Main, Gourmet and Flower Farms
Thank you
George
I do not see or understand the reasoning. I would like to know why I can not use a decoration I have sitting in the main farm doing nothing with my other farms.
Appreciate an intelligent answer form GGS.

Wina
as much as we would like to enable you to switch decorations between farms, this very feature would be very easy to exploit.
Just imagine the following scenario:
A player has 3 perfectly balanced farms, put all the best decorations on their main farm and has no decoration on their gourmet and flower farms.
Why is that? Because he can simply move all the decorations from one farm to another before starting a production on the respective farm.
This would mean that you only need to set up one set of decorations and move them around between farms. Sounds tiresome? Well yes, it would be. But if you look for the most optimal way of playing the game, you would probably feel obliged to do just that.
Furthermore: even if we let you move small amounts of decorations e.g. once a week, this would devalue decorations a bit in general, because it wouldn't be as much of a tough decision where to put your freshly achieved new favorite deco if you could just move it around after a while.
So, yeah, sorry to disappoint you, but it's probably not going to happen. If it ever were, it would probably be event based and only happening very rarely. But we'll have to see about that as well.
mema2.7, you probably know that already, but you can still 'sell' all decorations in your inventory or dropbox, by placing them on your farm and demlishing them. I know it takes some time, but you don't neccesarily need to destroy them without any reimbursement.

Steffi
Your scenarie should be very easy to avoid.
If it should be possible to move deco's from one farm to another, it should not be possible to do it in few seconds or minutes.
I have 2 ideas for that:
1. Let a timer check how long time a deco have been in the storage. If a deco not have been in the storage in at least e.g. 24 hours or more, it can not be moved to another farm.
2. Give us a special deco-transport storage: Deco's put in that transport-storage will automaticly been transported to the other farms storage, and the transport time should be at least 24 hours or more.
Of course players being able to buy one gold deco and use it on multiple farms, because it's very effective and worth the potential waiting time is a reason that plays into it. But generally, since decos are an integral part of the game, and the entire game balancing, pricing and gameplay is built around it, we can't just add that big of a change to the game.
So yeah, won't happen for now.
If I build a dec from the drop box in one farm why is it then stuck in that farm?
Sad but true!

As Nafaru said, it just destroys huge parts of the basic game design, and even if there might be methods and tricks to build some kind of variant that might (!) work out, we're not planning on doing so any time soon.
So, thank you for your input on this, but it's not going to happen for now.
There are smaller decorations available, but they must be earned in temp farms (island, viking farm), or I think some of the decos like the scarecrow from the wheel of fortune are pretty small too. It just takes quite a bit to earn them.
Part of the not sharing decos between farms though is the strategy of the game, making determinations as to where to place them, etc. It is part of the game and I actually enjoy figuring that part out.
More decorations have come out in the game since I started playing, and the game continues to evolve and change as time goes on. So more new decorations are always a possibility.
also I have a lonely fairy tale tower on my main farm that would like to be reunited with its family on my flower farm.;(;(
Yes this has been mentioned many times, and that just shows what a popular idea it is. Years have gone by now, the design of Big farm is always evolving, so don't give up just yet. We are reaching the situation we need a more flexible approach with more choices than just using Greta to demolish decos. There are so many themed events happening it would be nice to gather all ones same themed decos on the one farm for example, in a special event. Posters who say things are not going to happen are not always right, even though they sound so authoritative, one would almost think they were employees of GG$.
The notion that people would cheat to do start up on one farm and then shift those same decos to start up the next farm is often quoted. A generous timer on shifting decos between farms would negate that argument, and that is also suggested elsewhere.
