I would like to be able to send extra items to team members who might need them--especially decorations that I don't use.

This has been hashed and rehashed so many times...

One suggestion should be VERY appealing to GGS, however. The ability to buy gold for other players directly from GGS.

The only way to do it within the rules now is to go out and buy a gift card then share the card number with the person you want to gift. That person can then buy gold from his own account. Or go buy something cool at Amazon...

My way ensures that the purchase goes directly to GGS, with a lot less hassle for the farmers.

Personally I am glad there is no way to share gold. For every generous kind hearted person out there, there are as many, if not more, that are ready with a fake sob story to take advantage of them. As much as you think you know people online, you don`t really have a clue who you are dealing with & though I am not easily shocked, I have often been left speechless at the depths that some people online will sink to, in order to con others out of their hard earned money. I don`t think that any game should make that easier, let alone encourage it.

I agree that it would be nice to be able to give other players "help" now and then in the form of farm products (not gold - I agree with Runs), but it would need to be capped at some small amount and limited to only say once a day, etc. Otherwise, our bigger farms could help smaller leap frog too quickly.

First: thank you for being open to suggestions and taking the time to read them. :D

My suggestion regards the team missions.

For the team/co-op missions we gather "components", like:

    5 eye of newt
    3 dragon breath
    17 game developer finger clippings

(obviously not those *exact* ones ;) ) ...and then a leader or deputy clicks to start, and the challenge to collect %whatever is on. The problem begins when the pile is more like this:

    8,450,000 old cell-phones
    4,200,980 cracker crumbs
    2,000,013 bat wings

...and the reason this is a problem is because it's mean to bats and also because the way you have the game coded, ONE player has to contribute the entire pile for each component... in this case, some ONE person has to gather - for example - 8,450,000 old cell-phones.

Please change this so that it is more of a group effort, so that team members in the co-op can work together to provide the 4,200,980 cracker crumbs, etc.

I believe this has been suggested before. ?( Some thing like a co op storage that members could donate what they could and when there is enough of the item then it could be used toward a project.

See post end of page 1, not going to happen. As stated, rebalancing would then require we all need to collect even more than we do now.

I would really like to gift some of my excess gifts earned by completing events to my cooperative members to help them grow their farm, but it appears there not a way to do this yet, but it would be a fantastic idea don't you think?

I think we should be able to donate decorations to other members of our co-op or be able to gift them.:)
I think we need more recipes-food items to produce in bakery. add more variety.:) We need more than 4 food items to be interesting.

I would like to suggest being able to gift unused or excess decorations to other members. I have several event (castles, waterfalls, tiki castles etc...) that would be nice to gift to newer hardworking members of my cooperative that could use the decorations.

That is a great idea. Right now, I build ( to squeeze the XP out of them), tear down and use the "Parts" to build up the value on my favorite decos. A few of my newer coop members could use them though.

    :)

Has been suggested over and over again since 2,5 years .... numerous times! Won't happen because it is the purpose of the game that you make your own farm dollars by farming actively on your own farms and planning your own strategy. It wouldn't be fair if some low levelled farmers could easily get their items/decos from their higher levelled co-members, right? Because the farmers from the very beginning of the game worked very hard to build up their farms and the newbies should do the same....

It would take out the very backbone from the game and make things far to easy for some players.

and - now that we have Gretta, you can just tear down your decos and use the parts to upgrade your favourite decos which are to stay on your farm.

I know that the name of the game is to make goodgame as a company more profitable. I think this maybe the real reason. It's ok, I do understand. I just think it could be a way to reward hard workers within a cooperative, without using my very, very limited income and resources... and it never hurts to re-suggest.

I think everyone would agree that its nice to be nice, but it would be a pretty boring game if we all sailed through it easily, got a fully upgraded farm, making lots of cash...Then what?... The game is all about the strategy of trying to get a farm running smoothly within the limitations set & upsetting that balance in some ways wouldn`t be doing the new player any real favours.

Of course there is another problem, decorations unlock at certain levels, so the only ones that would be of any use to a new player, would be the ones they can already get for themselves. Anything higher they would not be able to build on their farms.
  • me and my members think, that in game should be this possibility that we can buy or sell things to eachother.

  • I definitely agree with this. My sister had loads of milk that I needed, and I had loads of chicken feed that she needed. It would be much easier if we could swap.
  • Hi, I do not come on here very often so I am not very familiar on how the forum works, sorry.
I was wondering if it is possible to gift a player farm equipment or items like that. Or even gold or money.
It would be better if you could message me on the game under my name kinderspirit because I do not know how to get back here.
    Thank you!

Yes you can gift players. There are items one can get when the "Naughty & Nice" twins are visiting. These can be used to help and or hinder an others farm. This should help

Just want to clarify, ONLY NAUGHTY & NICE ITEMS CAN BE GIFTED, nothing else (money, gold, farm equip, etc)

    Good point kbahr :)
  • One suggestion might be to let small farms under a certain level to transfer their collectibles to designated Deputies to fill the required projects. This would keep the more successful Co-ops from running far ahead of the smaller CO-Ops. and at the same time inspire all Co-ops to take on smaller farms.

Remember,  that when a small farmer gets discouraged with their participation worth, they can loose enthusiasm in the game and leave Big Farm altogether.

You also have to keep in mind that the company sells collectibles for gold. They won't let us share collectibles because of that fact.  :)
  • Lesley52 (GB1)Lesley52 (GB1) Posts: 1,590
I think main reason players cannot club together to get collectables is gold.  GGS sell them if there is a short fall and also have "Hot deals" involving them. If playiers could club together to start projects, GGS would lose some income
  • I agree. Its the best solution for the co-op to efficiently coordinate which projects to start and when. Giving the leader the authority to give this project to coordinate the collectable gathering to a deputy and post which collectables were needed to start projects would be better.

How do we ask Big Farm corporate for this fix is a problem as I see it.

@farmhandy (US1)  From Latten's post on page 1, it doesn`t sound like they will change this....
    Latten said:
I know this can be an issue, but this has been talked over many times: If we would add an option for all players to add into a specific collection, we would have to raise the amount of collectibles significantly, so that - in the end - there won't be much of a difference.

So no, not going to happen, sorry.

  • No farmerjohn. I mean I haven't got enough for ANY collection - filled or not! And I'm busy here like a lil bee. Belive me. lol It's missing a lot in ALL of them. And I think I've built my farm pretty alright. I do a LOT of missions. I try keep everything busy 100 %. And still - not ONE collection yet.
I think this is very strange. Especially as I could get my X-mas tree in just 2,5 days! And that was 500 pieces! Also. I got those 320 japanese paintings in a few hours... And I will complete step 3 in just a few hours..
And I'm now on level 44 - was a typo in the other post... Sorry about that.
Considering I started at all in mid November - not yet a month ago I should have been able to get at least ONE of them one would think. Or??? ?( 8| :S

    Exampel:
    I need 305 puzzle pieces - I have 119.
    Need 119 business cards - have 30
    Need 1700 tickets - have only 518
    And so on.... *SIGH*
Depending on the lvl of the projects in your coop this is completely possible.  Our coop has all at lvl 4 or 5 most at 5 and players tend to have to be lvl 50 or higher to be able to donate collectable.  You are doing very well with only starting in November btw.

The business cards only come from apples or coop tree, this is the hardest collection to fill for our coop.  most have extra apples but still we are always short.
  • It would be nice and could draw even more players to the game if players in co-op's together could help each other like donating supplies such as milk, feed, crops, etc. to each other at any time to help each other complete different types of tasks.

It would also be nice if co-op members were friends and received rewards for each others play time like the friendship pennies and so forth work.
It would also be helpful if members could see last online time of other members in their co-ops rather than in last 12, 24, 48, etc., it would help the leaders determine participation decisions.

I think it was smart decision for us not be able to "donate" products for our friends, that way we can truly learn to balance our farms, what is most needed and how much of it, what to build next and so on.

I also love the fact that we can not buy gifts for others, as I been in other games where it is possible to do so, and it become a pain, literally, when kids begging. And that begging never stops. Oh, how much gold do You have, can You buy me a gift, can You buy me that or that..when its next time You getting more gold?..and it continues on and on.. :/

I also believe the coop leader can see the members activity on the coop wall (shovel and best contribution place)...and if coop is not highest on the rank list, where several projects done per day, then it's really easy to follow as it is.

    But that's my opinion.

It would be very cool if we could share collectibles as a coop.  If a project required 500 teamwork collectibles, we should be able to have multiple coop members contribute to the total rather than waiting for one person to have the entire collection
