Can any one tell me in task 3 of Fairy tale does to 'provide' wild flowers mean to donate them,or is it just to harvest,if the former I would like to get plenty in the barn beforehand.

You have to donate them, not just harvest

You only need to donate the wild flowers, it's up to you about you want also to harvest them or not. If you better want to do that, you can buy all the wild flowers you should donate.

I know I saw in the past updates that we would be able to choose our level for the fairy tale stories but I never get the chance to choose the level. The level is always chosen for me. What happened?

Have you won the 74 happiness deco yet? If not, then you cannot choose level.

Thanks Larino. Now I see why I won the Magical tower, but am still on the 74 happiness deco for the Asian event. I have work to do...

Thanks everyone for providing so much useful information to this thread. I've been reading it a bit at a time since the event began this time. I decided I better find some tips because I've only completed one event and I'm on level 39. Sad, eh?

I am happy to report that the tips are working and I am currently half way done collecting those breadcrumbs. I think the chances of finishing are good, you agree?

Also, planting a couple of those magic beans at the same time gave me 40 breadcrumbs at once when I harvested one. I'll have to see how the other does when I harvest it as I staggered the sowing. (The other yielded 30 breadcrumbs.)

    Good luck to all.

Yep, all i use for task 3 is the gourmet farm, I do not harvest anything during task 3 and hold off harvesting anything for the next task

For task 5 I hold off harvesting apples until it I donate all apples i have right before i harvest the apples, then i harvest the apples and donate those to finish the event

You can find each and every spreadsheet needed to all the different events in Larino's Corner. You just need to click on the link in KBahr's signature (type "spreadsheets" in the search-slider in the upper right corner). ;);):p

Does anyone know how many fireflies you get from Special Wild Flower, Bean, Hibiscus, Rapaseed & violets? The spreadsheet on Larino's Corner is incomplete for these items.

can anyone clarify for me please the amount of apples needed for donation in this event in task 5 ? I am doing the 4 book level of the event & it has come up with needing 26,100 BUT on all the spreadsheets I can find it says 8,700 lol

I'm struggling through but have worked out that at 3 orchards @ level 5 it will take 45 continuous hours :S HELP !!!! lol

I just looked at the spreadsheet and you are right, I have heard something about them reworking the events for amounts, that may have affected the amount you need. I suggect you message one of the community managers to find out if it has changed.

Those fireflies nearly had me throwing in the towel when I'd only reached the halfway point after 16 straight hours playing. It's frustrating to not see any fireflies, or low numbers of fireflies for several hours. I was going to wait to finish the even to go to bed, but I already stayed awake for the parts before the fireflies.

So glad to have that one done, but I guess I will have to come with a different and more calm attitude for the next event I participate in. If the fireflies had been in the first part, I would have quit. Not very uplifting.

Are there advantages for co-operative members, when playing the event? As not a member of a co-op, I usually do some of the tasks of each event, then bail after a while if the reward/prize isn't worth that much effort. But this time, the reward for me was just completing the entire thing. But it left me very cranky for most of the day. I liked the quietness of returning to my little farm with my little goals I have for it.

I think it is different when you can expect specific numbers for each action. There didn't seem to by any rhyme or reason for the number of fireflies I got. I got only 9 fireflies after collecting 100 from my fertilizer silo. A few hours of unpredictable is okay, but I played that one part for nearly 24 hours total.

I'm guessing a lot gets factored into the firefly yields besides the player's level? Because I didn't see any gains from all the production I had waiting to harvest at the beginning of the fireflies, compared to what I worked during the many hours. Too much like work and not a game for me. While the other parts were fun, that final one has left me knowing I won't be participating in many events. I did use gold to end an 11 hour mill production because I realized after studying the numbers that the amounts were too random and a bigger production didn't always mean bigger firefly returns. The returns were sometimes, but not always, slightly higher.

Using temporary fields seems like a good idea, another way to manipulate within the games parameters, like using gold. I'd rather just work the farm I'm growing rather than manipulate it just for an event. I can see how GGS has sowed the seeds for a lot of people wanting to "buy everything" to get TOP numbers. Along with all the not-so-subliminal advertising that promotes a frenzied factory/slave consumerism.

When I visited the higher level farms, all I could think of is slave plantations. Conditions I'd never work under. 1984 comes to mind. As well as a few other things, after collecting the fireflies. Has me wondering to what end is it just a game.

You are doing the farm specialist level, which is not reflected in Prince Manish's spreadsheet. There is another thread with only the farm specialist tasks for each event. I'm sorry, but I don't have the link. For your current dilemma, you could also purchase apples. They haven't limited that option on our servers yet.

fireflies are harder to come by each time this event is on....i have 7 cows on 2 cycles and no fireflies..cherries 3 fields harvested 2 not a fireflie to be found.apples 4 orchards harvested 6 times for 1 lot of fireflies..overnight wheat on 5 fields not a single thing though corn im getting i field out of 5....its going to take forever...pigs nothing and eggs i coup out of 4 every 3rd harvest...so now the only fireflies im getting is from silo and composter and mill....so in 12 hours of working on farm + overnight my sum total so far is 91 fireflies...Yeh.
in previous events u got fireflies from cows and pigs and cherries but not now for me...oh well...back to the grindstone

I've found the most efficient way for getting fireflies is growing nonstop corn (one can try to combine this with missions) and grinding it nonstop on max amount - mostly for financial loss, obviously. The Mill gives fireflies almost without fail, so depending on your Mill level it's quite a factory. My Mill is currently at lvl 4, so practically I can make 30 fireflies per hour, and those from crop and other sources are just a pleasant bonus.
The same can be done with cabbage, timewise it's less demanding but I think also less profitable.

if you want fireflies use composter, silo, and windmill at max capacity
