horse breeding

I breed my first horse in the Cooperative Horse Meadow. I had to pay gold to find a matching horse because i am playing alone. The best i can tell, i got back a horse with the exact same attributes. Can someone tell me what i am doing wrong?

There is a pretty comprehensive guide in the Forum HERE

It was translated from the French Big Farm Forum by @RosyStarling

You could always join another co-op (like ours) where they do send horses to the Cooperative Horse Meadow to give you some other choices without having to spend gold.  You look a little lonely in the one you are in now  ;)

Specifically, when you attempt a breeding in the Cooperative Horse Meadow, and your horse disappeared from the Cooperative Horse Meadow and you got a new horse on the regular horse farm, then you were successful and there was some improvement made.  If the horse remained at the Cooperative Horse Meadow after a breeding attempt, the attempt failed, and you get another chance to go around the wheel and try again.

So if you were successful in your breeding but don't know what improvements you got, there are nine possibilities.  You can see these when you look your horse up in the stable on the horse farm.  Three are a basic attribute (Endurance, Strength, Agility); the other six can be seen when you bring up the 'Cooperative Horse Meadow' tab on the right side of that display.  Those other six improvements are split between ways that allow the horse to train faster on the regular horse farm, or improve it's ability to compete in one of the three racing types.

If you failed at the breeding, are still at the Cooperative Horse Meadow, and want to know how to successfully breed your horse, then here is my understanding:  when you are at the breeding stage, the big dial points to the three improvements you might get.  You generally pick a horse to breed with that has the highest number (I've seen numbers running 1-200).  That number is the chance your breeding is successful, split between the three improvements you might get.  Use the three sliders on the left side of the screen to adjust the chances of the individual improvements being successful.  If you put 100 points into one of these, then you have a 100% chance (i.e. guaranteed) of getting that improvement, and will have a successful breeding.  I usually make adjustments to bias the results toward the one or two improvements I would like to get, but none are 100%, so I might fail and have to try again.

    I hope that helps.
