Well, first of all I would like to say that this thread (and its title) were inspired by knaves :)...in this page I will post a couple of ideas that I read around the forum. After that I will just let this thread be free for you to post your ideas ...

1)Catalyste suggested different ground textures such as grass and the option of changing them.
2)Ivan suggested that there should be a button that would automatically take a print screen of your farm
3)A huge amount of people have suggested that we should be able to donate collection items partially for co-ops
4)Vigiux suggested that there should be an automated sell system

well, these were some MAJOR ones I saw sorry if because I missed alot of your threads
:):)

I think you should link our threads into your list so that the staff reading it can view the whole suggestion. :)

    Here's mine. http://en.board.goodgamestudios.com/bigfarm/showthread.php?47040-New-Farm-Option-Idea

    Hmm.

But this is a real official whole forum for suggestions

If every suggestion has it's own thread then the suggestion can be discussed, refined and improved.

One thread with a hodge podge of ideas would be a bit of a mess to unravel

Then maybe this thread can be used to highlight some really good suggestions so that the staff has a quick listing instead of searching the forum to find them? I mean, this is basically a feedback board that also houses Praise and Criticism, so I think it'll be nice to just have a mere reference listing stickied in one place. :)

Automated sell option is really needed, but only after our storage is maxed. I hate having to sell apples after two harvests, but I wan't to be able to have a full barn if I want to do a sell mission.

Plan B is to give us level 5 barn so we can hold more and maybe only have to sell after 3-4 apple harvests.

thats a good idea my friend in the co-op gave the exact same idea

here is another awesome idea by Rock.me.amadeus:)

    So, I have a problem...
I have enough space for 1,200 items, but I have filled up my space for cow feed and pig feed.
I also have six cow sheds, and four pigsties. I don't like wasting things, but I also don't like seeing my windmill unused (especially for long periods).
It would actually mean the world to me if I could donate some of this feed to some people in my coop. They need feed, I have too much. What more could I ask for? :/

I'm not sure how much of a problem it is for some people, but for me it's been going on for a few days now, and I don't have any more space for new cowsheds...

    Thank you for reading this!

another good idea by an equally good big farm farmer can be read here

Can we Please save the bees for the next time they arrive? Clearly LOTS of people are getting very upset for not finding them--this time I might even be one of them 3 more to go in 15 hours ?? If there is to be an arbitrary timer, that is fine i guess--but why make people start over at bee Number 1 again?

I am adding a poll to draw more attention to this suggestion. I think it is feasible to include since the same can be done on other GGS games--like the Alchemist in GGSEmpire.

Please feel free to voice your opinion, but be respectful to others~thanks

    it is by monica:)

    another gr8 idea....by ivan
I've just made PrtSc (print screen), because I wanted to post the pic of my farm. So I realized I did it with Zzz. So I did it again. Now the upload, etc. Yes, you know where Im going with this.
It would be great to have "take picture" button and by clicking it, we would have picture of our farm as vieved when someone visit it.
Then we just come here, click the past option on our right click and ta-da!

    What you all think?

    :)

My suggestion is to be able to have a shared storage space for co-ops. There has been talk on other threads about being able to gift excess produce and farm needs to others in the co-op.

How I see it working is that barn/storage space would have to be researched. Each level would give more space for items.

Those with excess of for instance wheat or dung could drop it into the shared space. Then anyone in the coop who feels the need for it could grab it.

I see it as a total space for items combined rather than equal space for each type of item as we have on our farms.

If, for instance, level 1 of "Shared Barn" gives us a space of 50, that would be the TOTAL of all items combined - maybe 12 wheat, 10 fertilizer, and 28 dung.

this is an awesome idea :) i totally agree

I wish the options button would stay open longer. Really annoying to have to click it open and click on 'off music' and then reopen options and click on 'sounds'...

Also is there any way that my screen size can be kept the same when I am going from farm to farm?? For example, If I am playing my game in the 'reduced' screen size and I go to another farm, I have to resize the window. When you're in a competition it takes a lot of time to go look and then resize the farm.....

Question: why are these the "official" suggestions? Aren't there plenty of others discussed in this forum not on your list? (I'm just wondering out of curiosity.)

well, to be honest a board manager wanted an "official" list that he could make a sticky out of which would contain the best suggestions and also the most frequent criticism and complaints.......:)
and i do read every thread but some of them are just altered words to the same topic:)

Cool... so what you're saying is that whether something makes it onto the "official" list is based on what you have reviewed?

(I agree that some suggestions are similar to other ones, but there are also ones where people have said the same thing that seems to miss the point of the game, and even if a lot of people say that, presumably that sort of stuff would not make it onto your list.)

well, actually this thread was intended for people to post their favorite but since no one did that i had to post a lot of them :) and don't get me wrong im not some mean guy laughing while reading comments yelling LOSER! i read each and every thread but the ones that are the simplest and good i post them here :) these are only my opinions and you are free to post your favorite threads :):) hope that helps

I think it would be great if the server could some how file all those "I'm looking for a co-op" posts in to the proper thread. There is a thread that was created just for that, but I don't think the moderators should have to move all those posts themselves.

I like most of the suggestions made here on your 'official' page.

Easygoinginfl wrote a really good post on how to get into a cooperative but not too many have read that or some have posted to it asking for admission into a co-op. http://en.board.goodgamestudios.com/bigfarm/showthread.php?53167-So-you-want-to-join-a-cooperative....

Also......... and the mind suddenly went blank..........and I can't remember what I was going to suggest :(

I am in ABSOLUTE agreement on partial donations of Collection items for Coop projects. There is absolutely no reason that it has to all come from one player. That is, technically, the entire point of a Coop. We pool our resources and not all resources are money and gold. In the case of this game, it also includes collection items.

Changing the background, that's a cosmetic issue. It really won't affect gameplay, just creates problems for developers, but I could see that as a possibility in future upgrades. It would be cool.

I could see serious problems with an automated sell system, unless it was programmed to only auto-sell items over your storage limit. In that case, it would be great and most helpful.

As far as the "print screen" button, there is one on your keyboard. It's usually up by the F12 button. Push it and open Paint, click on "Edit" and paste. You can take a screenprint of anything on your screen using that method, regardless of what you are doing. That is one thing that the developers don't need to waste their time on.

    1. I agree with many that if you are part of a coop, that you should be able to pool your stamps together to complete the collection requirements to start the project. That we should be able to donate collection items partially for co-op. Otherwise the only one pretty much that can start the projects would be the farmer highest in rank because it goes without saying their farm is usually bigger. Then why join a coop. if you can't pool your resources.
    2. I would be very helpful to have a skip the task button if you cannot attain the goal. I have one member that has been in our coop pretty much from the beginning and cannot post any stamps because they just aren't high enough, and would just like to get rid of the task.
    3. The game's speed is indeed verrrrry slow! This gets very frusterating.
    4. My biggest question is does anyone in the programming of the game, be it Latten or anyone really read and take our suggestions to heart? Time will tell i guess.

well, I fully agree with the first and second suggestions now onto the others

about the game speed : latten said it would be fixed in the update on Monday :)
about them reading: even though they don't reply to each thread doesn't mean they don't read them :)
