Loveboy2, there's a spreadsheet linked from the first post of this thread where ss0209 is collecting all the details that have been shared here so far.
It looks like you and I got quite the opposite ends of the bell curve! And yes, it doesn't seem random at all when it happens either way. This time I got what so many people seem to expect the first time they run through one of these tasks (and when it doesn't happen they're all surprised and we have to explain that it's supposed to be random and not a guaranteed collection). I actually got blossoms from all but one of my orchard harvests; that is far from the usual experience. (I'm a little sorry it happened, too, because it actually placed me badly for the following task. I didn't have as much time to restock chicken feed as I expected, and now I've run out by being inattentive to that while milling pig feed.)
But since there are still more than four days left and we're still only in the second day as I write this, working on the cherry blossom task already is actually ahead of the curve. I think it's a bit early to be talking about giving up, unless you're just plain out of patience and too annoyed to wait any longer.
And yet, none of that actually answers your question, does it, but it all seems relevant to me, so I'm not going to kill this post.
in task 3 you have to collect cherry blossoms from orchards. You have to collect 700, but it's not much, because you get 200 from cherry orchards. My apples are not finished yet, but I assume we can get 50, or perhaps 100 in apple orchards. The reward is 75 exprience points.
Best of luck to everyone

The random/find events can be annoying, you can't plan your next steps as well, you just have to hope. So far I've noticed that in each event chain there has been 3 random events and 3 others. At least there is no supply an item for very little reward (the supply apples from last time was not fun).
Good luck everyone. ^^
I have posted what I have been receiving (as accurately as I can see) on post 104 of this feed.
@greefun... I have actually found this one easier than the fairy tale. I was trying to say that all 3 event lines have had 3 random tasks in them. 8)
"For easy refernce I am updating the task in the spread sheet here."
From there you can find a spreadsheet will all the tasks connected to the levels.
I entered task 5 as a lev 60 with only 2 pigsty and occupied upgr. window(first deco bought this event, since up untill then I wanted to be able to make ad hoc changes for tasks.)
Since I found description for task 5 is a little unclear, even the wonderful ss0209 spreadsheet says "46 pig feed for sties, collect 460 pig feed":
(maybe only important for underpowered farms on the pig department)
Supply pigsties with 46 pig feed, means: feed a pigsty 46 times 10 or 8 or whatever pig feed
Having a poor 2 sties, means 23 x 1 hr 10, = about 27 hours almost hourly attention.
Having 4 pigsties though, (norm for this level?) will let you finish the feeding in the same time as the other part of the task, the milling (provided fully upgraded mill, and no inbetween task for it)
I missed the word supply in the first set of tasks... Now I added that....
Sorry for causing confusion
Doing so made it easy and I completed the task in 6.5 hours of gameplay and like you, found that the total time required for the pig sties was about the same as that required to mill the pig feed part of the task, so it balanced out nicely.
I'm now demolishing 5 since they're useless for finding cranes and rebuilding the 2 original apple orchards and, depending upon how sucessful they are at finding cranes, I may build more temporary apple & cherry orchards - I don't have cherry orchards for nomal gameplay, preferring multiple apple orchards.
I'm currently finding cranes and am updating my post with the find statistics for each production and processing facility (see link in my sig.) - milling corn is by far and away the best method I've found so far, which along with growing corn and creating fertiliser from the silo are giving me about 70 cranes per hour, so I'll finish the event late tomorrow.
Good luck to everyone else.
its not so much the words or phrasing used by Lorelei3 or ss0209.
"Supply pigsties with 46 pig feed" is also the exact description on the game's taskbar for the first the task,
Same goes for the second task being " collect 460 pigfeed"
Both have the same icon on the taskbar. The two however are not the same thing, you cant compare the quantities.
If you could, first task would be done after supplying 5 times 10 pig feed to 1 pigsty
At the same time , if you have no tower, the amount of to collect and to feed pigfeed, are both 460
I just wanted to warn other naive players who are weak on pigs they need to start 46 harvests of pigs so they can take action in time, to balance the two tasks in quest 5.
Supply pigsty with pigfood = start producton of pigs.
Task 6, level 54/55 (not sure which it counts for, since I levelled up in the last task)
Reward 150 XP
Find 1000 cranes, skip for 1650 gold.
[Edit: Task 6, level 56, the skip for gold is also 1650.]
Since it looks like everyone has to find 1000 cranes (which is right and proper, because that's the traditional number to fold for good luck or a wish), I do hope the algorithms are set to produce them more quickly for lower level players!!!
When you find them, you get 80 in apple harvests.
The first cranes I got were 18 from my mill for a 120-run of chicken feed. But with four days left to find them all, I'm not worrying about counting them now; I'm just farming as usual.
I actually built a fourth pigsty just for this task, and feeding them is actually taking me considerably longer than milling. If only I had done the time calculations first last night, I wouldn't have left my poor chickens starving halfway through the final pig feed run; I could easily have interspersed chicken feed! Four 120-runs of pig feed with a level 4 mill only takes a bit over 7 hours (and a bit under if you remember you only need 100 for the fourth run), but feeding a set of 4 pigsties 12 times takes almost 13 hours if you fed them first right after getting the task, or a full 14 hours if you were unfortunate enough to have fed them just before getting the task. So I had finished cranking out all the feed for both my farms before I went to bed, but I still had several hours of feeding left when I got up again. I'm glad the level 55 farm only had to do 36/360; that only takes 5.5 hours to mill, and feeding only takes 9 hours, give or take.
Task #6: Find 1,000 Origami Cranes / skip for 1,300 gold
Reward: 120 XP
However, these events can really get tedious!
Montuous, what did you think of the Koi Pond?
I carefully didn't think about it again once I saw that it costs gold! ;D
So, my analysis: Just like the unicorn in the last event, the koi pond is quite valuable because it fills a niche — there are no other 6x4 gold decos, so it's literally the best you can get for its footprint — and also because its happiness per square is right up there at 2.9583. That's a per-square value that has only been available either as a prize, or as a gold purchase in the previous two theme events' limited-edition decos.
For comparison, the next best 6x4 is the shed at a mere 1.4583, and beyond that the comparisons are approximate only, because none of the rest of these has the same footprint. The 6x3 playground is 2.6667 (fits the footprint, but does not fill it, which lowers the per-square value), the 3x3 farm sign is 2.7778 (again, fits but does not fill the footprint), the 5x5 blue tractor is 2.8000, the camp's 5x5 trailer is 2.9200, the 5x5 large event prizes are 2.9600, the 5x4 fairy tale's unicorn is 3.0000 (a wicked good value; I so wish I had been able to buy that one!), and the charity drive's 5x5 Wellspring of Happiness is 3.6000.
In short, if you need that size and have the gold for it in your budget, grab it while you can!
EDIT:
Holy crap, I just got 60 cranes out of a 12-hour composter run!
Montuos... I will tell you if i get it quickly in the low level one...
i dont see anything

I think it's level 15
I just hit 500 after my morning four hours. When I log in again this evening I'll probably collect 200+ instantly from the mill and silo and all the stables/fields that I'm staring now.
Does anyone know how to collect the cherry blossoms for this task?
