Lists unreadable

I bought a new laptop and it's great, but the only thing it won't do is display lists  on big farm. The letters and figures are not properly formed and often unreadable. An email from big farm was the same. I have contacted support about 2  weeks ago, but have no response whatsoever. I am a coop leader and I really need to be able to read names and scores.  It's the same on chrome and edge. Zooming in or out does not help either.  Any computer buffs out there that can help me?

You have hardware acceleration turned on in your settings.

I had to turn it off myself. I was wary as 'hardware acceleration' sounds a good thing.
I have found no difference in performance.
