The biggest thing I have found to make money is to get your happiness on your farm as high as you can get it. The higher your happiness the more of a discount you receive when starting production.

I found that in the early days I could make money by watering the co-op tree on everyone's farm daily...you get $200-00 dollars per tree. I also deleted some of my low happiness deco's and bought higher value deco's with the money I received after I deleted the lower cost ones. I did use some gold but only to buy land nothing else. keep at it your money will come if you have a good basis in your main farm. Patience is a virtue in the early days!
    Happy Farming!:)

Is there a way to sell a partial amount of a product exp. 100 pigs from 700 without decreasing from 700 to 100 by one click at a time?

By double clicking on the amount and then type the amount you want to sell. That is the fastest way to sell without clicking on the + sign a 100 times.

How do you get the mill to produce multiple feed ?

You can click on the + button to increase the amount of feed or you can click on the green arrow to make the max amount.

    hello,
I do not agree with the baking cakes..you will not earn on cakes as much as on selling apples, cherries, etc..
put everything on paper and calculate.

You did not use a quote, so its hard to see what you are disagreeing with, but if it is which bakery products are the most profitable, I would say apple turnovers, followed by apple pie, then cake then muffins..... But cakes are good for overnight.

Well at a lvl 1 bakery, I agree, some aren't cost effective, especially if you are in a Co-op with half the research done (that is basic things like Apples etc make extra, and Bakery Items don't). But that changes as you go up.

And I hate to disagree with Runs, but its my belief (and its also based on my Co-op's maxed research and my maxed bakery), that Muffins make the most per minute (including time to make ingredients), if you subtract what you could sell the ingredients for by themselves from the end profit. Fruit Cake with Cream is 2nd (starts poorly, increases the most each lvl of bakery). But of course, that's all predicated on turning things over as soon as they are done. If you are going to be away from the keyboard for about 3 hours from X point, but not 8 hours from x point, then likely the Pie will be the most profitable.

Of course, I'm not including the ship bonus profits, because its hard to calculate how often it asks for fruitcake, etc.

Now you made me go get my calculator out again lol .... Which is ok really, because since my last calculations, cake has dropped down to 4th place for some reason. Apple turnovers are still out in front by a massive amount though, so I`d be interested in your calculations. I also have maxed out Bakery & complete research, so that wouldn`t account for the difference, I didn`t include time taken to grow the ingredients, but that would only have made my figures even stronger as apple turnovers use the 2 fastest ingredients and cake uses the 3 slowest. I also tried deducting the production costs, but as my GF is running at -84% today, they made little to no impact at all.

My results (after deduction of sale price for basic ingredients) are ...
    Profit Per Minute:
    $229.68 = Cake & Cream
    $289.95 = Almond Muffins
    $292.23 = Apple Pie
    $787.62 = Apple Turnovers

Hmmm, looking at my spreadsheet, it does seem my #'s are obsolete. I guess I never changed them when the prices changed. Obviously a $60 increase/item on a 30 minute production is a much bigger deal than a $60 increase/item on a 100 minute production, etc. On top of which, I had a typo in my Almonds valuation line.

    I sheepishly withdraw my comment!

    -Y

Edit> One thing though... Eggs and Apples are two of the most Price per effort (effort being cost and time) efficient things out there... thus using them in turnovers is LESS of an advantage, than using say Milk and Almonds which have less value on their own. Sigh. I will have to redo my spreadsheet from scratch.

No need to withdraw the comment, I appreciate it as it made me look again at my own numbers & see that cake has dropped further in value. I try not to include things that have too many personal variables, so that the results are more revelant to most people, which is why I wouldn`t normally include production of ingredients, because, for example, I have full books for eggs & apples & low production costs, whereas I have no books for cherries & peaches, so for me, ingredients for apple turnovers have a clear advantage over those for cake. But as your bakery & research match mine, I will be interested in your new spreadsheet. ^^

Match, no. Resemble, yes. But to be honest, I stopped redoing my spreadsheet for the same reason I never updated it (took me awhile to recall.) And that is, it doesn't include many factors for over all success, and including them would take it well beyond my limits. Some of those factors include size of building, and workers required to make the productions.

was looking for this, i seem to be one of the few who gets rich off watering the coop tree each day, it may not sound like much but when u do a large coops trees and visit their farms wha-la you get a lot each day for nothing spent. as a side note: tell ur other members this too and see the dollars climb. Seeing your coops higher level farms will help u also learn how to set ur farm up as you grow larger yourself.

    HI  big farm
what can  i do to have dollars i always sells but i can't have money pleas help and let me know about this
    thanks you big farm

    Hi,
Check your happines. At the top of your screen, you should see a bar with a happy face and red and green area. The arrow should be in green area if you want to make any money. If it is not, buy some decorations or replace the existing ones with better ones. If you do not have enough money, keep growing and seling wild flowers until you get enough money for decorations. Note: when you buy a new house, your happines drops, so you have to buy a decoration together with the house to stay in balance. Hope this helps.

  • OK thanks you sir
  • how do I get more money
  • you have to be on the game more to get more money! like your workers will give you money!

how do I get more money
Keep the cycle of harvesting and selling what you produce going. Make sure that you have enough decorations on your farm to offset the unhappiness you get from your houses. That lowers your production costs. If you are very low on money, you can always grow wildflowers. They cost nothing to produce. :)
  • Hello, so I have been frequently spending money thanks to the new fishing update, and I am trying to buy another extension on my main farm AND my flower farm. They cost nearly $1,900,000 in total. Since I am saving about $1,750,000; this is not enough. I also am aiming for the barn, the farmhouse, and the windmill.

    Current spare money: $223,836
    Barn cost: $2,000,000
    Farmhouse cost: $4,000,000
    Windmill cost: $1,000,000
    Extension cost (main farm): $1,080,000
    Extension cost (flower farm): $850,000
    Total cost: $7,000,000
    GRAND TOTAL: $10,680,000

I tried selling summer bonquets, pasta gift baskets, and aloe vera; but I get little money from those compared to the big cost.

Please help! I need to get money BY THE MILLIONS!!

    Thanks,

BTW I should upgrade all of them by level 90.

First of all, you have a lot of wasted space on your farms. Rearrange your farms so that everything fits together tightly so you will have more space for decorations or production without having to purchase land right away. Make sure you keep you happiness up to keep the running costs down.

    Main farm:
Grow corn & make chicken feed while you're online. Don't forget to grow some wildflowers too as you will need them in your flower shop.
If you'll be away for a bit grow cabbage & make pig feed.
Grow wheat & make cow feed overnight.
Once you have a good cycle going where you can keep all of your animals fed all the time with feed to spare, add more animals to get more dung to keep up with your orchards.
Once you're able to keep all orchards running with fertilizer to spare, you can add more apples.

    Gourmet farm:
Grow dandelions while you're online & make goat feed.
If you'll be away for a while grow barley & make donkey feed.
Grow lamb's lettuce & make duck feed overnight.
Like I said above, once you can keep those animals fed with feed to spare you can add more animals to further increase the amount of dung you get.
If you're doing well with fertilizer you can add another almond orchard.
As for the bakery, just produce what you can when you can. Make the recipes that take less time while you're online & make the longer ones while you're away or overnight.

    Flower farm:
I see you have a level 2 flower shop. Level 3 will unlock at level 46 so you can start preparing for your new recipe.
Grow jasmine throughout the day & make essence of jasmine in the distillery. Grow lavender overnight or during the day if you'll be away for a while & make essence of lavender in the distillery.
Make wildflower bouquets in the shop while you're online and able to harvest them every 45 minutes. Make summer bouquets if you'll be away for a bit. The pasta gift basket or summer bouquet can be made overnight.
Once you upgrade your shop to level 3 you can make floral perfume overnight or while you're away.

Now, just keep the cycle going & you will see that you're making money & eventually you will be able to afford the upgrade costs for what you need. Its a process that takes time but as you progress more in the game your profits will increase. Don't worry about having everything upgraded all at once. Make a plan for your farms & upgrade the most important things first.

As a side note, and this is totally up to you, it may be a good idea to try to fill up your barns with everything you can and just sell the excess in case they run the Santa's wishlist event again this year. ;)

    Awesome suggestions @jess_d (US1)
This is a long term game not a race. It will take time and work to get your farms built up. Like Rome it will not be done in a day, a week, a month or even a year. Heck I have been with this game for over 3 years and I am not finished building up my farms yet ;) So hang in there and just "Keep on Farming"

    My happiness is near 300.

Okay, so I did some research, and as I found, apple orchards give me money at a rate of

    $5,306.666.../hr

I have a TON of almond muffins.

    $300/each

So here's a quick cost on how much I'll earn. These are for every 1,050 items I sell.

    Wildflower bonquets: $131,250
Summer bonquets: $184,800 (I usually have TONS of summer bonquets)
    Pasta gift basket: $210,000
    Romantic bonquet: $525,000

Erm.. okay you told me a lot there.

Okay, so I'm trying to make pasta gift basket as often as I can, but they require 252 eggs and 280 wildflowers
    !!

I can't build a distillery because it requires 30 workers, and it takes up a lot of space. I am also not so good at fertilizer, as I have FOUR orchards!

So I can only make up to 60 fertilizer at a time, which makes it impossible to fertilize all of them at once.

So I found out that chickens make 1 dung every minute.

    39 dung, 13 minutes, 30 chicken feed. 84 corn.
156 dung, one hour. 120 chicken feed. 336 corn.
    Pitch the pigs in, and...

    39 dung, 13 minutes, 30 chicken feed. 84 corn.
156 dung, one hour. 120 chicken feed. 336 corn.
431 dung, two hours. 270 chicken feed. 20 pig feed. 756 corn. 112 lettuce. 20 fertilizer.

So, yeah, my animals aren't very productive, as I don't earn much dung. I need to think about it later on.
