why cant 2nd farm be attached to 1st

I have been playing Gourmet farm for several days now and was wondering why the farm wasn't next to the 1st farm. It's very annoying having to leave one farm just to check if there is something thats need doing on the other one.
If they were next door they could still be on the same screen. you just have to move the mouse across to access 2nd farm. You would still only be able to build set things on each farm so nothing there will change.
To simple be able to take a quick peak would be wonderfull, as now i have to click on farm name, wait a bit, take a quick look, then click out again. Most times im waiting longer to get to Gourmet farm than i spend there. It must be a nightmare with 3 farms

    This happens due to how the program itself is set up. The different farms are, in programming terms, considered exactly this: Different farms. It's basically working the same way as if you would visit the farm of a friend, except you can interact with it.
    We're constantly working on getting the loading times as low as possible, but there will always be a little delay, until we are able to rework basically the entire software (which isn't happening in the forseeable future).

    I think (and I believe this has been mentioned in other threads) if there was a way to know, view, be alerted of what is going on with the other farms without actually visiting them would help a great deal. With the introduction of the 3rd farm, keeping track of production times is a bit of a hassle so it would be nice to know if something needs your attention or not.

    So is there a plan that we can somehow be notified that things are ready to be harvested on the other 2 farms?
    We now have the flashing green light in chat, surely something similar can be worked into the game as well for harvesting.
    To be honest I dont know how the game designers could have overlooked the need for this function in the 1st place?

    When we build something at the second or third farm, it is visible in the little brown screen, and the time left for the build also shows. isnt it possible to make something similar for the buildings needing to be harvested at the other farms ? Its getting hard keeping up on three farms now :)
