If I buy a new computer, will this affect my game?

    No, not at all.

Make a note of your server (us 1) and your password.

A newer machine might make it play better. Quicker/faster transitions between farms and the map for instance

Sorry to pop your bubble, but it just doesn't happen. Last week, in the middle of the Easter egg challenge, my computer crashed and died. I went out and bought a brand new HP all-in-one desktop, with all the bells and whistles, even loaded with Windows 8 (which I hate!). So fast you don't "surf" the internet, you "fly" it! But this game still just plods along at the same old sloooooow speed!

May be you have not installed Adobe shock wave flash Player. If not install it quickly. Everyday scan your folders , drivers, software in your free time and delete all the virus. Make sure you have Windows firewall On for your web browser. Delete cache memory. Then play , game will work fast.

thenightlighter, I did say it might not for definite. It will depend on how much bigger/better the spec of the new 'puter is. I play on two different ones, one 5 years older and the difference between the two is astonishing

But I think the biggest limiting factor, especially with travelling between the farms, is your internet connection. At home I find it quicker to go from my Gourmet Farm to my Main by refreshing rather than travelling. But at my friend's house, on the same laptop, it's whoosh, instant to change farm. She lives in town with a super fast connection and I live more remotely with a slower connection

I know very little about the workings in a computer. I just use the stuff it does (play games, send emails, edit & store photos, listen to music, use the Office products, etc.) without really understanding most of the technical stuff. (Give me a break, I'm 60!)

Windows 8 comes with the latest version (11.6.602.180) of Adobe flash player already installed. Is that the same thing as the shock wave flash player you're talking about? The Windows firewall is on and I have software that scans all my files for viruses and prevents or fixes them. Geek squad would have to solve any other problems. I wouldn't know how to delete a cache memory if I found one in my back yard! But the computer has only been in use for a week, mostly just finding out how to do all the old stuff the new way that Windows 8 makes you do it, so how much memory could be cached there? I even upgraded my FIOS internet connection from 25 to 50 (don't know what exactly that means, they just said it would make my computer run twice as fast) and everything else on my computer seems to work really fast. I live in the middle of Orange County, CA so I would think my town would have the fastest connection available. This particular game still runs slow.

I will try the refresh thing & see if that helps. Any other suggestions to make it work faster? Thanks.

I have found that the longer the game is on, the slower it runs. It gets "sticky" and sometimes just plain stuck. If I go to control panel and click adobe flash and clean everything out, everything works much better. I think part of the slowness is my computer but I also think part of it is just the way the game is. Patience really is a virtue.

I still have to clear cache and cookies each time I want to log into Big Farm. Tomorrow I hope to find a geek online and then the struggle with my poor puter will start again...

Manish, if you have any suggestions for me, pleaseplease tell me :)
