With all the new events and bugs.  Every new event that comes along brings more and more bugs with it - and not one of the old existing bugs gets fixed.  They go in, change something, alter another, and tamper with another and a whole new set of bugs appear.  Yes, I know its going to be a big job, but that is because they have ignored so many bugs for so long, and just written new code for something else instead that brings a few more and more still.

Its summer holiday season, so there will be fewer players online anyway to 'enjoy' (lol) the new or revamped events, so why not hold off with them, test them properly and fix their errors during a quieter time.

I cant be the only player so fed up with the bugs - we know they wont listen - they never do - but sense says fix whats broken before bringing out yet more new/revamped things to a reduced customer base.

Even in our earliest education we cant get away with saying 1 + 1 = 2.7, or saying A,B,D and blaming it on a bug - its either right or its wrong.  Time for the coding team to go back to basics and get it right and make the much needed corrections.

*laughs* and you imply that we who wish bugs would be fixed ... don´t? We are still here, right

Bugs do happen, that is true, but funny enough they get fixed at other online games. The other ones that I play or have played at least. But here, they seem to carry on forever.

So why not, like AmazingMurphy (GB1) writes in this tread, doesn´t the programmers here get some time off from creating continuing new evnts and concentrate on fixing the worst bugs at least? Whats so *sighing* wrong about that?

  • One big bug - and its still happening for me, is everytime the PP runs I lose all of my village happiness.  They are aware, have compensated with 5 seaweed humus the first time, 50 seaweed feed the second time - but not reimbursed any of my approx 10 million village dollars.  So, my choices?  Either do not take part - ie excluded from that event or lose yet more dollars, put in another support ticket and repeat each time?  Relog isn't going to fix that!  Move on isn't going to fix that!

    The FHWE - bugged.

Sparkled fields and stables - bugged

Omas still taking 100 gold instead of 1 token - bugged

No matter how many times we relog its not going to fix those problems.

I am truly fed up with every single thing seeming to have an issue at the momemt and to simply say oh well, move on isn't good enough.

I do pay my way so to speak and purchase gold and expect a decent product for my money.  If I bought a pair of shoes that fell to bits on the first wear I would want my money back - as I believe would most.  I cant see how expecting a game to work correctly is any different.
  • Be glad you haven't gotten a lengthy line of "visual error" excuses from your bug reports.

I quit reporting bugs because instead of working on them they spent time responding to me, claiming they were just visual errors. The only response I need from them is questions if they need clarification on something.

So, I still get the bug of fishing contracts that have had ZERO fish applied from subscriptions after being told it had been fixed twice and is now just another visual error.

To me visual errors should be simple to fix, even though it is still a bug.

Not to mention very old ones that they think we've gotten used to:  dog feeding, harvest indicators not working as they should (esp. on the FF), if waiting at the Jetty when boat arrives, you can't access the treasure chest, invisible boat docking, disappearing ZZZs so you think you've planted/fed things that you actually haven't, etc. Work arounds, work arounds, work arounds ... tired of them.  As pointed out, other games fix bugs before moving on to something new. Wayyyy back when, this game did, too.

    The game works correctly

You expect it to work "Perfectly"

And that, No matter what will never happen

Its like expecting your car to never encounter any issues over time

Its like expecting your house to never have to spend money on it, to fix issues

Its like expecting your body to never encounter any issues or health problems or injuries

Things Breaks ( its a basic concept, and we have very little control on that )

Could GG allocate more ressources on bug fixing? Maybe , At the expense of developing new content?

That would be a terrible idea , it would probably send them in the red

How much would you pay them for the bugs you want fixed?

  • Excellent points for the argument of fixing bugs.

More than most people fix things that aren't working correctly.

    Exxy (INT1)

We have paid them enough already! For maintenance and the game.

Expect us to pay more, you say? For maintenance that we have paid for and not gotten?

You are a kidder for sure *laughs*

The game only works "correctly" if players do certain things like reload the game once or twice an hour to get rid of the many bugs currently experienced during gameplay. While i'm not as angry as others are about this I can't say anything positive about it. If this game was completely free with no money money exchanged AT ALL then the occasional bug is fine but some players are spending real money here and the game in its current state is unacceptable.

If you buy a product and had to do things like click the ON and OFF buttons 4 times and tip it to its side for a minute then rotate it counter clockwise just to make it work that would also be VERY unacceptable, how is this any different??? Real money has been exchanged, GGS is the business, the player is the customer.....the business is providing a mediocre product/service by ignoring bugs just to provide new content. Its very dodgy and amateurish and thats putting it nicely.
  • No the game doesn't work correctly!  If it did I would not have lost millions of village dollars that they wont give back.  Players would get the rewards from cc's etc without having to put in support tickets.  Thew FHWE bug would not exist.

The games works, yes - but not correctly.

We have enough new content/revamped events now to last a few months whilst we all get used to it.  Its time for GGS to put their big boy pants on, admit there are too many issues and bugs and get on with the task of fixing them.

From a financial viewpoint for thee company, it wold be a bonus too.  Players leave not because of new content, but because they are fed up with the constant bugs and issues they dont get sorted out.  Some of those leavers will have been gold buyers,  Keep the gold buyers and keep the money coming in.
  • if they got rid of the bugs, they would need less support workers saving themselves a lot of money or be able to hire more programmers.

They dont need to fix bugs if your still paying to play, why should they ? if the players are willing to pay for a bug ridden game then all is good. You know the answer yet you all still hand over your money and complain that they are not fixing it !!

I  for one have stopped buying gold and won´t put anymore real money into this game before I see improvements.

Actually GGs has pushed me over to another online game not owned by them and thats where my money goes atm.

    Cheers

AGREED with the OP here 100%.   But you do know your barking at a dead horse here.
Last time I posted a list of bugs my whole thread got deleted.   When I asked why I got back we already know about it, it's already been posted.  Bury the whole thread, we don't want people complaining so just shove it under the rug.
Fine.  So NOTHING GETS FIXED.... just don't post it again.
GG is more concerned with coming up with events that some people just gotta win and will spend real money to do it.  And what exactly is your prize?   A bit of deco?  Flower seeds?  Oh, plots of farm land... Where is the NO I DON'T want it then get farm cash instead?  Or let us OPT OUT of events we are not interested in.
That would be some free info for GG as to what works and what doesn't.

So my answer to that?  NEW EVENTS..... ALL OF THEM, get a huge zzzzzz from me.
I may look them over but will NEVER get invested in it.  And almost always there will be rapidly filling threads of complaints.    So it's like the first time out is their beta test.
NEVER spend any more than you want to throw away on trying them.

As for other competitive events, not for me.  (Though I have to admit the CC, even though it rolls around WAY too often, that one is easy enough to collect points, and the whole team gets rewards... so that ONE is kinda worth playing.)
But the HWE?   no,   Village fair I HATE that thing on the side in the way.  And anyone can start things, leaders know long ones are bad but newbies just do it anyway.
And many other events I don't even know what your suppose to do.  I keep getting prizes and awards and not a clue what I did other than just play as I always do.   Those are an incredibly stupid waste of resources and time that could have been spent fixing issues.

So I just farm my farms, once in about six blue moons I can actually afford a plot of land. Chat with my team mates, and I'm happy with that.  Doubt this game will ever be more than a click fest.

oh well, coffee is ready, time for my clickfest.
  • Yes, I remember that thread - it was useful for other players too - I know I looked at it when I had an issue to see if it was something affecting others too, if it was a common error or a new one etc.  Shame it vanished.
