questions I asked there was always someone there to help me now I am still in the coop and at level 45. I would just like to say well done to my coop for taking the time to help farmers like myself and others

if you keep getting the same person from the same co-op trying to poach, and it is annoying you, get all the members to ignore that person!

And being constantly asked by the same co-op, even after asking them not to, would probably be harassment. So take scrennshots and contact Support

But just being asked to join a co-op is not harassment. You use the word 'Poaching' as it is very emotive, but a happy, contented and loyal co-op member cannot be 'poached'. Only the discontented who you are better off without anyway
