It is game to have fun, to enjoy yourself and socialise with your co-op friends. You do this by earning farm dollars to expand and grow your farm. Real money can be spent to buy gold which means you need less patience as you can use it to expand and grow your farm faster
Like Rhon said this is a social game. But to answer your question you can not gain real money from this game,and there fore no real profit. The profit that is made in the game is in farm dollars, which is game money.
