Co-op donation back option

husthust Posts: 99
I can see there are lot of problems if there is an option that you can take back the dollar you donated in the co-op account. I don't want that. But it would be nice if developers introduce an option where you can take the money back within the first 2 minutes of donation. Because accidents happens. Just today one of our member accidently donated 21 million dollar. Considering she just joined about a week ago it is a bit hard on her.
Well we can't give her money back now, and applying subsidies level 'x' it is a lot money for the co-op. We might well use it to complete researches now.

I agree that people make mistakes.
I once donated 530k instead of 53k. went back to about 1k for myself :D
But I don't think there should be a possibility to take the money back.
What I would suggest, is a pop-up screen, do you really wish to donate this amount of money yes or no.
then you can double check and if you then make the mistake of donating way too much, well then, own fault!

what would help is check before you donate

i get that it is a horrible thing to happen to a player
but i think it's just a little bit dumb not to check what you are doing

it seems a trend to ask for a are you sure button for a lot af actions in the game
i don't get that just pay attention to what you are doing

    about your coop member
did she contact support and explain what happend
maybe just maybe they will help her
if not than it was a verry expensive lesson and i one she will never make again

Although she made a mistake and she has now converted some gold into farm cash. Maybe the coop could help her out by not expected her to pay anything more untill a agreed time is set . Say for example a month or two months. The coop will use that cash anyway so its not exactly lost, but give her a break from paying anything for a while.

I agree with Framer Tess, the coop should indeed give her a tax holiday for a while ;)... Also I have a suggestion, since we are talking about money. Why don't we think along the lines of a coop bank from where players could take short term loans just in case they need to. Say bt 10% of all the contribution they have made so far towards the coop fund? And they could only reapply for another loan if they have already repaid the first loan. Let there be a time limit for repayment and penalty on late payments too. That way players will be more eager to make these contributions, if they feel that the fund directly helps them advance their farms too. :)

I think if a player had made a donation of 21 Million (wow) they will likely regain their money back soon and the rest of the co-op should be paying attention to what they did to get that much. Maybe they should only have to pay in for a research spot if another is needed to initiate

--Ivy dollar--I'm sorry, but i don't like your idea--If player understand how the decos determine operating cost, there is no need for a loan.

Monica, its an idea that came into my mind cause i find many players reluctant to make these contributions as they feel they need more money to expand their farm or upgrade or to even buy decos. I do know and understand that decos determine operating cost but at lower levels where you hardly have land to put in new equipment let alone decos, especially since the new extensions of gourmet farm and flower farm where everything is too costly from the start players in my coop are more and more reluctant to make the necessary contribution. Anyways its just a thought.

Discussing banking is now going off topic. It has been discussed before so perhaps you could add your thoughts, whether for or against to one of them

    Here are two

Toetsoep and Ezio I do agree that keeping a good eye out on what you do is key. But mistakes happen, I also once donated a zero too much :) During my first coffee, a typo is easily made and really, I don't see all those zeroes clear then too, so whoops, there goes more money then I planned.
And well, then I shrug, cuss a bit and make the next cup stronger :) I like helping out the coop!

Ivy, it's a big pity that your coop members are like that. We also don't have a minimum amount that needs to be donated, so some people do more then others. Maybe if they get too reluctant, you need to talk to them about a set number for donations. I'm level 66 and donate 150k a day, but that might be a bit much :)
