Will the 'exclusive reward you can only get for completing this event' actually be achievable without spending gold?

I reckon so, depending on the size of your farm and how active you are. If you have a small farm, you'll need to be more active since there seems to be a ratio of how long a field/cow shed/windmill etc is working to the number of eggs dropped. Given the event has around 450 hours, you need around 30 per day to have a chance of making it though. I'm getting more than that at level 25, so I'd say it is definitely possible!

The idea with the E eggs is really great... reminds me daily that Eastern is comming... love the way the eggs are popping and looking forward for the lovely birds house... spring time means sun guys... and that is always good for harvesting... right... sigh...

Good event - thoug I would have liked if there had been 3 steps with 3 prices so everybody would have a chance of winning a price, small og large.
I'm not sure that I can reach 500 eggs i level 29, as I have only 60 now and I'm quite active on the farm...
But lets draw a breath and wait and see!

I do like the game and the making of the game costs..so the time that I bought gold was for me to know that when I buy a game in the store I pay for it to
The 500 eggs are fair enough. yes you do have to play a lot, but heey...it is fun isn t it??
With the bees I did not make the amount. But now with the eggs I do!

I think that is weird, that you have so much more eggs than I or maybe you only grow high prize seeds...?!!!

I agree. I hope I can reach 500 - I'm just about averaging 26 eggs a day (the amount you need for 500 eggs in 19 days), but if I end up with 490, I would have liked to have something to fall back on, even if it was just some dollars or a bit of gold. (Of course, if I do end up with 490 eggs, I'll probably buy the last 10 for 250 gold.)

Incidentally, 12,500 gold can get you 500 eggs without you having to plant/harvest/produce a single thing. Hmm...

For comparison, I've got 234 eggs and I'm finished playing for today. I'm level 29, 9,349XP, 1,235,283 Cash & 2,075 Gold and I play intensively. I use the most profitable product chain of corn->coop->dung->fertiliser->apple orchard when I'm at the computer which has given me the majority of the easter eggs. For about the first 20 harvests of each crop or production facility I've got an egg each time, after that it slowly goes down and remains at about one egg every five harvests, so the quickest way to get eggs would be to harvest flowers - I choose not to because that would reduce my profit by two thirds when I can easily get to the total of 500 easter eggs without changing the way that I play.

I find variety is the key. Don't just stick to one or two things, but do a bit of everything. So for example, rather than just plan corn and feed chooks all day, plant some corn, mill the corn and feed the chooks while you plant cabbage (instead of more corn), then run the cabbage through the mill and feed the pigs. Before going to bed each night, plant every field with wheat and run the wheat from the previous night through the mill. When you go back to your farm the next day, collect your wheat and cow food from the mill. And start the process all over again - corn, mill, feed chooks, plant cabbage etc. Your eggs will all add up from this.

i have been doing that but as yet i have not got any eggs from the apple orchard or the composter. i have counted i only get 1 egg fro every 8 goes of the mill. I am producing wheat, cabbage and corn, the silo is also not giving up many eggs. i think i have been getting 1 egg for every 5 - 6 goes. im getting the most from wheat produced but i dont think i will make the numbers needed. i think you would have to be on it day in day out.

Lois, I don't really get any from the apples either. But I have found if you collect up your leaves and make more than 1 hummus in the composter at a time, there's more chance I get eggs that way. I very rarely get an egg from the composter if I only make 1 at a time. I have found this with the mill and silo too. So I try to make the maximum amount. Not sure if others are finding that, but might be worth a try.

Perhaps my impressions are wrong, I'll try to keep a count of what I'm getting as I play as I have a similar sounding set up and game play to you and soneeya. My player name is Daytona if you'd like to see my farm.

I haven't done a detailed list of what I have received, but generally I'm getting eggs from everywhere. Initially, eggs came almost every time from the longer running equipment - silo, composter, orchards and wheat. The windmill was occasional as were the pigs (actually less eggs from pigs than I expected), eggs and other crops. Today seems slower generally, I don't know if they've altered the algorithm!!

I don't know if the happiness factor in your farm has anything to do with the speed the eggs come. Mine is quite high (I think) with 57% reduction in running costs.

i just went back on to game for just under 2 hours thisafternoon and all of a suden got 20 eggs..still only one fro hen house but silo now making eggs and only pis pen level 4 the only one to give easter eggs (every second time) cow giving one every time and you get a lot from wheat. now corn giving out 1 egg evert 7 fiels. where before none for 4 hours play. in past i have played in morning before work bt you getter better results in afternoon

my happiness level is +103 with -60% running costs. at start eggs flowed quiet freely as well and was getting a lot from chickens and the mill. every compost at start was giving an egg. (i have had 8 composts done today and not one egg) 12 silos for 1 egg....i will do another trial tommorow both in morning and night to compare

I am level 36, i have 239 eggs now, although i had to update my windmill and have been anxiously waiting for 18 hours without being able to get any eggs or produce anything. Updating the windmill is the worst part of this game, because there is nothing to do when waiting for it to be ready. The next update will take even longer ...auchhhh ;), but at least i will try to get the 500 eggs before that . Good luck to you with finding the eggs...hope you manage to :)

Hi Lois, if you click on the composter, then the produce hammer, next to -1+ it has a small green button. Just click on that and you can make the maximum. If you have a level 2 composter, and you save up enough leaves, you can make up to 4 hummus at a time. I usually make 2 or 3 at a time and I have recieved an egg each time. Hope that helps.

    Hi all!

I'm already finished the easter eggs event and would like to advise something for you all.

The roses seed is best! If you have the roses seed you will always get 1 easter egg per 1 roses seed.

The silo is great! You can get a lot of Easter eggs from silo and if produce much you will likely get a lot more Easter eggs. I've got 8 Easter eggs at once from production of fertilizer 18 units.

The apple orchard is cool! You will get 1 Easter egg everytimes you harvest a few apples.

The coops and corn fields will be suitable with the diligent harvest players. You will get many Easter eggs from the coops and corn fields if you are diligent harvest

For who has perseverance wildflower fields will be suitable with you. You will get a lot of Easter eggs if you non-stop to harvest wildflower

The cowsheds and wheat fields is nice but take for long times.

Hopefully this will help you to get more Easter eggs :D

I am also not having too much trouble with collecting eggs, i am just running my farm the way I always do harvest all animals and making feed for everyone. Maybe your happiness and running costs have something to do with it, who knows, but my running costs are at -98. My suggestion to all is to get your happiness up so you make more farm dollars when producing items. Most of my co-op are well on their way to getting the eggs and all their happiness is way up :)

I agree with the hints to do as many units at the same time when you mill, compost, etc. Of course the larger your farm the more likely you can reach the goal. Just like in the real world, the larger the farm and the more work (time) you spend on the job the more rewards...if you are lucky you have family to help work your farm as I do...many fingers make the load lighter...lol. Was able to get our reward at 3:30 a.m. Chicago time today! Good luck and God bless every one...stay safe.

Having completed the task, this is my experience of the number of harvests and time taken to get an egg -

    Growing flowers 38.7 mins *
    Growing corn 66 mins
    Silo 76 mins
    Mill corn 81 mins
    Chicken coops 85 mins
    Apple orchard 180 mins
    Mill wheat 220 mins *
    Growing cabbage 248 mins
    Cherry orchard 360 mins
    Pig sty 385 mins
    Growing wheat 386 mins
    Mill cabbage 465 mins *
    Cow shed 480 mins
    Composter 640 mins *

The results marked with an asterisk (*) have insufficient datas to be accurate.

The results match the profitability of each crop & production unit, so the task is showing people the most profitable way of farming...or it could be the other way around; the most profitable way of farming is showing people how to complete the task as quickly as possible. The trouble is that this also requires the most effort from the player having to reseed flowers every 2mins, or every 5mins for corn.

Growing flowers would be the quickest way of completing the task if you didn't have a mill, chickens, silo or orchard, but since I imagine the majority of people have these, rather than standing idle, they can be run simultaneously, generating double the amount of easter eggs than from cropping flowers alone.

Happiness varied from -28% to 107% and it didn't seem to make a difference. I wasn't counting when I harvested my overnight jobs so they may be more hence the greater than or equal to symbol (>=). Multiple milling jobs are indicated with ~ because I'm unsure which part triggered the egg/s, + indicates that I was still waiting for an egg when I completed the easter egg hunt and the easter eggs stopped appearing.
