"New Cooperative members now can't donate or participate in research for a short period of time. This was addes because a few Coops made a hobby out of getting new, clueless players to spend all their gold for research or donations, and kick them immediately afterwards. Guys, that's not cool!" - I can't believe someone would do that!X(
Will there be any information on how long that time is they can't donate? Is a quite important information in a way for any co-op lead to do the planning for upcoming researches.
And I'll love the zoom!!!! Remember there's been a thread in the early days of the forum
Oh Wow. I'm speechless. People can live with themselves afterwards?

Seriously? A third farm?
Actually, either side can be stung.
1) Members are enticed into a co-op, their collectibles and cash are extracted, and then they are unfairly kicked out.
2) Members join a co-op and then do nothing, taking all the benefits of the co-op, but contributing nothing.
The current implementation of a certain amount of time before a contribution can take place will not stop abuse 1 taking place, just take a little longer and frustrate the good co-ops who are not abusing the system.
If, on the other hand, it is swapped to stop members being kicked out for a certain amount of time, this could encourage abuse 2. Members know they can't be kicked off so just sit back.
I suggest a formula tied in with contribution and ability to kick off.
When a member joins a co-op, they can be kicked off at any time if they have contributed nothing.
Once they start contributing however, they can not be kicked off for an amount of time based on a formula to what they have contributed, perhaps on a percentage of overall contribution from members over a period of time, say a week, or it could be an absolute eg: each 10,000 cash or 50 gold buys you a day you cannot be kicked off; a fair formula would have to be nutted out.
A dollar amount could be hard for new people to contribute. If a newbie into a co-op cannot contribute for a "given" time then this drags the co-op backwards, this compounds the current complaints from members about sharing the load in their co-ops.
I think that the easiest way to deal with the "shameless" is to name them so people will avoid these co-ops and avoid this sought of problem.
Shame on the coops who did that to newbies after they spent their gold. NAME AND SHAME I say
Can't wait, whatever we get, but I don't think the third farm is coming in Monday's update
That's why I disagree with the implementation of this to "fix" the problem. Delays in contributions from new members will simply frustrate honest co-ops. They still haven't defined "short period of time"; however, I see from the latest post on the update that this feature is being delayed for now. Perhaps they are reconsidering it. Let's hope so.
New idea: No members can just be kicked off. Rather a period of grace is given to all members since they were last involved with co-op activity. This would be based on their current level. The lower the level, the longer the period of grace. This idea would affect all members, not just new ones.
Off the top of my head, divide the level number into 50. This is the number of days a member cannot be kicked off since last activity.
egs: a level 10 member would always have 5 days of grace since last activity, a level 25 would have 2, a level 30 would have 1 days 16 hours.
The co-op leader would see a countdown expiry time for each member. Those that have not exceeded their grace time can not be kicked off period. They are free to resign however.
NB: Activity would only be registered when the member clicks the co-op button within multiplayer. If they simply come online to play the game but ignore their co-op, it won't extend the grace period.
It appears that members are unable to donate gold if they are below Level 30. This is not right. If the game caps how much a member can donate based upon level, that would really help to share the load.
What we need are members who can and will participate. As for teams that are behaving so poorly, have any of the moderators contacted them? Why can't they be the ones to receive restrictions? Do all the other co-ops really need to pay the price of others?
These are matters that should be handled privately. While name and shame sounds like a good idea, both sides should be communicated with to determine the issue. The co-op should be shut down and the co-op leader should be restricted or frozen for a period of time.
A) For those that were kicked after donating, my sincerest condolences, that is disrespectful and just immoral. I find it interesting that there has been no mention of this within the threads. I read quite a few threads and have seen things mentioned time and time again with no response from anyone with authority stating they are going to fix the problem or to say we will continue in this manner so deal with it. So I find it suspicious that this is the issue they are dealing with and in such a drastic way. Seems to me this will push members to pay gold to keep their solidarity points moving forward in the ranks. Also more gold spending for research since some research projects need all members even new ones to be conducted. I love this game and I play every day, I even do not mind the charity event and other features designed to make money for the programmers and such. But, I do find this tactic of blaming players for them to find another way to make money rather insulting to be honest. Though, I am just one player and of no concern to them, so yet again, it will go with no answer or solution. So I will answer myself-deal with it.

Topherll, I'd just like to point out that just because the English forum hasn't had many posts from players where they've been treated appallingly by cooperatives doesn't mean that it's not the truth. There are quite a few forums in different languages where such posts could very likely exist and it's very possible that the issue has been raised with Support also. Many members don't have anything to do with the forums, but will take the problems directly to Support. Support will pass on anything like this to those that need to know.
Both scenario's are very legitimate and completely bypass the English forum.
