Any chance that we can be able to change our player name?

I would LOVE to have to option to change my player name, even if it requires spending some gold to do it. I know of other player who are using name such as "player#4747474747" and would like to use a more personal name to play with.
Please consider allowing at least 1 change of name to occur.

Would be a nice option.
 But not here with out a very good reason as to why you want the name change to occur. There are very few exceptions that GGS will allow a name change. Your more than welcome to try by sending a request to support for a name change. Just don't hold your breath for a reply from them any time soon. As this will be low on their "to do list"

I'm seeing a whole flood of people with names like Player134589083 (apologies if that's you -- I'm using a random made-up number).  When there's more than one of them it's impossible to tell them apart.

Apparently this comes from people who joined through Facebook.

This question was asked a lot three or four years ago, and the answer then was "You have to write to Support and they only change it if the name is offensive in some language" (or words to that effect).  But seriously, the flood of Player094859439s is going to make this less of a friendly place where you can get to know people and recognize them when they post or give you sparklies.

If they sign up through facebook I was told all they have to do is tell support the name they would like.support will change it this one time because they are not being given a choice when they sign up. I was also told they are trying to change it so they can choose from the begging like they should be able too. I had someone in my coop ask and they did do it for them.they said it was pretty easy all they had to do was send in a ticket

Its true that support does not change usernames unless there is a really good reason for it. This is because the frequent name change can be abused in some cases.

It is also true that the registration via facebook has some problems (selecting a random name for a players). We warned developers about it and the answer was that the facebook players with random generated names are exception. They can contact support and ask for the name change and the support will change the names for them without problems.
