Letter about cooperative at level 6

It would be very interesting to know what information is sent with that new letter about cooperative available at level 6 from today? Do only level 6 get it, or all the members who are still not in the cooperative? As a coop leader, I would like to know what's has been explained in that letter, so I will not be repeating the same information, when new coop member joins the coop :) I think level 6 is a bit early to join the coop, but this letter is definately step in the right direction

I'm almost tempted to start a new account on a different server just to see this letter myself.

    Thinking.... thinking... thinking...

That is the text of the letter sent to coop members at level 6:
Wow! Your farm has really grown. But why are you still not a member of a cooperative? It's easy: Just found one yourself or join an existing cooperative!
There are lots of advantages to doing so: Together with your new friends, you can research advantages and complete cooperative projects. And if you have a question, other cooperative members will surely be able to help you in the chat.
And don't worry: New players are always welcome in cooperatives!
P.S.: Cooperatives that are currently looking for members are marked with a little symbol in the ranking list.

wow the letter is disappointing--Nothing about hints how to apply or to make their own farm more productive so that they do get invited. I think it is only for level 6--my www1 farm is level 32 i don't recall getting such a message, even though i am not in a co-op.

CM Malreyn did specifically state "Upon reaching level 6" in the announcement post, Monica, so it's not surprising that higher level players didn't get the letter, despite speculation in the discussion.

And yeah, I'm disappointed too that it's not nearly as helpful or informative as it could have been. The "New players are always welcome in cooperatives!" part is particularly disappointing, since we experienced players know that this is just plain untrue until you are a much higher level than 6. :-/

Quite disappointing indeed... They mention research and projects, but I hear those level 6's thinking: what are those?! What can I do with them?! What do I need to do to participate in them or to contribute to them?! Oh well, it is a minor step in the right direction at least :) Now let's hope for more improvements! (like putting the quest up to a higher level...)

Maybe CoOps should be changed to where you are allowed X number of members below level 30 and X number above level 30. I choose level 30 because it is at this point a player can contribute coins to build membership past the 15 pre-coin cap. So a CoOp that is currently allowed up to 15 players would suddenly be allowed 30 players, but only the top 15 (or whatever the current maximum is) that are above level 30 would be allowed to contribute coins.

Either you need to change it completely and delete all the recruitment researches (which seems very unlikely for GGS to do) or I don't think it would help... Co-ops need ALL their members to contribute and lower levels simply cannot do so. For some researches really all members need to contribute their researcher, but also dollars for the co-op to start the research. At a certain level researches cost well over a million dollars and if those lower levels do not contribute, they are practically dead weight. It costs only a couple of days, maximum a week to get to level 25 if you play much. If they would let players get to that level before offering them the co-op task, it would be much much better.

As Larino says, All members need to hire researchers, but kids are often not clever enough to navigate the Tab,Tab, Pull down Tab, Click on type of research, and then have the sense leftover to click on a button labelled "research details".

To get my members to hire researchers usually involves 2-4 mass mails upon which I name people who have not contributed.

It is sad this "letter" is not more descriptive.

To me this letter just looks more like another encouragment to join a coop, it really does not give any useful info about being a member of the cooperative, more so - I think it's a bit misleading and will cause some dissapointment as it is not that easy to be accepted to the coop at level 6, and if someone is lucky enough to be accepted, he/she will have no idea that donations to the coop are normal and necessary to benefit from that membership. Maybe some sort of tutorial should be developed for the coop interface, as not everyone reads this forum
