Village Fair Locked out?

Set (US1)

A coop member started a village fair, I could see it at one point but after I clicked on it to see what was required it disappeared. When it ended although I harvested tons of items that were involved I received zero points. I asked a coop member to share what items were required so I knew what to harvest. 

At ending this is what I saw

everything locked out, no explanation why. 

While the challenge was running I was shown the ability to choose one to start, I didnt try because I didnt want to disrupt any members.
