You could just not visit it or add to it.

Later when you have a decent cash flow I'm sure that you will find it very profitable and be happy to still have it

Are you having a hard time with the upkeep? I had the same problem and I just had to stop doing it for awhile to catch up.

Joel, make sure you have your happiness level in the green.
If happiness is to low then running costs will be higher.
I see that you have a flower bed and a ornamental tree.
You might want to change them with deco's with more happiness.

But trust me, the gourmet farm is worth it as long as running costs are low.

As rhon and SpaceGirl point out, the Gourmet Farm can be extremely profitable, once you understand the variables and get your happiness level deep in the green.

You have to be careful not to expand production facilities too fast unless you have enough decorations to get your happiness level up.

Your Level 3 house on the farm, for example, has an "unhappiness" value of -91...To overcome a minus 91 requires a lot of decorations. And your Level 2 house is a -62...Sure, you get "happiness" points from your fence, gate and cabin. But you still need a lot of decorations to balance those high unhappiness values of your houses.

I noticed you have a cherry orchard! That's great because at night, you can make Cherry juice, which takes 8 hours, but is very profitable. So you are generating product while you're asleep! If at all possible, your farm has to be making something (and therefore generating cash flow) when you are not on the computer. That's why cherry juice is a great item when you are building your farm.

When you are online and working the farm, you can make omelets, which are very cheap and fast to make. But when you are off the computer for long periods, make that Cherry juice. And if you are out of cherries, use your apples and milk to make applesauce or yoghurt! But keep the restaurant working even when you are not online if you can.

And keep working on getting that "happiness" level DEEP INTO THE GREEN!

Once you understand the interplay of all the variables, you will discover that the Gourmet Farm will generate a great deal of cash flow, especially when you start making complex foods, such apple pie and marzipan.

And the flower farm is even more profitable!

So do not give up...the fun is in figuring out the interplay of all of the variables, and finding the right balance, so that the farm throws off a lot of money!
