workers and money bags

when the workers are running around the farm quite often money bags pop up and if you hover over them it will give you things.....eggs, dung, pigs, corn, ect. Sometimes it is actual money but it never seems to increase the money on my farm. I see it go up to the balance/money area but it doesn't actually add the money to the balance. Am I doing something wrong when I click on those money bags or is there a particular way to actually collect the money?

The dollars are added on hover over. It is already added by the time you see the animation. Make a note of your dollars and then grab a few bags until you get some dollars. And then see if it has gone up
