something must be done, the drops rates are geared towards loss... and no amount of placating by GG's "yes squad of commentators" who seem to chime in with a "yeah it is random tee hee" every time someone complains will do.. the only reason i don't buy gold is that with all the randomness and Pay2Win in this game i have doubts that the money is just a waste.. adn GG dont seem to care about their users complaints..
I ofen catch them all in the first day just by playing my farms as I normaly playing... and if not on the first day, I always get the last bees on the second day (still by normaly playing).
Have you try sunflowers? - sunflowers is, as far I know 100% sure to drop 1 bee pr. field.
sunflower seeds are rare enough in this game and take 8.5 hours to grow... i have 6.5 hours left... but that's beside the point
my problem is that in this game there are mechanics that need fixing.. and random drops rates is one of them,
yes they are random but that doesn't mean they should be non existent.. the event should be possible if you spend all the time given running your crops.. after all these events are designed to keep you here and playing..
but to me hearing that you "usually have no problem and find all the bees on the first day.. its insulting.. its infuriating... you play normally? and get rewarded, whenever i see these smaller seed events i put extra effort in and pull my hair out cause i have nothing but struggle... this isn't fun... this isn't a game.. this is torture, this is GGames saying "oh you stayed up until 6am trying to get bees? well I'm not gonna give em to ya! but I'll give them to the person who just signed in for 10 mins while their dinner cooks" i bet if i pumped gold into the game they'd flow easily...
there is random drop with a positive possibility
& there is random drop with a negative possibility
the difference is with positive chance, you are guaranteed to get all the bees in the time limit provide you try,
with negative possibility, no matter what you do, you cant win, but because its called "random" you cant say anything.
ITS NOT FAIR OR BALANCED
Bees are notoriously tough to find, I usually have no problem with events, but that one is not kind to me either. Because I am compelled to finish events, I sometimes just use sunflower seeds & seaweed & complete the event in 30 seconds, because I know it will drive me crazy & yes, I do know that is insane, because the reward is worse than what I used, but what can I say, the satisfaction of it being done is worth more to me lol This time I did collect half of them before I cracked & went for the quick fix hehe 8|
I've had enough of this "game" this is the last straw... i give up.
good bye Big Farm community I have spend sooooo many hours soooo many 16 hours stretches just playing this game to get some form of progress..and this is how it ends...
enough is enough.
I think only few will call my playing it normally
I'm an old single retired man, so if i want to do that, in theory I could play 24/7... but of course I need to sleep and eat.. and ofen I simply take a break from the pc for rest my eyes and doing some real life things.
But I think I daily playing between 6 and 12 hours, depending how much I like to play and so on.
When I say I get the bee by play as I normally do, is planting corn, cabbage and so on depending what my farm needs... I'm totaly ignoring the bees... and hey suddenly I have them whitout try doing anything special to get them.
It would be a shame to give up your farm over an event, especially a minor one like the bees. Just do as Brian suggested for that event, farm as normal & if the bees show up, great, if they don`t, its no major loss as far as the rewards go for that event. For me the stress would be not completeing the event, so it doesn`t bother me at all to waste sunflower seeds or seaweed to get the job done, cos the way I look at it, those items are there to help me achieve what I want & I want to get 10 bees lol
The one good thing about BF is that so much of it is optional, play what makes it fun for you & skip the stressful stuff.
Exactly. It's what I love about this game. I don't play the temporary islands. On my second farm, I don't play the horses. If you don't like playing Piggles or Find the Bees or the weekly events, or George's Silo, don't do them. Lots of people don't do missions. Lots of co-ops don't take part in the championship. It's one of the best parts about this game.
Ehhh, do you play tempory farms on that farm where you don't play the horses?
- I f so, I may have to say I don't understand that strategy?
The horses and the temp. farm are connected in that way, it's from the temp farms you get the valuta to buy greenhouse seeds, and the greenhouse fruit gives a lot more horseshoes than the first 4 cargo rooms on the ship.
If you dont training and breeding the horses, it's a bad buisness to run the temp farms. - but ok, if you like run temp farm for the challenge in them or fun, that's another talk
If you want as fast as possible could train up and breeding your horses, the temp farms are a great help.
But ok, I think it's also possible you just feel your horse farm not yet are strong enough to run the temp farms? - Then I understand your strategy and find it wise.

And to add to it. I can still collect bees even after I already have full hive .
we had some issues with the bee event the last time it came around, it sounds like they might not be fully resolved yet.
Please take a screenshot of your game, with the full bee hive and time & date displayed in your taskbar to save for later (in case you might need to contact Support).
It could be that the game believes the last bee appeared already, while you're still waiting for the final bee to drop, so please keep collecting your crops and please report back if the next bee solved the issue!
In case the payout of the reward still doesn't work after another bee appeared, contact support and include the screenshot, to have everything documented.
Regards,
Steffi
Why so much confusion? Hmmmm
Anyone else had a similar problem?
Will update if another bee turns up, will plant sunflowers tonight to make sure I get it in the morning if it is indeed missing
This is absolutely normal. I have it this way every time the bee event appears (and the same with the Piggles event where you have to collect these herbs).
When the pop up appears (saying you just found all bees) and you get the roses or what else, you can be sure to have completed the event. It isn't necessary to plant more crops to find the last bee 'cause when the pop up appears, it is a sign you have finished the event.
