Would anyone have any suggestions on how to produce more dung--without using gold? Advice is greatly appreciated. :)

you can also click on workers bad to get the reward. In reward you will get dollars , corns , Dung , wild flowers but on single click. So , don't forget to collect your reward from the workers. You can get dung from them.

An upgrade would make more dung, but you would get more from a new building. For example a L1 pigstye adds 33 more dung, while an upgrade from L1 to L5 adds only 17 more dung total. Each upgrade step adds between 3 and 5 more dung.

The chicken coop, pigstye and cowshed all generate dung. Which one you choose depends more on your playstyle. A chicken coop will produce much more dung if you are there to collect every 13 minutes. Cowsheds are better if you log on only a couple of times per day. Pigsties fall in the middle.

If you don't have space to build a new stable, then upgrading would be your best option.

Getting another 'pooping building' is indeed the best way, which one, as Juniper already explained, really depends on your playing style.

In the beginning getting poop for the silo is very hard but that will turn around. I now am often full on fertilizer and kneedeep in poop :)

cedie with only one coop shed and pigsty it is hard to get enough dung for the orchards, what helped me was to build more later on one task is to have 3 pigsty anyway and didn't you already had a task to build a second chicken coop at your level??

Lol, the secret to successfull poop :D

I am not sure how I did it, and at what point I started to see a difference. I remember I didn't get the cherry orchard very early, cause it was released when I was already quite a bit ahead in the game. The cherry orchard wants a lot of fertilizer at once.
I think my problem with poop started to dissapear around the time I made a 3rd piggy barn. Around that time I had I think 2 cowsheds and 3 chickens.

    By now I have 3 cows lvl4, 3 pigs lvl4, 4 chickens lvl5 and one goat lvl1.
    I also have 4 apple orchards, 2 at lvl5 and 2 at lvl4, 2cherrys lvl4 and one almond orchard at lvl1.

And I am still making more poop then I can make fertilizer.

chicken coops make a lot of poop, but not for someone that turns them on and leaves for several hours. Chickens are great, but only if the person is going to constantly keep harvesting and restarting them constantly.

I am downsizing a bit. I don't see the need for 4 apple orchards and 4 cowbarns--now that i have completed the tasks--i don't see the need to have as many of them and i am less confined to stay within the limits of the game and now i can increase my profits again. Land expand could be in the near future, but i am certain that coops will be increased in number soon again too.
