The Golden Crown Event

Okay, so, to make this simple (because it is a whole new event after all) i'm going to walk you through this event as if you were playing it, i'm also going to explain it in 3 parts,

1: How to play it

2: Rewards

3: Rules and Restrictions

How to Play It

Before i say anything it is important to note that this event will run for 7 days at a time and it might be a full-time event, like the Farmer's league, it would run for 7 days, end and then that day or the next day, start again :)

So, if you saw a new event called The Golden Crown in the parking lot and clicked on it, a window would pop-up, similar to the one that opens when you click on the cc.

There would be 5 different tabs, Ranking, Produce, Fishing, Shudo Shinkai, Challenges.

Ranking would be your ranking in the event so far, produce, fishing and shudo shinkai are the 3 type of challenges that you can compete in, challenges is everything related to challenges.

So if you want to challenge someone in the Crown event, you'd go to the produce tab (for example) and there you'd have to select what you want for the challenge, this includes:

The player you want to challenge

The lenght of the challenge

The type of challenge (in produce you'll have to select your product, ie, apples or donkeys, in fishing you'll have to select your type of fish and in memory you'll have to select the number of courses).

And the type of reward you want the winner of the challenge to get paid with, i'm thinking ggs will make it so that you'll have a few options for every one.

The other two categories (shudo shinkai and fishing) are the same except for what is stated above, you must also know that for the fishing category, you can only select fish like hogfish, bass etc, this is because only fish that you fish by-hand will count for any fishing challenges.

This means that any fish oleg catches will not count at all.

In the challenges section you'll see four mini-tabs, these are:

Rejected, the challenges that you or other people have rejected.

Pending, the challenges that your opponent hasn't answered or the challenges you haven't answered.

Current challenges, all the stuff about your current challenges, how much you and you opponent have gotten so far, the reward, the time left etc.

Completed, the challenges you've completed, if you lost a challenge for collect apples, it will just say, well, lost, if won it'll say what you've won, which will consist of whatever reward you or your opponent chose when they created the challenge, how about, diamonds and also on if you won a produce or memory challenge you'll get either event points (for the wwc) or if you won a fishing challenge you'll get fishing points (also for the wwc).

Rewards

Now, whether you get fishing or event points, they will be directly added the the wwc score and if you won, let's say, 50 event points and 20 fishing points over 2 challenges of course, their'll add 70 crown points together to your ranking.

So the event or fishing points are recieved for every challenge and are used to re-asses your ranking.

The amount of event/fishing points and, in this case, diamonds that the winner will get depends on:

How many apples the winner (2).

How many apples the loser got (1).

The difference between 2 and 1 (in this instance of course).

And the capabilities for both parties for normal producing of the selected product, if the opponent won the challenge by 50 apples but had 25 apple orchards compared to your 5 apples orchards, this will decrease the amount of rewards they wins.

I'm also thinking there'll be hard work rewards (you'll win them when you reach a certain amount of crown points), and of course there'll be ranking rewards.

The most important reward (in my oppinion) is the crown.

Now, the golden crown will give you great bonuses like maybe allowing  you too see 2 tiles in every round of the shudo shinkai school and giving you bonuses for the hwe but i'm thinking maybe i should leave something for ggs and the player to come up :)

Also there will be a few types of crowns and some will give more than others.

Maybe one or two of the medium crowns could be given out as prize for #1 but the best crown (the golden crown) will not be given to #1 automatically but instead to a player that complete a hidden set of criteria.

These could be, win 8 fishing challenges, compelete 10 x 18H challenges etc. if more than 1 player completes those criteria, the crown will be given to one randomly or maybe to both of them (who knows).

All crowns will only be active for 25 days after which they'll disappear.

Rules and Restrictions

Okay, umm, just a few rules to make sure everything runs smoothly (i hope).

1. No-one under level 20 can play, this is to prevent fake accounts etc.

2. All challenges will be minimum 1hour long and max 24 hours long, for any challenges 8H's or shorter to be started both parties must be online.

3. You can only challenge the same person twice in every Crown Event.

4. You can only have 2 challenges in every category going at once, if you're maxed out with current challenges and someone that left one of your previous challenges pending for days wants to accept you're challenge, well, i guess they'll just have to wait :)

Shudo Shinkai (Memory)

This is just a little extra about the shudo shinkai category because it is a little different from the other two.

Basically the shudo shinkai challenge "form" is basically just like the forms for fishing and produce except that for this catergory of challenge there is no timer for the challenge because the challenge will only end when, let's say, 5 courses have been played by both parties.

This means that instead of picking how long he/she wants the challenge to last he/she must choose how many course must be played by both parties.

To play courses you will not need Shudo Shinkai coins though you will get none to very minimal rewards for actually matching the tiles themselves, this also means that there will be no bonus round to complete your 1 or 2 missing pairs after each round because of the lack of shudo coins.

If 5 courses are played and 1 player wins 4 and the other one wins 1, player 1 will win.

If both Player 1 and 2 won all 5 courses, or it's a draw as in 4 courses won plus 3 pairs vs the same for the other player, the winner will be decided in the time it took for them to get as far as they did.

If one of the players leaves the challenge alone for days before accepting it, the days that he waited will not be added to the time it took him to complete the courses.

Coop variation:

Just as a little side-idea i was thinking for coops to be able to challenge each other as well, and for all the members of the winning coop there'd be a nice reward though, after all, it's just an idea :D

Well, that's it for this idea, if you think it deserves a chance to be put into action, please like and if you think of any of ways it could be better or changed, please leave a comment :D
Good luck and happy farming,

Til next time,

The Best King

A good idea to make fishing by hand viable I guess, although the harvest one would be similar to the Village Fair. Otherwise, good idea to keep some features going.

Thanks for commenting, not much activity with my idea's lately lol, True about the vf, though although there are ways, it is beneficial to not exclude most of the production from a competition.

Though i must say, i do see your point completely and thought about it for a good 20 minutes when coming up with this idea about if it would be too close too the vf.

Since i'm thinking that my idea's are maybe a little bit too complicated and long-winded for a lot of players, i'm trying to come up with some simpler ones in the future that i hope you'll like :D

I think in the early days of this game, there was a type of challenge that was an actual competition between two coops or something like that. In that case it would not be too similar with village fair, but it may requires a deputy or leader of the coop to be online in order for the challenge to work.

Yep, that was called the Village league :)

Wow you do have way too much time on your hands. Just don't see how all these "great" idea's of yours is going to help get the game fixed first! So we might be able to actually play through a month of events with out some kind of glitch or bug popping up every other click or so!

@Data King (US1) Now, since i've posted what you think is more important than new good idea's, just leave my idea's alone, like seriously, i understand you believe something different to me, but haven't you heard the saying "if you don't have anything good to say, don't say anything".

That is not true. You do have good idea's, but you don't seem to understand that every time GGS brings in something new it has bugs & glitches that takes days, weeks, months, if ever to fix. How much trouble are you having playing? Wouldn't you like to be able to play with out having to stop clear your cashe & or browser's histories every 2 or 3 hours of play ?!!

Well, thanks you, first of all i'm not having really any trouble at all, sorry to hear you are.

But you don't seem to understand that nothing is perfect, if they try and fix some bugs, is there any guarantee that they won't create even worse ones? That they won't break the whole game for months?

I'm just offering some idea's, the chances are non-existent that ggs will implement them anyway, your talking to me like i'm the head developer of ggs or something.

@The Best King (INT1) I do not expect the game to be perfect all the time and if they would hire good programmers & techs. Then they wouldn't run into half as many problems has they have been. I would like them to fix, update what they can with in the game before adding more, lowering the possibilities of even more bugs & glitches being pilled on to those that already are in the game. I do wish you luck with all your ideas & suggestions - just be careful what you wish for lol

I really do understand your point of view, but i can't really speed up the process of fixing the bugs myself so i'm trying to make sure that if they implement anything new, it's at least what some of the players like :)

I wouldn't expect you to be able to speed up the fixing of the bugs your self & yes we do want more new stuff brought into the game & you have some great idea's.
If you have been with this game as long as a few of us have, you'd have a much better understanding of why a lot of us continually are complaining about the bugs being fixed first before adding any new stuff - to hopefully make it easier & quicker to repair the bugs that do show up with the new stuff. Instead of pilling them on to the 1's already there.
Honest I am trying to pick on you for suggesting idea's that you think would be good to add to the game.

I don't see why players shouldn't suggest new ideas. As it was stated before, they have to work on multiple different parts of the game at a time and they can't totally neglect not adding new things to the game. Otherwise many players will stop playing the game.

@Data King (US1) Although i'm pretty sure i haven't been here as long as most of you i do kinda understand why you are so adamant to have the bugs fixed before implementing anything new but i would have to say i lean a bit more of ninjahuman's side on this one, especially since, we all have to admit, me suggesting an idea or not is hardly going to change whether ggs adds a whole new event or fixes all the bugs.

Anyway, one of these days, the stars might align and ggs might implement one of my idea's and maybe you'll be happy that i made that suggestion after all :D
