I've found that fishing works best for making dollars taking into consideration the time it takes to complete contracts.

I'm sure ninjahuman will make a great one that applies for everyone!
Until he has time, I will share mine. I too don't have time presently to fix this up right, so please note, this one takes into account costs based on how my farm was at the time I took the numbers; so negative happiness, library books, etc were not taken out of these equations. Therefor, anyone else would not get the exact same dollar figures for profit, but I suspect which ones that give the best profits would still be the same.

Here is an attempt at making one. It only accounts for the level 9 dairy at the moment, but you can adjust both the production costs and the values of the items that are used as the ingredients.

And nice to see that even though our #s vary a little (which I suspected would be the case), they are still in the same order of best to worst profits - - that's always a good thing
