Missions - High level players vs lower level players

I have noticed recently when doing missions higher level players are also in the mission with lower level players.

e;g. over 200 level vs less than 100.

Very difficult to obtain 1st place..!!!

Oh yes, I've been in many missions with those in the Masters League.
I stand a chance against them, uh huh.

Yep, I've stopped participating in a lot of these events because there is no fair play... being grouped with high level players who drop 100k+ items to my measly 2k - 3k means I get stuff all points, gone are the days when I could score 100k rep from a mission.

The smiley in my sig explains how I feel exactly...

This has been going on for a lot longer than 18 months ago & they have said it has been fixed lol right!
Best bet - just do what you can when you can take the rep points & hope they help the co op ;)
  • @Data King (US1) as I said, they ACKNOWLEDGED problem 18months ago.  Problems has been  there for +4 years

the real issue is goldies against non goldies.  not higher level against lower levels.  i get my rear handed to me plenty of times by lower levels. AND so do a lot of others by plenty of lower levels.  So cry me a river.

GramahLeah, i've been in missions with you.  your a decent player actually. But your not a big gold player, your not a big seaweed player either.  The problem isn't lower level vs. higher level. ITS goldie vs. non goldie. the argument of the ages on BF since the beginning of time...there is also the problem that a lot of us are very lonely at the top. there are like 30 of us up here...some of us active some of us not so much.  some don't even use gold anymore. some do.  some barely play but log in.  we would end up in loner missions and constantly end up in with each other...we are pitted against those that have climbed up to the same level. the levels drop and elevate if anyone has noticed depending on how many times you come in first. so if you find yourself coming in first a lot, your going to end up with a lot of great players. Kudos to you, your a good player.

also keep in mind we all have been there. Me included. I used to be at the bottom, then worked my way up. you do not become a great player over night. People want instant gratification and if they don't get it, they want to change the entire system. Then everyone pays the price.  that isn't right!

what isn't right is that GGS agreed over 18 months ago that the formula for RP is not working as it should.  If it was working as it should if a low level player is put against a high level player or gold user, then they should get more RP then if against low level players.  Only problem is that with the set up as it is SUPPOSE to work coming last always gives points as if solo.  Which is also wrong they should get 10% bonus.

GGS has agreed that the formula is not working correctly but has done NOTHING about it.  Totally ignored it time and time again.  They have introduced so much in the last 18 months but to fix a formula must be far too hard, they would prefer to bring in more bugs then fix a KNOWN problem.

The model for RP payout is NOT mine it is GGS.

IT DOES NOT WORK AS IT IS INTENDED TO, THEY NEED TO FIX IT AND WE HAVE BEEN SAYING THIS FOR YEARS NOT JUST 18 MONTHS.

I'm level 34 and was just put up against a lvl 682 player. Yep, that's fair. During this run of missions (8 in this round), their were a few lvl 400+ as well.

Luckily I had boosters on. I'd never score any decent RP points :\

Oh yes, I'm aware that the high level players I am up against use a great deal of gold. All one needs do is look at their farms with such a large number of blue buildings and other items that require gold.
I'm not mad; but there are times I get a bit bemused going up against the top ten in the country, over and over again, when I'm not that level at all.

i feel for those ppl who are lower level  i would tell the ppl who r just starting to play this game that the only way not to get in a loop with the higher level ppl is to not buy any library books or use seaweed in missions whatsoever this game learns the minute you start dumping alot of items to be in first is where your downfall starts so the best thing to do is not play with seaweed or gold to be in first Trust me I LEARNED THE HARDWAY  when it gave me the task to play missions for the first time i tried to beat the top player in mission and i won but with a very bad out come i got stuck with heavy hitters from that point on and I was lvl 20 for the ppl who have been playing this game for a long a** time there is no hope for us just do the best you can dont waste your gold or seaweed use it for for something else like Village Fair remember this game is ALL ABOUT BRAGGING RIGHTS NOTHING MORE what really should be done is put all masters league co-ops with masters league gold league co-ops with gold league and so on and so forth at least there will be some fighting chance for ppl

Yes @A1234567890 (US1) , how much RP you earn is known to be one of the criteria for matching players in missions. In my early days I avoided upgrading the Multifarmer for exactly that reason. I needed the certificates to upgrade my tractors but had no wish to gain more RP than was absolutely necessary

so i wonder will there be an adverse effect if one chooses to drop ones RP purposely to go to the lower ranks by lets say keep placing 6th place i wonder did not know RP had to do with that very good to know thank you

Yes you can lower your rp ranking by not doing missions for a spell - a certain % comes off ur total weekly I believe ;)

It makes no difference, the problem is there is no fair play anymore... I'm somewhat amused by the survey's I used to get in mail asking about fair play and how important it is, I haven't got one of these survey's in ages because I assume they don't care anymore.

Yep "fair play" is dead in this game!  Those numbers speak for themselves...

Agree @archerbob (AU1) but they did ask if it was possible to lower their rep points ranking & yes there is.

And as I stated it makes no difference, you still get placed with ridiculous high level players for the missions anyway regardless
