@ttt34 (INT1)  I do use machinery, every 3 hrs, I do premium and greenhouse humus.  I do them when I harvest my apples.

Yes, but the alternative is to put you by yourself and I, for one, hated solo missions with a vengance. I'm 198 but frequently find myself against players producing 10 or20 times as much as me wih the use of gold. I see it as being similar to running in a marathon, I can't come near the elite runners but I can sure try to pass wnoever is infront of me.  :¬D

because the shelving is supposed to be based on what your farm can produce in 29 min so it does not necessarily go based on level maybe the higher level player mostly buys there crops to make feeds so they only have 2 level 2 fields and a lower person has 4 level 2 fields that would mean that the lower level person could make more in 29 min then the higher level farm so they would need more to shelve it i hope this made sense next time you see this happen go take a look at the persons farm and see how they compare to you in the mission you are doing also you never know what the higher level person is going to do or how they play yes normal it is not fair but i am like level 114 and i usually eathier do not really play the missions or during the coop championship i just speed 1 thing of special seeds up so i can get some points so usually level 30 people are always betting me but i have never cared about coming in first

The higher the placement, the higher the machinery certificates" is perfectly true but it is also true that the higher the total harvested in the mission, the higher the pot of certificates to be shared out. So coming second in the above mission will have scored many more than coming first in the same mission but with Byron excluded.

    How is this mission fair?

Why you don´t use your certifikate for farm machines? You have in storage 143.410 certificates!

by the way, that's a good view. With CC competition you wil have even biger diferences.
  • ijrosh (US1)ijrosh (US1) US1 Posts: 1,325
there is no possible way to make it fair.everyone builds there farm differently people buy different books at different levels or no books at all then some use gold others do not and then there is seaweed and super stuff
  • I think the missions are unfair for players because it is impossible (most of the time) for a lower level player to reach 1st ranking when they are put against a player who's level is a lot higher.

Can it be possible for missions to played according to the level of the player? Similar to the HWE where players are separated according to levels, missions can be separated too. A range of level 1-20 players in a mission, level 21-40 in a separate mission. It will probably take more time to find enough people to participate in a mission but I think it is better that way.

It used to be more like that.
    Result?
We frequently played missions in which we were the only player and threfor scored very little RP.

It actually works great if there is a high-powered harvester in missions.  For instance someone level 300+ harvests 30,000 wildflowers (first place), then the others in the mission who are less than level 200, maybe even less than level 100 will of course harvest less.  The thing is in this case to come in 2nd or 3rd because the 2nd place gets 50% of the reps that the 1st place got, 3rd place gets about 30%, 4th gets about 25%, and 5th gets 10%....So I welcome the big high-powered farmers so long as I can come in 2nd or 3rd.  For example: If I were to come in first with 6000 wildflowers I would maybe only get 6800 reps, but if I came 2nd with the same 6000 harvest while the 1st place had 30,000 harvest, I would end up with 12,000+ reps....So look on the bright side of things please!  Those high-powered farmers actually work for our good.

I never knew what the breakdown was for coming in 2nd, 3rd, etc.  Thanks for posting this!

You are welcome....I read something about this breakdown in the forum...afterwards I never again felt intimidated or defeated in spirit when I found myself in a mission with a farmer who was at a level way above my own and who was producing astronomically above and beyond my own capabilities.

That's the way I look at it now, too.  Now I have an incentive to try to finish a little higher when I can.

Well written Knaves.   Gold use and probably Seaweed, is the cause of so much frustration for people doing missions.  GGS encourage and promote players to build and upgrade their farms. Many of the sidebar tasks actually base the reward on completing the next expansion slot.  Allowing people to use gold or seaweed sort of defeats the purpose.

I agree that players should be free to choose, and as per your suggestion, 2 tiers would allow for this.

People argue that gold is necessary for the ongoing development of the game - maybe.  I wonder what would happen if all non gold users just said , enough, the game no longer gives enjoyment and left.  Would GGS still have a viable platform on which to base the game?

I am sure their are smarter people than me who have done the numbers and conclude that the current model is the right one.  From a players perspective it is most definitely not enjoyable being beaten by a player who simply buys their way to victory - where is skill in that .

Finally, yes, it is good to have these comments all in one place.

I no longer bust a gut for the missions and am just plodding along for this game...

Also, you will win far more RPs with a player like that in first place, than you would if you were in first place with your usual number of eggs.  The higher you place, the higher the percentage of RP points you win based on the collective total.

  • So I won a mission, right. And the game crashed and I didn't get anything! Am I the only one this happened to? What do I do? I sent them an email and don't really think they would reply. I'm so not happy about this happening.
  • Check the tent to see your RP, had it changed since that mission ended? Also check inventory to see if certificate amount changed? These would likely be what they will ask as a step in support. I have had that happen, my items did go up as I checked after a reload of game. Hope it gets fixed if yours didn't.

  • @Jedd (US1) If your game crashed after you got the pop-up saying that you won, you should already have been credited.
  • I just got put into a mission to collect milk, but I do not yet have any cowsheds on my farm. Which means it would be very hard for me to take part in this mission.

I would like to see this changed so that you are given missions you have a fair shot with. :)
  • Southern (US1)Southern (US1) US1 Posts: 3,268
Sorry, but if they did that, then there would be people out there that would demolish all their cow sheds, pigstys and fields, and have nothing but chicken coops so they would get nothing but egg missions.

    Not gonna happen.

If you need to skip a mission that you don't have the stables for, use the Stackmaster Tractor to skip the mission.  If it's in cooldown, you just have to wait out the 30 minutes.

It kinda already does that @TheMystique (US1)  in that it will it won't give you missions for things that you are not yet able to build (but it does assume that if you can build it then it's up to you to do so)   :¬)

I think every single mission I've ever had has been for something that any basic, beginning farm can build. :)

@TheMystique (US1) I took a quick look at your farm -- you have room for a cowshed if you rearrange your farm a bit using the outline mode.  You have some wasted of space right now.  (Presuming you have the workers, money, and interest, that is.)  Some people want nothing to do with milk production, and that's fine.  As you level up, a missed mission now and then won't matter that much if cows aren't your thing. :)

Do you already have max level of all tractors?  The temporary farm trader now has tools.  I can get 70-80 tools at the end of every temporary farm.

Did the chance of getting missions for milk, eggs, and pigs get lower in the coop championship trophy update?
  • dchen1 (US1)dchen1 (US1) US1 Posts: 993

Somehow got 53022 milk but in 4000th place.  Someone has 24 million milk!
  • June568- Missions are not fun to play anymore. I am at level 93 and am grouped with three or four other players that are at 253 or 343 level, I have no chance to win top player. So why play, If you do not have a chance with players of close to the same level, There is no use doing them. Waste of good time.Something needs to change,

I agree.  We all agree.  Not fun, for the most part.  However, once I learned it is more about the number of Reputation Points you earn than being top player, I am okay with it.  Let's say you're doing a milk mission.  You are in first place with 500 or so.  Some top player or heavy gold spender shows up and blows you out of the water with 2,000 milk.  You will end up with quite a lot more RP points being in second place than you would if you ended up in first place with just your 500 milk.

A lot of us just do one daily mission for the daily bonus $ (shelving as soon as we can), and do what we can during CCs without killing ourselves.

Sure, they aren't much fun the way they are set up now, but it is what it is.
