Warning wanted, before Deco´s automatically upgrade to another category

I am trying to set up my deco-valley the best I can, in order to do the pleasure park event more efficient.
To do that I need a LOT of category 3 deco´s, and therefore like them to be as small as possible 3x3 fx. is good.
Now I got the little fishbowl, category 3, and went to gretha in order to upgrade it as much as I could with the spareparts and dollars I had. SUDDENLY I was gladly told that my deco now was a category 4 deco, and thereby became totally useless to me.
A little warning would be very much appreciated, before this automatic upgrade to a new category-level.

PLEASE, PLEASE - add a warning, so that all the efforts we are trying to put into the pleasure park is not spoiled.

Edit: Came to think about it, and there is a complication here, if i upgrade the dec0´s I will still risk this automatic upgrading to occur for all those deco´s - Please take a look at this unfortunate thing, and do something about it. A general warning will do :-)

Ran into that myself a few times. I agree with you, it's annoying.

This is not the same as a warning, but there is a way to tell if the decoration will increase its quality level after upgrading it.

The quality level around the black circle tells you whether the quality will increase when the decoration is upgraded.

Here is an estimate of when the decorations change quality levels:

Quality 3 becomes quality 4 at around 3.72 happiness per square
Quality 4 becomes quality 5 at around 5 happiness per square
Quality 5 becomes quality 6 at around 6.4 happiness per square
Quality 6 becomes quality 7 at around 8.12 happiness per square
Quality 7 becomes quality 8 at around 10.25 happiness per square

Thank you so much ninjahuman - that was exactly what I needed to know :-)
