The amount donated should imo be level dependent, but not fixed. You can ask more from higher levels than from lower levels, but lower levels should not donate nothing. We do not use fixed amounts but just leave it up to them to donate what they want. Is it too little in our opinion and not fair to the others? Then we send that member a message to please donate a bit more.
If somebody did not participate in the last research for whichever reason (too late, no money, not necessary that time) we would like to see them join at least the next research.
We try to run researches nearly back to back with one or two days rest period. Just like we feel it should be. Our members sometimes ask us what will be the next research or come up with a project they want to do.
It is no rocket science, but I think everybody understands that if a set of 5 members around level 40 donated in total around 2M and the 6th level 40 only 1M that the 6th should donate a bit more and the other 5 can donate a bit less. On the other hand, if that 6th member joined much later it is also not really fair to have them catch up with the rest so soon.
Concluding, I think it is something you should try to establish together with your members and it is some sort of gut feeling whether you think somebody participates in a fair way or not
I mean, if members aren't doing anything and let you work for it, they do not really deserve to be in the co-op. And if they are good members they hear your story and jump in to help you, so you can work on your farm instead of throwing all your money into the co-op. ^^
Thanks
Thanks for the help.
We also don't have a rule of donating daily or weekly. I personally try to donate daily, less easy to forget. I usually donate somewhere between 100k and 200k per day.
It's an excellent resource on how co-ops work
