Blocking a player

If you have a player ignored isn't there a way that they can no longer apply to be a member of your cooperative? Sometimes you cannot always remember who you have ignored.
Thankyou

I am the leader of the cooperative, I have the person on ignore, therefore I believe they should not be able to apply to join your cooperative. Once you have a person blocked then they should not be able to get into your cooperative any way at all.

I believe this is a glitch that should be fixed.

As I have stated, I am the founder and leader of the cooperative so if I have someone ignored then obviously I do not want them in my cooperative. No it should not count if it is only a member of my cooperative who has someone on ignore. If they tell me what is going on and I feel that I do not want that person in my cooperative then I will put them on my ignore list too.

As to what the person who I have on ignore is shown, I am not sure. Maybe they are shown that they have been blocked by the cooperative leader.

Are you co-op leader? In which case you can remove them when you realise.

If you are not the leader you could ask the leader to do it

You have to move out that member
There is a list with your mail who you ignored. There you can find all the names of people you ignored.

Personally, I think this should go into Bugs/Technical issues. As a co-op Founder, I have found unfortunately some players (a minority) can be rude or aggressive or sexualised). Ignoring them is a must.

But there is a glitch that when you remove these players from your co-op and then "ignore them" they can still re-apply. I'm a busy co-op and DO NOT need to keep declining a player who is finding it satisfying to keep reapplying. Therefore an ignored player, if by a Founder of a co-op, should not be able to send emails nor be able to active the application button to the group. I believe that the developers need to look at this as the game grows or it will become a contentious issue later down the game. We want to enjoy the game not be harrassed.

rhon, I think with all respect Dolphin was trying to say it is a bug. Can it please be passed onto the developers for discussion. Cheers :)

So if I understand correctly: You're asking about ignored players automatically being unable to join your cooperative, right?

Okay, some follow-up questions: Does this only apply when you are the leader of said coop? What happens if you're just a member or a deputy and got the guy on ignore, should he still be able to apply? What should be shown to that player if he tries to apply, or should the application button just be greyed out for him?

Hi Latten thanks for answering. Harrassment is a concern. Founder's definately should have the ability. Co-op Leaders in my opion should also have the ability. If a player is singularly being harrassed then they need to communicate with their "leaders". But yes the button should be greyed out for someone who has been "ignored" by the co-op. Whether in the future you enable co-op founders to give levels of skills (tasks) to the deputies and co-op leaders as other games do, it may be a "tick" that the Founder gives permission to a deputy/leader as part of their task within the co-op. But all those in the leadership should be able to "see" who is being ignored. To lift a ban should be that of a co-op leader or founder only.

    Hope this helps

Yeah, that clears things up :) I will go ahead and present the idea to the devs, it sounds like it should be possible to implement, but of course I can't promise it'll make it in.

Thanks Latten, also had a serendipty moment, and thought part of this development if it went ahead was that any player coming into a group SHOULD NOT be able to read the previous chats within the group. Sometimes a player may remove themselves and decide they ahve changed their mind and the group then discusses the options of bringing them back or not... if they are invited back, they can then read that discussion. So chat logs should only BEGIN at the time of entry into the co-op. It something that in doing the formula calculations for the above, may be and added feature if its not to hard to complete.
